Huddle Bay Lakehouse is located on the end of a quiet road on a point. It faces the bay with a nice view of the mountains to the west. Spend the day enjoying the many decks for dinning and relaxing with direct access to the dock. Or, spend the day exploring the lake from this midpoint location on the gateway to the beauiful Narrows on Lake George. Relax on the multi-levels decks leading to the waterfront or take a paddle in the kayak or canoe.. Swim off the dock to the swimfloat or just float around in a tube. There is pleanty to do by day or night. Spend the evening by the firepit or take the short drive to quiant town of Bolton Landing away from the crowds. Fine Dining, shopping and antiquing will easily past the time away. Take a drive to the North and explore the areas historic ruins from the French and Indian Wars such and Crown Point and Fort Ticondiroga. Bring your boat and tie up to the 40' dock or rent one from across the bay.
The deck provides an outdoor cooking area with dinning table set, captain's table with chairs and firepit/coctail table with chairs. Additional seating and lounge chairs are are available for sitting and sunbathing on the dock.
Had a wonderful family vacation, great location on huddle bay with views and a dock for swimming or just jumping off the dock. Plenty of " toys" provided as well, floats, canoe, kayak, etc. just 5 - 10 mins from Bolton landing.
Great location and great outdoor space. Enjoyed swimming every day, as well as kayaking and canoeing. Children, 2 and 4, loved swimming off the dock (in life vests) as well fishing off the dock. Only 2 negatives were old mattresses (no biggie) and ADK ski school in nearby Bolton Landing that runs their clientele in the cove - don't seem to be very safe or attentive to other boaters or people in the water. Can't wait to go back next year.
Great location, awesome property with lots of outdoor relaxing space. My children are 2 and 4 and our rules are life vests on the doc. They loves daily swimming in the beautiful water and fishing off the doc - caught plenty of Sunnies and even a catfish. Saw some perch as well. The only 2 downsides were the beds were a bit old so I did not get a good night's sleep as I am used to my new mattress at home. Other downside was the ADK school (will be giving them a negative review) tends to use the cove for their school for waterskiing, wakboarding, etc and they do not seem to practice safe boating or even awareness. Looking forward to staying there again next year as we love Lake George and Bolton Landing and are planning on coming back next year
My girlfriend, best friend, another friend and his girlfriend, and myself just stayed at this property from May 24th, 2015 through May 31st, and it was one of the best weeks of my life quite honestly. First off, the property is very private, you'll likely see nobody else until you decide to wander into Bolton or nearby Lake George Village; We spent more than one day, once we'd done some grocery shopping, without leaving the property at all. We'd stocked the fridge in the bar with plenty to drink, and even the heat sensitive like myself had a good time sitting by the water under the many umbrellas, while the rest of our party enjoyed the water and the sun.
There's also PLENTY to do within a short drive, whether you're familiar with the area like we were from repeated vacations in the area, or not; Fear not, the owner is very friendly and very willing to impart his knowledge of local places to dine out, or activities to enjoy, and he's willing to give suggestions if you give him a call, as well as having brochures for plenty of local activities and attractions in the property's living room. You WON'T go unamused.
As far as the house itself goes? Comfy beds, wifi now being offered, a large flat screen in the living room with cable, but you'll hardly need those things, look at the outside in the pictures here ... you'll still be impressed when you arrive.
In closing, I'd highly recommend a booking here if you're looking for a nice, secluded lakeside stay in Lake George.
Nice quiet place, extremely clean. Deck and fire pit was great for evenings. Owner was extremely helpful with knowledge of lake. Showed us great places to boat to. Can't wait to return next year.
We had such an awesome stay at this lake front home. Enjoyed swimming and fishing off the dock and evening campfires. Convenient to shopping, attractions and fine Restaurants. See you next year!
Easy access to Bolton Landing. Located in Huddle Bay, providing easy access to the Narrows and Lake George Village by boat. Plenty of hiking trail are a skip away. Just to the south is Lake George Village. The Village has great night life and plenty of things for kids to do, including visiting Fort William Henry (Last of the Mohicans) Scenic Boat trips are also available all day long departing from the village. Just South of the Village is Six Flags Great Escape and waterpark, a must do if you have children.
