Guestbook comments from the owner

Left on Sep 16, 2016 for a stay in Sep 2016

This is the best equipped and most comfortable vacation home we've ever rented. Although it is a century home, it has a modern kitchen and two updated bathrooms. From the photos, I thought the master bath just had an old-fashioned tub, but there's a walk-in rain shower with a bench. Michele has thought of everything to make her guests' stay as comfortable as possible, from spices and condiments in the kitchen, to soaps and lots of towels in the bathrooms, to umbrellas and fishing rods in the closets. The house is located just off the main street of St. Peter's and close to the coastal trail. The sun porch with its view of the Battery Park lighthouse and the ocean was our favourite spot to hang out when we weren't hiking, sailing or driving here and there. We had a wonderful time and hope to return one day.

Beautiful and well appointed. Amazing location to explore Cape Breton

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us Michele. Everything was simply amazing for our 'Home Base' while on vacation. This home is as advertised and much more. The view from the master bedroom is breath taking and we enjoyed every minute of it. We started every morning with coffee on the porch and planned our day trips around Cape Breton. As people who love to cook , everything was easily found in the kitchen. St Peters had everything we needed and within walking distance. Thanks again. Mike , Cindie, Liam, Noah, Bob and Louise. Lovely house in great location

  • 5 of 5

This was a lovely house in a great little village. Michele was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. The property was well positioned for visiting the rest of Cape Breton and we couldn't get enough of the view of the sea and lighthouse from most of the rooms and grounds. We were lucky enough to see an eagle from the garden! The village has everything you need and we thoroughly recommend the freshly cooked lobster from Jiggs.

Superlative home & property

  • 5 of 5

This house provides a perfect haven for experiencing this gem of a town, which bisects the BraDor Lakes & the Atlantic. The house itself is exquisite; it combines the unique charm of a century home with modern amenities. The house is tastefully decorated and manages to be both comfortable & elegant. Our party found this house to be a substantial component of our enjoyment of the town & area(which have a lot to offer)Michele was a gracious hostess who gave us fantastic travel tips. Don't miss out on a Bra Dor sail with local skipper, Gordon. Absolutely a highlight for us. A shout out to Ann Marie whose thoughtful advice was greatly beneficial to our side excursions. The house offers numerous panoramic Atlantic vstas that are east coast iconic. The views are incredible and postcard quality. The town blends charm, hospitality & modern convenience. We loved the wing night @ the town pub. We enjoyed using the well appointed immaculate, gourmet kitchen-we felt we were on the set of a cooking show-seriously! The coastal trail is gorgeous, & is located @ the end of the driveway. Battery Park has numerous short, but visually rewarding trails with stunning ocean views. My husband & son found the kayak rental @ BraDor Lakes Inn fairly or iced & well maintained watercraft. Isle Madame is a trip back in time to an Acadian fishing culture , & was a worthwhile side trip. The citizens of St Peter's are so warm & friendly. Don't miss this wonderful part of CB!
