If the crazy world is weighing you down and it’s time to escape to pure tranquility unwind at VILLA SERENITY where our guests are surrounded by a garden filled with tropical flowers and a panoramic view of the Caribbean. Our Villa is designed to give you a quiet carefree oasis where the warm sun will melt away the troubles of your “real world”.
VILLA SERENITY is situated in the gated community called the Reef. Each Villa at the Reef is situated on our landscaped rolling hills to insure maximum privacy for our guests. Start your morning with a warm cup of coffee on the deck overlooking our panoramic view of the Caribbean. If you need a little exercise take quiet swim in our hill side pool or enjoy a round of golf at the Reef course. St. Croix also offers some of the finest reef, wreck and pier diving in the Caribbean and excellent snorkeling is only minutes from the front door of your Villa.
If all that golf, diving and snorkeling sounds like too much work don’t forget the hammock on our white sand beach and make sure you bring that book you’ve always wanted to read.
Whether your dozing all day in the hammock or playing golf and checking out the water sports you don’t have to go far to find a good meal. Within walking distance of our villa is Good Spirits which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week offering dining in an open air casual atmosphere. Also at the beach you will find fine dining at Duggan’s Reef, a St. Croix legend offering the finest in fresh seafood and steaks. VILLA SERENITY also offers a concierge service for a small fee which allows you to have your refrigerator filled with all the necessities so when you arrive you can fix a perfect meal in our full kitchen.
After all that sun, fun, and fine dining you will be ready for a long night’s rest. VILLA SERENITY’s king size beds offer the ultimate comfort of “Weston Heavenly” mattresses. At VILLA SERENITY we know that a good night’s sleep is critical to your vacation so we purchased these high quality mattresses.
The dictionary describes “SERENITY” as a feeling of being calm or peaceful. Our whole goal is to give you, our guest, a feeling calm, relaxed peace because we know this is your time away from the rigors of the rat race and you deserve a little piece of “SERENITY”.

My husband and I recently returned from a month’s stay at Villa Serenity in The Reefs. We had previously stayed in this unit several years ago when it belonged to former owners.
We were very pleased with the improvements made to the unit since our last stay — freshly painted throughout, new air conditioners in the living room and bedrooms, new washing machine, new refrigerator, new ceiling fan in the second bedroom, and a wonderful new barbecue grill.
The view from the unit is terrific and includes a great view of Buck Island. There is plenty of space to hang out and lounge in the unit.
The island of St. Croix and The Reefs have made great progress in recovering from the November hurricanes. We were greatly impressed with the hard work we saw each day being done by locals and mainland volunteers alike. TV and Internet service are working fine and the tennis courts and golf course at The Reefs are fully functional. The pool at The Reefs is a lovely spot and a great place to relax and take in the beautiful view. The people in STX are upbeat and welcoming in spite of the difficult times they recently experienced.
Donna Ford, the property manager, met us on our arrival and was very responsive to our every need. For example, the tankless hot water heater needed to be replaced during our stay and that was done in less than one day. Pretty impressive!!
Most beaches were functional although some still needed work when it was time for us to come home. Additional roadwork remains to be done but we have no doubt that will be addressed. We missed Duggan’s Restaurant (it’s the best!!) which was severly damaged and closed and hope that it will be up and running when we return to St. Croix next year.
