About Ben King
I am a 61 year old husband, father of two wonderful children and Grandfather of three grand kids. In my spare time I play golf with my son and friends. I enjoy the outdoors and living in the Shenandoah Valley, which is truly "Gods Country". I have often thought, if God owned a motorcycle, the Shenandoah Valley would be his primary destination.
Ben King purchased this Cabin in 2013
What makes this Cabin unique
My home is secluded without being remote. My nearest neighbor is 3/4 of a mile from the cabin. Even with this seclusion I can be in Luray to shop in less than 15 minutes. For those that can't cut the cord I offer cable TV and wireless internet.

Perfect Size and Accomodations
We found this beautiful cabin to be big enough to give plenty of elbow room for the couples that came up for wintery NYE retreat and small enough to give that cozy cabin feeling. The large dinner table was great and a large kitchen area to entertain those staying with us and friends that were lodging in town. It was also a very short drive to "downtown" Luray to get provisions. And even with the small snowfall, all our cars had no problem getting up the grade. The entrance is also well marked. Our thanks to Ben for also stopping by to make sure we had all we needed.
Great house for large families!
Loved the house! The driveway could use some flattening out in some areas.
Surrounded by beauty
We loved our stay here! It comfortably held 8 of us +1 toddler. Every side has amazing views and places to just sit and relax. The basement has lots of fun for kids. There is a cabin right next door and they were very, very loud on our last night as we were trying to relax by the fire pit.
Beautiful area, nice house, but horrible furnishings
We had a great time during our stay at this property. The location is great and very close to Shenandoah National Park. Although the house itself was very nice, the furnishings were not. All the beds creaked very loudly when getting in and out and the couches were deteriorating with pieces of the cheap vinyl falling off every time we sat on them. Given the price we paid for this house, I expected much better quality furniture. Additionally, the sheets were also in poor condition, thread bare and stained. So, if you want a pretty area, a nice house and are ok with old worn out furniture, this would be a good rental for you.
Perfect place for group stay in the Shenandoah
Stayed here for a fall foliage weekend with a group of friends - perfect place for a group ... very nicely finished house, well appointed kitchen, amazing views from every window and multiple decks. 15 minutes from Thornton Gap entry into Skyline Drive. Highly recommend!
BRAND NEW CABIN. Granite countertops, wood flooring, pool table, charcol grill, gas fireplace, and much more. This cabin is easily accessible but privately situated in the mountains with 360* mountain views. It is approximately 2 hours from Washington D.C., 5 miles to Luray Caverns and Skyline Drive Entrance, and 1 mile from Lake Arrowhead (which has a sanded beach area, fishing, hiking, and picnicking) . It is FULLY FURNISHED. Handicap accessible.
