About Jody Landgrebe Owner/Manager
I've lived in the Custer area for 13 years and am a South Dakota native. After living out of state for 18 years, I returned to South Dakota for a more peaceful life.
Jody Landgrebe Owner/Manager purchased this Cabin in 2011
Why Jody Landgrebe Owner/Manager chose Custer
I vacationed in the Custer area as a child, and returned to it because I've found the Custer area to be the perfect blend of rustic country living, beautiful scenery and friendly people. The town of Custer has all the shopping, restaurants and entertainment that anyone could possibly need without the frenzy of fast food, Walmarts and traffic that frazzle city folks lives.
What makes this Cabin unique
I love this cabin's location, near Custer State Park and Wind Cave National park. Just 1.5 mile east is the back entrance to Wind Cave Park at an area where you can generally find herds of Buffalo and Elk. The cabin itself is very private as it is not visible from the road. Near dusk and dawn you can sometimes see elk at the front of the property near the creek area.

Two years ago we went to our children and asked them if they wanted Christmas presents or a family trip of their choice within a 8 hour drive from Omaha. They choose the black hills in winter! So we went on home away and found our cabin. It happened to be managed by Jodi. After that stay, and the experience this year we looked for a “Jodi” property again to rent and we were able to find one! It was perfect! We had a great time and even when we messed up on our dates she gave us the time to get out and even took the time to see if she had another cabin we could have for just one night. Thank you again Jodi!
Beautiful & peaceful
I really enjoyed my time here. Jody was super easy to work with. The house was even nicer than the photos. It is super close to Wind Cave NP and Custer state park where I was able to hike each day. Within just a few miles from the cabin I was able to photograph multiple bison, pronghorn, coyotes, elk, deer, Golden eagles, and so much more. I even witnessed a bison giving birth and watched the calf take its first steps. I loved the solitude and peacefulness of this property, and yet it is only 15 minutes to Custer. I highly recommend this place!
Beautiful, Secluded, Peaceful.....a little piece of Heaven on Earth!
Scenery around the cabin was breathtaking! And the cabin......pictures simply do not do it justice. Beautifully decorated....kitchen well equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of room to sprall out and quaint enough to come together. Plenty of wildlife close by...deer will even come on the property to say hello! You will not be disappointed staying at the Beaver Creek cabin!!!
Private and spacious!
We enjoyed our family vacation in this cabin. We had plenty of room for all of us to relax and enjoy different activities. We liked the privacy and views. The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed. Would stay there again.
This is a beautiful house,in a great location. Close to Wind Cave and Custer Parks. Very well equipped with everything you need. Jody, the owner is very easy to work with. You can't go wrong with this property.
Thank you very much. We enjoyed having you and hope you can return soon!
Beautiful accomodations in a serene setting
Loved this cabin. There was ample space and the décor was perfect. Kitchen had everything we could have needed.
The road wasn't plowed - it looks like it was almost plowed all the way, but there was a stretch (about 15-20 ft) where the plow stopped and didn't finish clearing a path. We had some trouble getting over that snow
The fans in the bathrooms need to be cleaned (bathroom fan downstairs had many dead bugs in it)
The beds are super comfy, but they don't seem to be very stable - lots of rocking motion
With all of this said, I would definitely return. LOVED IT HERE.
