Nestled among vineyards and lavender fields, Villa Terre Neuve is located in the small hamlet of Les Riperts, just 3.5kilometers from the picturesque ochre village of Roussillon.
Built in 2011, the villa is decorated in a contemporary Provencal style. The main floor is open concept with a a comfortable living room, eating area and fully equipped kitchen. Three sets of French doors open onto the terrace and garden, with views of the mountains and ochre. There are three bedrooms on the second floor: a spacious master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom with a beautifully tiled shower and two vanities, a second bedroom with two twin beds and a third bedroom with a queen-sized bed. Also on the 2nd floor is a water closet and a second bathroom with a tiled walk-in shower and two vanities.
The villa is ideally situated for visiting the perched villages of the Luberon (Gordes, Roussillon, Lacoste, Bonnieux andRoussillon to name a few), cycling, wine-tasting or relaxing on the terrace by the pool. Not to be missed is the Saturday morning market in the nearby town of Apt.
The 9x5 meter pool at Villa Terre Neuve is a great place to spend an afternoon relaxing. Sun loungers and umbrella are located on the pool deck. The nearby shaded terrace is a great place for leisurely lunches and dinners. The property has recently been professionally landscaped.
The villa is located 40 minutes from Avignon TGV train station and an hour from Marseille airport.

Everything was very smooth from the moment we sent an enquiry. Michael, the owner, was extremely friendly and phoned us several times to give us information before we completed the booking. The contact in France, Jean-Marie, was also very helpful.
We had a lovely week in the villa, everything was perfect and very clean. It is so well equipped, there was nothing we lacked and I just wish it was ours! The situation is great for visiting all the Luberon villages within a short drive and this suited us as we've been to all of them before so just wanted to revisit, eat out etc. The garden is perfect, we particularly liked the lavender bushes round the pool and also around the table on the terrace, as we weren't bothered by insects. We usually find that swims and meals are plagued by wasps and flies but we had no issues despite the weather being very hot.
I have no hesitation in giving this rental 5 stars and we hope to return some time in the future. Thank you Michael!
I never write reviews but feel I must. This house is lovely. It is perfectly clean, tastefully furnished and well equipped. The pool is perfect for a swim or a dunk and the patio is a good size and the patio furniture is of very good quality- no plastic in sight! The house location is ,of course, perfect for touring the Vaucluse and the Luberon but also works for daytrips further south to the 'Bouche'. there were four of us who stayed her in summer 2015 and we are unanimous in endorsing your selection of this lovely home.
I never write reviews but feel I must. This really is a lovely home to spend a week or longer. The pictures do not do it justice. The layout is perfect for two couples or a family with children. The pool is lovely and the patio furniture of good quality - no plastic! The house is tastefully furnished , perfectly clean and well equipped. The location works especially well for touring the Vaucluse the Luberon but trips further afield are not to 'Bouche' area also fine.

Wow! We had a wonderful trip to France (Paris/Roussillon/Valbonne/Nice) and the highlight was the week we spent enjoying the Provencal countryside during our stay at Terre Neuve! Thank you for the warm welcome and suggestions for food markets. This home is very well appointed, clean, comfortable and quiet. Our 3 children slept very well in the cool nights, and the property suits 5-6 people quite well. The property landscaping was pretty with the lavender and outdoor poolside dining table. We were pleased to be the 3km away from Roussillon so we could enjoy being tourists some of the time and pretend we were locals some of the time! My husband rented a bike and biked up Mt. Ventoux, I did some running on the country roads towards Roussillon, and other days we enjoyed St. Saturnin-les-Apt, L'Ile sur-la-Sorgue, Bonnieux, Menerbes, Lumieres (great wine!). les Baux, etc. It was always fun to return for naps and swims and homemade dinner at Terre Neuve. The starry nights were so beautifully quiet and the lavender was in full bloom.
We also enjoyed the Lumieres wines. A few days after we arrived back in Canada we watched wistfully as the Tour de France cycled through St. Saturnin-les-Apt. We are already dreaming of a return visit to Provence in a few years and would be happy to return to Terre Neuve if it is available.
cottage is very well appointed and fully stocked w ith everything you will need. The caretaker, jean, was a delight and even though we got lost, he came and found us.
the area is lovely, you will need a car. loved the day trips to the little villages. just a travellers delight!
Our week at Villa Terre Neuve was a wonderful experience! We were able to explore 16 of the quaint historic villages in the area, go to numerous markets which happen on different days of the week in different villages and get a real feel for the south of France, it's culture, history and people. It is a photographers paradise. Though it was a bit too cool to enjoy a swim in the pool, we had cocktails and appetizers each evening by the pool just enjoying the beautiful garden, fresh air and quiet before dinner. What a great get-away!
