Brancacci apartment is located in the historic center of Florence, in the Oltrarno area, from which all galleries, museums and the main railway station can easily be reached in 5-10 minutes walk.
The district is very trendy, with nice antique shops, artisans, restaurants. The apartment, in a beautiful 17th century palace, is very cozy and young: the 3 rooms are located on 3 levels and are connected by a spiral stair case. The bedroom, in the attic, has a double bed (or 2 single beds on request), the sitting room has a large pull out sofa that can be easily transformed into a double bed, then there is the beautiful kitchen with a large table and the arched ceiling, and the bathroom with a large shower.
I welcome my guests with fresh fruit and flowers, cookies and wine. In the kitchen you will also find extra virgin olive oil, vinegars, sugar, salt, coffee, teas, spices.
I like suggesting my clients what to do and what to see in Florence and give them any help.

........we have nothing but fond memories of our stay there.........we found the location ideal to explore nearby attraction by foot....the house was tastefully decorated and we always took a moment to marvel its unique architecture...........Rita is by far the most gracious host I have ever met while traveling and what really struck me was her warmth and willingness to plan our stay in Florence.

...we were looking for a place we could call home, come and go from, that was within walking distance to everything. Rita the owner was wonderful
and very helpful. I recommend this apt for anyone looking for a reasonably priced......it is only ten minutes from the Termini for those who want to venture by train the other areas of interest in Italy.
From John B May 2013
The interior decor puts one in mind of the Tuscan countryside and the owner puts one in mind of the elegance of the fabled cradle of the renaissance. The location is superb for those like myself who want to be near to historic center without having to deal with the throngs of tourists....
From Elizabeth Apr 2013
...........the kitchen is where we spent most of our time, I set my laptop at the table and had great internet, we cooked several mea.ls and we felt 'very Italian'. Rita was very friendly, it was like we were renting from a friend. The apartment was very clean and well equipped with blankets, pillows and all the kitchen utensils..our next trip will be based on the availability of this apartment, we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Florence.
From Kathy R Oct 2012
...........the location is just excellent, in a charming historic square steps from an important church/fresco...........the price was a real bargain, particularly for the location. An excellent choice for the budged conscious traveler- Rita was very helpful and cheerful...........
I have always been in contact with foreigners as I worked for many many years in the export business, in the fields of fashion and of giftware. More recently I involved myself in tourism as I like to go on having contacts with persons coming from other countries.
I was a traveler myself, I visited many African countries, Yemen, India, Maldives, Perù, plus of corse most of European countries.
I love art and I am an amateur photographer, this is my hobby.
We had a Wonderful stay at Rita's place for 5 days this August. We have nothing but fond memories of our stay there. If you want to explore Florence and live its medieval splendour, look no further than the Brancacci! Given that we were travelling with a 6 month old baby, we found the location ideal to explore nearby attractions by foot. The house was tastefully decorated and we always took a moment to marvel its unique architecture! Rita is by far the most gracious host I have ever met while travelling and what really struck me was her warmth and willingness to help and plan our stay in florence. We would definitely return again.
Location of the apartment is convenient.
Shower has great water pressure.
Rita( the owner) helped us find a driver to take us to Tuscany for the day - wine tasting.
We had a fabulous time in Florence with the help
Of our Hostess with theMostest Rita. She was there by emailOn this site for every recommendation we needed during our stay. ( restaurants, shoes or clothes purchases) whatever we needed She even gave us a
Recommended itenerary for seeing this fine city.
We loved the church on the hill to see a beautiful
View of the city's do listen to Gregorian chants the first eve. The wine in the apartment was a nice touch. She even helped
In getting us to the train station
We loved our stay and would come to this apartment again.
This was a wonderful apartment to stay in during our week in Florence. The location was very central to everything we wanted to see and do in the city, and we loved the local feel of having restaurants, a market and a laundromat nearby. Would definitely recommend to others who are seeking a nice alternative to a hotel.
Our family of 4 stayed here in October for 3 nights and had a wonderful time! We enjoyed the location for being close enough to walk everywhere including the major sights across the river & the church of San Miniato up the hill with great views & Gregorian chanting. Our lovely hostess Rita made several great recommendations - including a fabulous, authentic Florentine dinner out, stores, markets & the above mentioned church. She also left a delicious treat of wine & gluten free food on our arrival since she knew 2 of our family have celiac disease. There was a great wine bar nearby that my husband & I enjoyed & a gelateria near the river that we indulged in several times during our stay - great prices in the Oltrarno too! The apartment worked well for the 4 of us, it's entrance is on the ground floor and includes the living area with the sofa bed our teenage daughters shared. Then up a spiral staircase was our bedroom - very comfortable, & down the same spiral staircase is the kitchen & bathroom. Not the easiest to traverse if you have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, but very doable & part of the fun & adventure of being abroad. :) The kitchen had everything you could need, including a good size table to have a meal at, which we did some of the time. All in all we would definitely return & would recommend this place & wonderful Rita to anyone - as long as you're ok with stairs. Thanks again Rita!!
This apartment is located on the left side of the Arno river, called Oltrarno by the Florentines. It is a trendy residential area with antique shops, artisans, coffee bars, pubs, delicatessens. It is a small apartment, (40 sq meters) consising of three nice rooms (plus bathroom) in a beautiful antique building of the historic center, so it is very close to all sites of interest.
The Brancacci chapel is next to the apartment, and all most important Florentine treasures such as Palazzo Pitti, Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Vecchio, Duomo, Galleria degli Uffizi etc etc are within five - ten minutes walk.
In summer you can also sun bath on the Arno river which is also very close to the apartment.
Besids Galleries and Museums there is a place to go, which again is near the apartment, and is the large Cascine Park, where every Tuesday morning a very big market is held and where you can find everything , from flowers, to vegetables, any type of food, giftware, clothing, accessories: it is a nice long walk with the river on one side and the big trees of the park on the other side. You would enjoy it.
Besides Piazza del Carmine where the apartment is located, you would also love spending some evenings in Piazza Santo Spirito and in Piazza Tasso, a few minutes from the apartment, where you can sit outside the nice restaurants and pubs and enjoy the beautiful squares in a nice atmosphere.
I could go on providing you other interesting insight into any must-see-places and must-do activities, but I prefer to leave up to you to discover the many interesting places in the area.
In the apartment you will also find a binder booklet that I wrote myself with my suggestions about what to do and what to see in Florence: it is really useful because in there I point out places that are less known than the very famous ones, but that in my opinion you should not miss. One of my guests told me he considered my little booklet as his "bible" while visiting Florence.
Also guide books are available in the apartment.
