Guestbook comments from the owner

Hi Alessandro,

we loved your apartment, and we wanted to thank you for the bottle of wine you left for us.We enjoyed it immensely watching the Colosseo light up at night. We found the neighbourhood to be a delight-close to Metro and bus,and good little restaurants and mercatos and prices lower than what we saw elsewhere.Again thank you for your hospitality. We found it unusual that there were not visitor comments on the VRBO web site.We will be sending a favourable review to them. Thanks again

Ciao,Geoff and Karen Bell

Central and Charming

  • 5 of 5

Alessandro couldn't have been nicer to deal with - a breeze from start to finish. Apartment has spectacular view of The Colosseum and is walking distance to some great restaurants, very convenient after an exhausting day spent touring the attractions.

Beautiful view and convenient location

  • 5 of 5

View of the coliseum from balcony, truly Rome. Close to metro train which makes it convenient to get anywhere. Restaurants, grocery, treats nearby.... Eat like the locals. Cozy complete apartment, 5th floor with elevator, kitchenette stocked with bread and jams. Nice water pressure shower. Alessandro gave advice and answered questions. This is an old building In old part of town. This is not the Mariott. It felt like a home. I would definitely stay there again.

Bella!

  • 5 of 5

My stay was this past September, and although my review is long overdue (sorry!), it is FILLED with fond memories! Alessandro was wonderfully reassuring to this gal traveling alone for the 1st time in 25 years! A convenient and safe location, sweet locals neighborhood with all you need to be comfortable. To overlook historic Rome was a dream come true each morning as I awoke. As a fellow vacation rental owner, I too know what it takes to make a great stay for guests -and this place makes it happen! I've told soooo many friends about the apartment, hope it's still available the next time I want to visit. Grazie!!

Great Apartment - Excellent location

  • 5 of 5

What a great little apartment in walking distance to all the major historical attractions. To be able to see the Colisseum from the balcony was wonderful especially at night. The apartment is perfectly furnished and includes a satellite TV feed that picks up English channels and the kitchen, though small, has everything you need. Alessandro was a great host who met us at the apartment when we arrived and ordered us a car to take us to the airport at the end of our stay. I would highly recommend this apartment and would go back there in a heartbeat.

Great location, wonderful host!

  • 4 of 5

The location is only a couple of blocks from both the Colosseum and the Metro station, with numerous restaurants within a 5 minute walking distance.

Alessandro met us at the place and explained everything to my wife and I as is customary. Shortly after he left however, our situation changed such that we could unfortunately no longer stay there. I emailed Alessandro the next day to relay what had happened fully understanding that the deposit was the only thing we were entitled to, but instead he gave us a FULL refund.

We are very thankful for Alessandro's generosity!!

Awesome apartment within steps of the Colosseum

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was so wonderful as was the owner Allessandro. The pictures explain the view but not the great local neighborhood with gelato, take-away restaurants, and full service restaurants. Allessandro met us at the apartment and showed us how to use the air conditioning, wifi (very strong) and satellite TV with a few American news stations. He also pointed us to the local grocery and a great little produce stand. He provided staples like coffee and tea, as well as a local cell phone loaded with a few minutes. Customer service like this is exceptional anywhere, much less Italy! We walked past the ruins of a gladiator school every day on the way to the Metro, Colosseum, the Roman Forum, Palentine Hill, and Circus Maximus. All were within a 15 minute walk. We used both the hop-on, hop-off bus and the metro for transportation, both stop at the Colosseum.

The kitchen is small but adequate for anything other than a gourmet meal. The street is noisy, but if you close the blinds to the terrace and the kitchen door, the noise is greatly reduced. Well worth a little street noise to get up and overlook the Colosseum while you make coffee and breakfast. The apartment was spotless and exactly as described and more. We have already recommended to travelers in Florence that were heading to Rome. Thanks Allesandro! We will be back!!
