About Eric P
Years ago, when our friends were choosing to travel overseas Mary and I really wanted to get to know what was in our own back yard, so we traveled and/or lived in many places all around North America. We have met many amazing people and experienced a lot of great places. We have recently broadened our travels with a handful of overseas trips, but without a doubt, Flagstaff has remained the place we call home. Flagstaff seems to have this amazing ability to attract people who are incredibly friendly, kind, open minded and energetic. It is truly an amazing place!
Eric P purchased this House in 2006
Why Eric P chose Flagstaff
Flagstaff is such a beautiful town with a great close community. There are endless year round events for families and couples to enjoy. You can't beat this location! Getting close to nature is so accessible. A short walk outside and you can take a trail that will lead you on a two hour loop through the local pine forest. Also, an easy car or bike ride downtown brings you to all the shops, restaurants, coffee shops and nightlife. You can celebrate the Pine Cone Drop on New Years Eve downtown and be back in your living room in less than 10 minutes!
What makes this House unique
When we bought the home, we fell in love with the quiet nature views from the three large living room windows! It would be difficult to find another vacation rental in Flagstaff that offers a feeling of being surrounded by nature (Ponderosa pines and oaks trees while seeing deer in the yard) and yet still being so close to downtown. That really makes this property unique.

Great house in wonderful location
We had a great time staying in this wonderful home. Great open floor layout for our family of 6. We especially enjoyed the deck with the gas fireplace and having the option to grill on the deck. The location was great, you can walk to downtown but also there is great food and groceries within a very short walking distance. We also enjoyed walking in Buffalo Park. The home is in a quiet neighborhood and has everything anyone would need!
Cozy and the perfect size
There are 6 in our family and this was the perfect size. Super close to the Snowbowl and various grocery stores and restaurants. We had everything we needed for some cozy evenings.
We loved it.
We stayed here for spring break. We are grandparents and wanted to take the kids to Snowbowl for snowboarding. House is directly on the way to the ski area, but without the noise of the street. For us everything was perfect. We loved the little details - like a bunch of games for kids and teens, the kitchen was fully equipped and every spice we needed for dinner was there. In the mornings we saw elk in the frontyard. We would love to come back next year. It is a cozy getaway, just right to calm down.
Perfect Flagstaff get away walking distance from historic downtown
We had a great time staying at 1431 N Rim Drive. The house has a great view from the family room/living room, and we enjoyed the wood burning stove. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking at home.
The interior was nicely decorated and the layout was very comfortable. Everything was very clean and orderly and functioned perfectly.
We saw deer in the yard almost every day, and one evening we saw the fox when we were coming back from town. The Historic District is a short walk from the property. We had a really nice time walking into town for dinner and exploring.
Eric and Mary were very responsive, but we didn't need to talk to them much because we had everything we needed. The instructions were very thorough and complete.
Definitely looking forward to a return visit!
Would love to come back!
This was my families first stay in Flagstaff. We spent one day downtown, one day exploring the Grand Canyon, one day skiing/snowboarding at Snowbowl, and one day hiking to “Devils Bridge” in Sedona.
We only wish we had more time here.
The House was incredible, warm, cozy, and well stocked with everything we needed to cook all of our meals.
The owmners are great and very responsive to anything we needed.
I look forward to staying here again someday!
It's become our home away from home.
We've stayed at this location multiple times and have always enjoyed ourselves. It's comfortable and well furnished. The large windows facing picturesque rocks and woods betrays the fact that you're in a residential neighborhood and close to everything you'd want in the Flagstaff area. Our Flagstaff grandchildren love visiting us there.
This beautiful home is situated on a heavily wooded lot just blocks north of downtown Flagstaff! Enjoy the culture, shops, restaurants and nightlife of downtown, and return to your quiet rental home in 5 minutes! This neighborhood is surrounded by forest trails that lead to Buffalo Park, Thorpe Park, the Flagstaff Urban Trail System and onward to the San Francisco Peaks. Biking, hiking and walking are very enjoyable in this area of town. There is even a small nature trail that leaves from the property to enjoy. Situated in the middle of it all, this property offers a home base for easy day trips to Grand Canyon Nat'l Park, Sedona, Wupatki Ruins, Sunset Crater, Meteor Crater, Lava Tubes, Hart Prairie, Mount Elden, Peaks Sky Ride, Museum of Northern Arizona and the surrounding Reservations. Lake Mary is an easy 14 miles away and offers picnicking, boating, fishing, wake-boarding, water-skiing and swimming. Year round ice skating and Frisbee golf is available at the Jay Lively Activity Center just 4 blocks away. There is also the Flagstaff Aquaplex just a 10 minute drive to an indoor pool with waterslide, fitness center, and rock-climbing wall. And don't miss Saturday night family movies in Heritage Square...a locals favorite! You really can do it all or just relax in this prime location!
