This quiant residence is located in the heart of Long Island's wine country along the beautiful Great Peconic Bay. The location can be used as a relaxing couples retreat, as it is a stone throw away from many of the North Forks best restaurants, wine bars, wineries, near by Golf Courses and family run farms. Or as a family vacation with beach rights (100 yards away), local sailing clubs, commercial fishing, a number child attractions in greenport town and much more. Wake up to the early morning breeze off of the Great Peconic Bay as you enjoy breakfast and coffee, or a clam bake/BBQ on its water front patio while enjoying a beautiful sunset. Central Air, cable and internet are available to visitors as well.
So disappointed. There is no hot water in the hallway shower, so all 6 of us had to use the shower in the master bedroom. The beds are doubles, not queens, and the "king" is really a trundle. And the mattresses are horrid. The dishwasher - the only cycle that did work was delicate, then we had to hand rinse and dry everything. The pictures of the deck are wrong - there are 12 foot high corn and grasses blocking any possible view of the water. And you had to walk down the road 200 feet to reach the mini-beach. It was cheap - and now I see why. Only blessing was how close it was to the wine tastings.
This was our first time using a service like this. We never received any notification from the owner on how to access entry to the home. We drove around for hours waiting for a call or email in response to the several attempts. Luckily, a friend of the owners arrived at the house next door and gave us the key. HomeAway also emailed and called with no response. I will be sure to ask all the details ahead of time before booking another property.
Very spacious living room and kitchen. Clean when we arrived. Beautiful back deck :)
Nice location close to local wineries and a quick drive to greenport to restaurants.
My elderly mother and I had a wonderful stay here. Easy access to many of the treasures around Peconic Bay, as well as a comfy place to call "home base" during our stay. Very clean; listing is extremely accurate. Highly recommended.
This place was lovely with beautiful views and a fantastic deck equipped with table for dining outdoors. We arrived for the Arthampton weekend and managed to sneek in a trip to a wonderful vineyard close to the house for a bit of winetasting. Location is wonderful and access to the highways and ferries perfect for getting away from it all yet close to markets and restaurants.
Our expectations were high given that we needed to work while at the house and having one of our team, herself, a homeaway property owner. While well equipped in the bedrooms, the kitchen was lacking a lot of the necessary basic pantry items which we had not anticipated and had us running back and forth to get these. We noted it with the caretaker, who was very responsive, and the wonderful owner, Gina, responded very kindly with reimbursement. Overall, we were so pleased with the stay and the receptiveness of the two to our needs that we will definitely come back.