Wonderful property, but ask about the details (post-hurricane)
We stayed at the Reef years ago, and were happy to be back to support their recovery from the hurricane. The Reef did not disappoint. Views are spectacular & the East End of the island is serene. True to description, the beds were comfortable & the kitchen stocked with all you would need. We were the first post-hurricane guests, & were flexible to the extent we could about amenities that might be missing on the island (but most were available in Christiansted, so DON'T let it stop you from booking). Be aware: as of January 2018, the wonderful Duggans Restaurant at the beach & the other smaller TLC sandwich/coffee place are out of commission. Tennis courts are not usable. The golf & frisbee golf course is well-maintained, but we were unable to use them because the Reef office "hasn't had clubs or frisbees since the hurricane." Donna, who manages the property for the owners, was graciously able to meet us on Christmas (we were surprised that even the island grocery stores were open on Christmas). To our surprise (and Donna's) the hurricane shutters were still closed shut, and unable to be opened until midday the next day. Surprising, since they knew for months we were coming. Air conditioner in the lower bedroom wasn't working, & Donna had it replaced immediately the next day, after one sweltering night for our daughter and one day of no view for us. Were also told we'd have internet, important since our daughter was taking an online college class. In fact, we almost cancelled until we were assured we'd have internet. No internet the entire time, nor any TV. Donna said she'd look into it, but we never heard from her about it again, nor did she bring the DVDs she promised. Sitting at a bar on day 6, we overhead another Reef owner and inquired about the internet. She said it was out for everyone but the Reef office had internet & we could sit down there. Would have been nice to know this earlier, and from Donna! We could have made arrangements for a Sprint or ATT phone to stream from. We also had to patch together a broken window in the master bedroom with mailing tape to keep the bugs & winds from coming in. Donna said she come look at it (we had asked for duct tape), but never did. My son slept on top of the foldout couch, because we had difficulty opening it (large plywood piece lays on top of the mattress) & finding sheets (no word from Donna). Better communication would have allowed us to plan contingencies. So book, enjoy, but know the details
A true treasure!
This was our third vacation on the island. Villa Serenity met all of our needs. The rooms were spacious, linens provided were all fine cotton, and the general decor tasteful. We used the kitchen for most meals and found everything we would need to cook with. We met some of the neighbors and even went to a pizza and beer party there the night before we left.
First of all, we had a wonderful 2 week stay at Villa Serenity for our Christmas and New Years get away. It was almost exactly as described and the photos are very accurate. It was larger than I expected and the fact that it was on three levels added a nice sense of privacy for both bedrooms. The Dish service for the television and WiFi included were very much appreciated and used. The villa was very clean and full of everything we needed for our stay.
Upon arrival, we had a little problem getting into the unit but with a phone call to Tom it was fixed immediately - we were actually trying to open the next door neighbors unit! (it was late and very dark) Tom was always very helpful with any questions that we had throughout our stay.
A car would be needed for renting this villa, you need it to get everywhere, and a GPS would almost be necessary as well. I would suggest to check out the cupboards and refrigerator before doing your grocery shopping because there is so much already provided and it saves from buying the same things.
The beaches in the area are mighty fine and the one at Duggans has chairs there for your use. None were particularly crowded. Don't forget to pack an umbrella, either for the sun or a quick shower that may come up.
Clothing on the island is very relaxed and you don't need much but swimsuits and sundresses!
As a side note, the Crusians are very happy friendly people and we enjoyed talking with them.
Luxury on the island!
This was our first trip to St. Croix and my husband and I took our 4 children (ages 12 - 23) for a thanksgiving vacation. The villa and location were better then we could have imagined. There are so many things to do within walking distance and the complex is an architectural wonder. From the beautiful villa that provided all the necessities for our family, full kitchen equipped with everything needed to cook (when we wanted to), room for family games, laundry in the villa and enough privacy for my husband and I to have time alone; too the location "The Reef" where we could spend time at the pool, beach, golf, hike or just go for a nice walk to the local café TLC at the bottom of the hill. The owners helped us find scuba diving, snorkeling and a photographer for family photos and a place to have Thanksgiving Dinner. The villa fit our family needs and we enjoyed the underwater photos taken by the owners. If you visit St. Croix, Villa Serenity is the place to stay! Best experience with a VRBO owner owned rental ever.
Great Place to relax and soak up the Carribbean!
My family and I just spent 2weeks here (including our 4 and 6 yr olds. The condo is great, well equiped for a family that likes to cook. We toured the island beaches and restaurants and ended each afternoon at the well kept community pool. Great vacation on a very welcoming and friendly island. LIked our stay so much we found a place and are in escrow!
Thank you and so very happy for you to join all of us on the Island! Many happy returns!
We are glad you enjoyed Villa Serenity, please share us with your friends.
