Pithagorio Villa Rental Photos and Description

Self catering villa with loads of space and privacy.

This 2 storied villa built in the 1980'2 is located in a peaceful rural setting close to beaches yet still only minutes from Samos's two main towns, Samos (Vathi) and Pythagorio. It is srurrounded by fruit and olive trees. A modern kitchen downstairs make self catering a breeze. The upstairs area also has its own fridge and tea and coffee making area. All floors are marble and each level has a lounge/dining area and a bathroom, in addition to patios with outdoor furniture for dining and relaxing. The upstairs floor is accessed via a separate stairwell - offering additional privacy making it ideal for couples sharing a holiday house or for older children. The closest beach is an easy 20 minute walk and is usually quiet, frequented mostly by locals. About 4 minutes drive away is a beach area with some large hotels offering a range of watersports and some good tavernas. A wide sandy beach ideal for young children with a number of tavernas is about 7 minutes drive away.

Our Annual Retreat

  • 4 of 5

What a wonderful hidden secret this property is. Close to towns and beaches. The house has 2 separate living area's and the kitchen has recently been updated. It is located on quiet acreage and if you want to spend a lazy afternoon at home on the balcony dozing and drinking wine then this is perfect for you. This home epitomizes the Greek life style. We found the local town people to be very accommodating and they made us feel part of the community in such a short time. The owners went out of their way to assist us with any of our needs. This will definitely be part of our annual holiday even if it is just for a week to wind down. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

A Time to Relax

  • 5 of 5

My family of six spent a two week vacation in Samos and we found that the house provided for us was exactly what we where looking for.

Space, tranquility, and a great place to relax. The view of the mountains, surrounding olive grove and orchard trees gave us a true sense of the Greek environment. We also had wonderful sea views and could also see the boarders of Turkey. It was easy to get drawn into the romance of Greece by watching the sunset from the upper deck over drinks.

The home was clean, spacious, had all of the modern facilities and was located centrally with easy access to supermarkets, restaurants and beaches.

The owners were friendly and I would recommend this as a fantastic holiday destination for either a family or a couple that would like to experience a true Greek getaway.

A perfect place for a perfect time

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I were in desperate need of a holiday after not having one for the last couple of years and Mesokampos house was just what we needed : a cozy secluded villa that provided the peace and quiet and much needed space for our one year old daughter.

The house is comfortable, clean, well-maintained and easy for relaxing.

We would highly recommend this property. The owners can be contacted by telephone if further information is required. Warm welcome at the airport.

Week in Mesokampos, Samos

  • 5 of 5

Waking in the morning to the sun and a fresh dispensation of lemons from the trees in the garden was a memorable experience. Being able to cook a lemon meringue pie because the kitchen afforded all that we needed, whether for sophisticated or simple cuisine, made us feel entirely 'at home' and free from the need to depend on restaurants unless by choice.

Sitting in a breeze at the table on the upper deck of the house as the sun set and the day faded away, relaxed us totally. This is what we think of most often when we recall the holiday.

We were delighted to find that the house matched up to all the descriptions that were supplied in advance. We were not disappointed in any respect. We also found a way to the beach that avoided the roads and revelled in the clear clean warm water. We are both great swimmers.

The booklet supplied by the owner proved to be very accurate and very useful when we did venture further afield.

Thank you for a very special holiday experience in Samos.

Wonderful, secludes home close to everything

  • 5 of 5

This is a great house. It is located an a large property full of olive and citrus trees. The location is remote and quiet, yet it is only a few minutes from the towns and beach. The house is clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The owners are very friendly and exceedingly helpful, both prior to the trip and on arrival. The price is reasonable for what you get.

The villa is ideally situated in a 4000 sq metre plot located in a quiet rural area, minutes to the beach and with easy access to both Samos (the main town on the island - approx 10km away) and Pythagorio (a picturesque harbour village with lots of bars and restaurants - approx 5km away). Mycali beach - a 20 minute walk through olive groves and fields - is a beach off the tourist trail mostly used by locals. Further down Mycali Beach are a number of local restaurants and tavernas as well as a large hotel where you can hire catamarans etc. Psili Amos with its wide sandy beach ideal for young children and group of fabulous beachfront tavernas is a 5 minute drive. Mitilini, a wonderful village full of character and once the biggest on the island is a 10 minute drive. Saturday night traditional Greek dancing in the Mitilini village square is a 'must do'. The airport is also a 10 minute drive away.

Notes:
The villa was built in the 1980's, with some upgrading done in 2007. It is located in 4000 sq metres of olive grove in a beautiful rural setting. The nearest neighbours are barely visible through the trees. The garden around the house contains mature orange, lemon and Mandarine trees. The patio at the front of the first level is shaded by a lush grapevine throughout summer providing a cool and quiet spot to sit. Both floors have beautiful marble floors which are a dream to keep clean as well as being cool underfoot. All windows have insect screens, if required, and secure aluminium shutters which can be closed to keep out the sun if needed. In 2007, a new kitchen was installed, including new stove, cook top, fridge and washing machine (located in the downstairs bathroom). A garage was added and air-conditioning was also installed in both the upstairs and downstairs lounge/dining areas. The upstairs area has its own fridge (to keep the evening cocktails at exactly the right temp
