Hi, our names are Katy and Thorsteinn and we are the owners of Little White Castle. We run a fully licensed Travel Agency in Iceland and we offer both Tours & Accommodation on site. First & Last, we love creating a happy & memorable stay for our guests.
Katrin purchased this Studio in 1999
Why Katrin chose Reykjanesbær
We fell in love with this house the moment we saw it because we saw the potentials. In the beginning, it was the ugly duckling of our town Keflavik, but after years of renovation and redesigning we were rewarded twice by the community for the renovation of the house and garden. This was in the year 2007 and 2015. Now we invite others to enjoy our creation because after all the best things in life should be shared.
What makes this Studio unique
Whether it be because of the fairy tale hidden garden with its 3 patios, Waterfall and Geothermal heated Jacuzzi, relaxing in front of one of the fireplaces, getting a good nights rest before your flight or simply because of the short distances to some of the most famous tourist attractions in Iceland. You will definitely love staying at the Little White Castle and rest assured that we will do our best to make your stay a memorable one in the 'Happy memories' category.

Beautiful garden apartment
We stayed here on our last night in Iceland. It’s a beautiful garden apartment with a lovely patio and access to a hot tub.
The host was very welcoming.
Thank you for your review . We loved having you. Highly recommended guests and would acommondate them any time
Spacious and romantic, best value in Keflavik!
Our family of five stayed for two nights at the Little White Castle, we could have stayed a week without leaving the premises! The owner is very much in-touch and knowledgeable and accomodating, we were invited to pick fresh lettuce from her amazing garden, and she helped us to settle our travel-weary bones by offering advice and making arrangements. Probably not the best place for young children or elderly folks, but the photos do not do it justice, especially if you are a family with teenage girls or young couples travelling together! Beware! If you book a stay you may not want to leave!
LWC was our favorite place to stay at in Iceland
Katy was such a great hostess, she let us arrive a whole day early and drove several hours to accommodate our early arrival. The place was clean and spacious. We loved the backyard and hot tub. The kitchen was perfect for cooking for our family. We had tons of room. The kids loved the gameboy, too. We loved the uniqueness of the place and the location was so close to Blue Lagoon, harbour, airport and other tourist spots. Great place. I highly recommend this place.
Reading your review was a wonderful way to wake up on a rainy monday morning. We are so happy that you and your family enjoyed your stay at the Little White Castle and it was a great pleasure to host you.
Thank you all!
Don't hesitate . . . Book this property!
Katrin and her husband have taken every detail to make the White Castle a beautiful and comfortable destination. The house, furniture garden and all the amenities far exceeded my expectations. Every aspect of the property is beautifully appointed and pristine. Also Catherine and her husband were outstanding hosts - and catered to our every need, including scheduling our day trips in advance and providing us with their preprogrammed GPS for our day excursions. In summary, everything was Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review.
We are so happy you enjoyed your stay.
It was an honor hosting you and your family.

Fairytale paradise :)
The little White Castle is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are all full of wonderful things, from the beautiful glassware in the lounge to the disco ball in the bathroom. The garden was the perfect, snowy play area for the kids (and adults!). Katrin showed us where the local shops and restaurants were and lent us her sat nav. She couldn't have done more to help and was a truly lovely host. I would highly recommend a visit to the little White Castle to make your trip to Iceland truly magical. I'm sure we will be back!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. Hopefully we will have the pleasure of hosting you and your wonderful family again, in the near future.
Katrin and Thorsteinn
very welcoming host in a good location
First it's hard to beat a location so close to the airport less than 10 minutes drive. Katrin was there to meet us and greet, and showed us around the house so we are familiar with everything. Something that she didn't have to do but did anyway, she took us to the grocery store so we can get our supplies and with recommandation on what we should try etc.. go for lamb and Skyr yogurt! It is true that food can be expensive in Iceland, so as gasoline... $20usd for a pound of bacon and $2 a liter for gas. this is a shock for any north american tourists!
the house is very well appointed, with a lot of personalize flair throughout. everything you need to cook. enjoy the hottub in the backyard while waiting to catch a glimpse of the northern lights! they also provide with a GPS with pre-programmed destinations to visit so if you are staying there, don't rent one from the car rental company! they also provide you with a prepaid basic cell phone to call in case of emergency.
we were 3 adults traveling and that was plenty of space for all. only minor details for us, but could be a bigger one for a bigger family, even if there's space for 6 or more people, there's only 1 bathroom with shower/ large bath tub, so if everyone needs a morning shower, you might need to work on a schedule!
Overall we would return to this location if we revisiting Iceland in the area, with a couple hours drive you have many of the top attraction to visit on your first trip. we had a busy schedule and will need to return to visit the other places we couldn't fit in the schedule!
tip for sightseeing: rent a car, don't do the bus tours. you can stop anywhere you want, small places out of reach on bus tours, leave early in the morning; we left at 7am, and we have seen Gullfoss and geyser by 11am, before the "rush" of bus tour, so we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves! Pack layers, you can see sun, cloud, fog, rain, snow in the same day..... typical!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review and as a host I highly recommend you and your friends as guests.
