Looking for somewhere to take a romantic out-of-the-way vacation or mini- vacation? This is the perfect place. The cabin has a beautiful view of water on three sides and mountains in the background. Wake up to a view of the lake from your bedroom. Enjoy the fall foliage, dogwoods, sunsets and Arkansas River. Relax on the decks while watching the squirrels, ducks, birds, geese, deer, foxes, turkeys, pelicans and perhaps bald eagles. Enjoy the outdoor wood burning or gas firepit beside deck. A leisurely
stroll around the shoreline or through the woods gets you back to nature. A cozy fire in the wood burning fireplace is always inviting at the end of the day.
Bring your boat or jet ski for your water sports, fishing or duck hunting enjoyment on the 34,300 acres Lake Dardanelle. Park your boat in the private covered dock in front of the cabin. Convenient for Fishing Tournament participants. .
The National Forests are nearby with miles of trails, you might want to bring your ATV for trail rides and nature site-seeing.

We are retired and enjoy living at the lake. We are Arkansas Razorbacks fans and attend most events. We enjoy spending time on the water and in the woods. We are dog lovers. We have Brandy and Muzbee. We have always lived in Arkansas.
Joye Byrd purchased this cabin in 1983
This was our favorite fishing and water sports lake. Also, near the forests and ATV trail riding.
We moved to the lake when we retired and built a new house nearby and used the cabin for a guest house. We decided to list the cabin as a rental for the enjoyment of others. The decks have beautiful views and are very relaxing or build a fire in the fireplace and enjoy a glass of wine. We can also take a leisurely walk in the woods. This is a quite secluded area within an 1-1/2 hour of Little Rock, Ft. Smith, Hot Springs, Eureka Springs and many points of interest
We had a wonderful time, great hospitality, nice peaceful place and great cabin. I hope to come back someday.
I lived in this cabin for almost two years and this place is a dream! It is at the very end of the road so you have views of the lake on three sides of the cabin. You have two decks to enjoy and the best fishing. Joy and Charlie, the owners of the property, are right next door, so if you have a problem or need anything, they are there to help. Whether you like to fish and enjoy water sports or stay in and enjoy the huge fireplace or the fire pit, this cabin is perfect all year round!
Thank you for the fantastic long weekend! We had a wonderful relaxing time in the fishing cabin and appreciate all of the extra help you gave us. From the personal escort to the boat laoding ramp to the extra boat trip you all took to make sure our boat was running smoothly, you definately went above and beyond while allowing us to visit your wonderful cabin. We are looking forward to our next visit!
We spent 5 nights at the Byrd Nest and this is just what I needed. Secluded, quite, and lots of nature to enjoy. We saw deer, fox, lots of birds and the frogs singing every morning and every evening was wonderful. The host, Joy and Charlie, are the most amazing people. They went above and beyond renters to us. They took us on the pontoon, out do dinner with us and a joyful ride up a very curvy mountian road and the conversation with them was remarkable. Thank you for a great, relaxing week. If you are ever up around Chicago please give us a call. Would love to take you to dinner.

We were there over Valentine's day and had lots of snow!. Barb took extra care with the directions to make sure we could get there. The cabin is well stocked and very homey. Close to many things but for the most part we just relaxed, made fires and watched birds and enjoyed the very peaceful quiet. Cabin very clean, as described/pictured (although one bedroom has part spindle walls that are open, which is obvious from pictures after you are there but was not previous-not an issue for us but might be for 2 couples). Barb was very helpful and friendly. We definitely will be back.
We enjoyed our stay!!! I'm glad we found the Byrds Nest and hope to be back soon. Many thanks for such a great place to rest, recharge and read.
Thanks so much for your hospitality during our stay at the "Byrds Nest". This is a beautiful area and we truly enjoyed the tour you gave us. We are heading back home but hope to return when we have more time.
