From the time we walked into this cabin, I knew my selection of where to stay in Hocking Hills was the right one. The cabin was awesomely clean, very well decorated, and smelled wonderful. The view out the sliding glass doors on the first floor was absolutely stunning. We were just as impressed when we went downstairs to check out the lower level. It was just as beautiful as the first floor. The weather was such that I was able to sit out on the patio and read a book. One thing that really impressed me was the number of Bible based books on the book cases in the lower level. I even read one called "God's Story, Your Story: When His Becomes Yours" by Max Lucado. This was an awesome read. We also made use of the hot tub on the lower level patio one evening. One place we visited was the strip mall of antique shops. Once again the weather was beautiful, and we were able to enjoy a leisurely stroll from shop to shop. We have visited Hocking Hills a number of times, and I can say Matt's place is my absolute favorite. Matt was great to work with and responded to our questions and inquiries in a timely manner. He even went above and beyond and emailed me the paint colors used in his cabin when I asked if he'd mind getting them for me after we'd gone home. He is absolutely wonderful to work with, and I look forward to another stay when I am ready for some R&R, peace and tranquility from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Thanks Matt for sharing your beautiful property with us.
We absolutely loved this cabin! It was clean, spacious, and had it all! The beds were very comfy, and the hot tub was awesome! I will def try and stay here again next time I visit Hocking Hills.
What a lovely place to visit! The reason for our visit was a birthday celebration and Valentines hike. I'm so glad I found this listing, everything was just perfect. Matt was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We will be back!
We were two couples traveling together looking for a relaxing place to stay while exploring the area and it's fall colors. One couple stayed in an upstairs bedroom and another couple downstairs. Each couple had their own bathroom which worked out well. Sitting by the firepit and enjoying the hottub at night was a great way to end each day. Matt, the owner, was very pleasant and easy to reach if needed. The cabin was very clean and I would highly recommend it! Thanks Matt for your hospitality!
We had a complication in the beginning with booking but after that zero problems! They were VERY accommodating to make sure we had a great stay. The cabin is beautiful inside and out as well as clean! We loved how warm and inviting the cabin was...if anyone wanted to go to sleep early they had no problem sleeping when the rest of us were loud downstairs, they said they couldn't hear a thing! We would all definitely book this cabin again!
We had a wonderful time at Waters Edge for a long summer weekend. The cabin was large enough for 2 families with kids. We had a dinner everynight on the upstairs covered porch which was very enjoyable even with rain. The kids caught some small fish in the pond and large bass in the river! I highly recommend this cabin.
