The Pikes Peak region is beautiful and peaceful at the same time. At over 9000 feet, you truly are 'in the mountains.' We decided to move to this area so that we could live in the mountains instead of just look at them. The people in Teller County are friendly and believe that living here is one of life's best kept secrets. Pikes Peak itself is majestic and the views that you get driving from Colorado Springs around the mountain to Divide are some of the best in Colorado. The outdoor activities in the Pikes Peak region attracted us to visit and then we fell in love with the area.
The Lodge at Elk Valley has become very special to all who stay here. When not being rented out, we use this facility as our headquarters for our ministry with single parents and non-nuclear families. Many events have given opportunity for peace, hope, comfort and healing. The facility is amazing! Our rental guests will truly 'Find their Quiet' as they wake up every morning to the views of Pikes Peak and the wildlife on the property. Our Lodge becomes a place of rest, reflection and refocus for our guests. You will return home changed from your stay at the Lodge at Elk Valley.
We had a Family reunion/ Surprise 80th Birthday party here this past weekend! The house is beautiful! It was the perfect location! We had family/friends come in from all over United States and even Ireland! So much to see and do in area OR just spend a quiet evening! Perfect! Hope to do it again next year!
The Lodge at Elk Valley was an exceptional selection for our family reunion. Everyone was impressed with the charm and comfort the Lodge provided. With 23 family members we had plenty of room, lots of activities, and even a rocking chair for a quiet moment or conversation. It was a perfect location for all to arrive from CA, MN, TX, IA and CO, easy to find yet very private. The pricing was affordable, the views spectacular and Gary and Lois are the BEST of Hosts! We would recommend the Lodge to everyone for a wonderful getaway experience. Everything was Perfect !
When my wife and I decided to have our wedding Colorado, we knew family and friends would have to travel from the East Coast. We wanted to have everything taken care of some people could come out and relax and make the wedding a multi-day reunion and coming together of two families. We looked at many house and just were not finding what we were looking for, such as views, space, privacy, handicap accessible, and affordability. Once we came to The Lodge at Elk Valley and met the owner we were blown away. Not only where the views breathtaking, but no one else we talked to was this friendly, genuine or willing to help two young people. This guy is awesome and he really cares, can't say enough good things about him. The house is handicap accessible too, which is great for old family members and people who have trouble getting around. Also, the lodge has tables, chairs, and perfect wedding decorations, savings renters even more money on their wedding. If you are looking for a destination wedding or an amazing family reunion spot, there is no better place!
The Lodge was perfect for our stay !! We had everything we needed to make this the perfect family vacation and celebration for our very special family event !! We would stay here again !!!
Me and my husband had our wedding here and it was the MOST beautiful wedding we could have ever imagined! It was a little expensive for us, but I loved this place, and the owners are very sweet! The view all around the cabin is fabulous with aspen groves and pikes peak and lots of wildlife (we saw elk and two bears on the property while staying there!) It is such a wonderful cabin and it's even more beautiful than the pictures! I definitely recommend the lodge at elk valley.
The Lodge was perfect for our romantic weekend getaway. We loved how serene and beautiful it was. We drove to Buena Vista - only an hour away to Mt. Princeton, the hot springs and enjoyed a relaxing day there. We also had a romantic, delicious meal at The Swiss Chalet in Woodland Park. We enjoyed hiking, which the lodge has beautiful ample grounds for on the property. The views of Pikes Peak are glorious. Also the owners are so pleasant to work with. We feel so relaxed and rejuvenated as we headed back to Denver this morning.
