We Love it in Sugar Pine. It is a hidden treasure and we hope you will love it too. Don't forget to ride the historic steam train through the forest. It is about a 5 minute drive. You can hear the whistle from the cabin :)

Great cabin. Spacious, quaint, and had everything we needed. Very quiet and peaceful. The Lewis Creek Trail is literally just down the road and it is fantastic. HINT: You do have to get off the main trail and take some of the more hidden paths down towards the creek to see the waterfalls. And we really, really enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings after a long day of hiking. One word of warning...there is No AC in the cabin. Generally it's not a problem as it cools off quite nicely in the evenings and you can close the windows to trap the cold air in there for the day. But during our stay, the upstairs bedroom got very hot. Every night we went to bed, it was around 80 degrees in the upstairs loft, and it wouldn't really cool off until 2 or 3 in the morning. Several locals said the temperatures were standard for this part of the summer, at least in recent years. I know it's a cabin, but I would recommend installing a small window AC unit upstairs. It would make a huge difference. Also, the binder could use a good deal of updating. Could really use some information on Yosemite (entrance fees, location of some of the best trail heads), Sugar Pine railroad schedule and ticket prices, Bass Lake boat rental companies, contact info, prices, etc., and local restaurants. Would be helpful for fist-timers. Overall, I would highly recommend this cabin. We had a fantastic and memorable stay, and we wouldn't hesitate to return (in cooler months).
Super Spot in Sugar Pine
Our family just got back from a 6 night stay at this lovely home. It really was the perfect spot to enjoy everything the area had to offer>>Yosemite for 3 full days, Pontooning on Bass Lake, the Moonlit Train Ride just down the road, and outstanding food in Oakhurst. We loved being so close to Yosemite's South Entrance. We have 2 grown kids and the 2 basement bedrooms for them were perfect! And the Master Bedroom and especially bathroom were just amazing with the skylights looking up to the sky/tops of the trees. The deck with grill and fire pit was wonderful to enjoy and my husband loved the hot tub! With 3 bedrooms and 3 baths this is really a great place for families and we highly recommend it!
The location is remote - but very much worth the drive to get here! The home is surrounded by beautiful trees, in a quiet neighborhood and is very comfortable, clean with many special amenities. We enjoyed sitting on the deck, relaxing in the hot tub and taking in the peacefulness of the area. It is also close to the south entrance of Yosemite - which we visited each day (long winding drive from south entrance to valley). It was nice to come back to Tony & Sara's place, away from the crowds, to rest and relax. The beds are clean and comfortable, the shower and bathrooms updated and clean, the kitchen well stocked. It was great to have a good, clean grill, dishwasher, coffee pot, and kitchen utensils and spices to cook with. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub after our hikes. We hope to return and highly recommend this place! Communication with Tony and Sara was prompt, detailed and much appreciated
We had an amazing stay. Tony was great, checked in on us as soon as we arrived and shared a lot of good info about things to do in the area. Everything in the house was in order and all the essentials were available to us. Was a great location for proximity to both Oakhurst and access to Yosemite valley and Glacier Point. We would absolutely stay here again.
