Feel like a part of the community in this charming Saugatuck home. This charming one bedroom cottage is part of a two unit historic home in downtown Saugatuck making it a perfect retreat after a day of exploration.
Offering its own private entrance on Butler Street, the entire space is located on the first level. French doors open into a large bright bedroom with a Queen bed. Additional sleeping space is provided in the living room with a Full sofa sleeper. The fully equipped kitchen offers all the conveniences to prepare a complete meal which can be enjoyed at the two person high tabletop or taken outside to one of two private areas.
A highlight of this home is the spacious screen porch with various seating options and the perfect view for watching the activity along Butler Street. The lush landscaping keeps you protected from view however! Off the kitchen you will find a private deck with table and chairs as well as a gas grill. This property is also dog friendly.
The main shopping district of Saugatuck is just a block away for your convenience. Butler's Quarters may be combined with Northgate for additional space.
Butler's Quarters is a small, cozy cottage-type place. The service from Lakeshore Lodging was great from orignal booking to check-out. The location of the home was ideal...walkable to everything in town. It has a great front screeened in porch that we spent a lot of time in. We did think it felt a little small and could have been a little cleaner.
This was our sixth time staying in Saugatuck for a week in a rental home. We loved the location of Butler's Quarters and the overall charm of the property. Unfortunately, unlike our previous stays, the property was in need of basic improvements. The sofa was worn out and uncomfortable to sit on. The landscape needed maintenance (the patio, tables, and chairs were covered in leaves and pine needles, the window boxes were full of dead plants, and the bushes were overgrown, there were bare nails on the walls where pictures were previously hung, and the kitchen was barely equipped with the basics.) We will be more careful in the future choosing a property.
We have stayed at this property many times. The location is great but I am not sure what the major refresh was that is stated in the description. The property has been for sale the past couple of years so you would think it would be in the condition to show. It is a lovely house but really needs some tlc. Large weeds are growing out of the upstairs planters. People used to stop and admire the front. Be sure to bring basics such as salt, pepper, plastic wrap, hair dryer, etc. only the basics are supplied. On a positive note, bed is comfortable, good tv with extended cable channels, screened porch is nice for relaxing and people watching. Parking is an issue because there is no driveway, therefore, on busy days you may have to park some distance.
