I enjoy traveling around the world, eating organic food, and always try to support local agriculture. I love skiing, hiking, biking, swimming, supporting the arts such as the Opera, Jazz, and antiquing in Hudson, New York
We took the time to furnish the house with a mix of antiques and contemporary style. When we travel we notice houses where the guests come first and are well stocked. We look to see if the owner thought of you and supplied you with all the comforts you are accustomed to. We believe a turnkey house is important for your comfort, and have taken great lengths to stock the house as such. Leave your towels, hair dryers, shampoos, and cooking gadgets in the city and enjoy your time at the house.
Hudson is just a 2 ½ hour drive from Boston, a two-hour train ride from Manhattan (NYC) via Amtrak, has a great selection of restaurants, a community that supports local farming, the environment, healthy lifestyle, arts, antiques, and has plenty of interesting people.
If you want to get away for a weekend, but want to still have access to art, culture, and great food, then we believe Hudson is a good choice for your family and friends.
Help yourself to anything from the organic garden. The gourmet chef's kitchen is ideal for cooking with a full stocked pantry, All-Clad pots and pans, and wi-fi throughout the house.
Rooms are eloquently decorated. Great place for a backyard barbecue!
Only glowing reviews for this home and the town of Hudson itself. The house fit me and 11 friends comfortably for a long weekend of cooking, grilling, board games, wine tasting, lively debate, beautiful city strolls, and restful sleep. The kitchen and full-floor living room were perfect for our large group, with enough spaces for a person or two to slip away with a book or private conversation. We even had a local yoga instructor come in one morning for a private class for 5-6 of us. Linens, towels, shower amenities etc. were what you'd expect in a fine hotel. The owner was incredibly helpful, gracious, and responsive both before and after our stay and the space cared for as if it were his home. Too many attention worthy shops and restaurants along Warren St. to name. I (and the other eleven) are already thinking about our return. Go!
Could not say enough wonderful things about this house and Hudson itself. A group of us spent NYE weekend here, and everything- from the house, to the town, to the restaurants- all surpassed our expectations. Greg was such a wonderful host; extremely responsive and accommodating which made the stay that much more enjoyable. I hope we get to come back to Hudson again and stay at this fantastic home. Thank you Greg, for such a memorable New Years Eve!!!
We just spend a lovely long weekend in Hudson. The house was roomy, comfortable and well decorated. We were a group of 4 adults and 5 children. It's a beautiful place and we enjoyed our downtime in the house. The town has a nice assortment of restaurants, cafes, and antique shops. The local area hiking is fantastic. The kitchen had everything we needed, including spices and 2 dishwashers to handle meals from a large group. Bedrooms were very cozy and we all found the long weekend very restful. Highly recommend.
We gathered for my husband's significant birthday for a week. The house is very well appointed and tastefully decorated with artworks everywhere. We felt "at home." We could contact the owner on short notice as he made sure that we had a good and comfortable time. He recommended a caterer for the birthday dinner who did a wonderful job allowing us to have a great celebration under the wistaria in the lovely and spacious garden.
One bit of disappointment is that the numerous antique dealers in Hudson are open only on weekends. Arriving on a Sunday late and leaving on the next Satuday does not afford "antiquing" activities! However, we had time to go to the farmers market across the street, before leaving on Saturday morning. Don't miss it!
Great property perfect for large groups. Outdoor space was awesome as well the kitchen. The rest of the communal is perfect for our needs
With such a large artist community, Hudson has wonderful art galleries, auction houses, restaurants, cafes, wine bars, and public transportation.
