Comfortable apartment in a fantastic area

  • 5 of 5

I have just stayed three nights at Marc's apartment with my partner and two year old son, and we were very happy there. The apartment is knitted out with everything you need and is in a fabulous location - Rue Mouffetard, with a shop for every culinary need you might have! We thoroughly enjoyed shopping at the different cheese shops, boulangeries and market stalls everyday. There are a number of restaurants too, although we didn't have the chance to visit those.

It's very convenient for the bus and metro, although we mainly walked everywhere as the Metro isn't particularly stroller-friendly! It isn't too far to walk to the main attractions such as Notre Dame and the Louvre and it's very near the Jardin des Plantes and a number of playgrounds, which were good for entertaining our son.

Marc was very helpful and met us at the apartment upon arrival and was in contact via text throughout the rest of our stay too. He was also kind enough to let us stay til the afternoon on our final day as there were no others guests due. As we had a suitcase and toddler, we really appreciated it! We will definitely return one day, perhaps without the toddler, so that we can sample all the restaurants along Rue Mouffetard!

Excellent apartment in ideal location

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is in the latin quarter of the city and is ideally located for easy access to the metro and restaurants. In fact all our meals during the entire week were enjoyed in local restaurants which served excellent food at reasonable prices. Marc, the owner, was most accommodating and helpful. We most certainly would recommend this place of stay to anyone. It was exactly as described.

A cute little apartment in great location

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is in great location - on old rue Mouffetard with lots of shops, cafes, and other eateries. We enjoyed going to a bakery just down the street every morning. I forgot the name but it's the one with a line of people in front of the store.

There is a little kitchen in the apartment, but we never used it other than making coffee because we ended up eating out a lot.

Other than lots of cafes, there are many little creperies/panini places on rue Mouffetard, they were pretty good & convenient when we wanted something fast. Most places we ate on this street were good, except for a chinese noodle place up the street, which we weren't impressed.

I tried using my very basic survival French most of the time, which seemed to be fine but a lot of shop keepers/waiters spoke English on rue Mouffetard.

We stayed here 2 adults with 2 teenagers. It was not that small considering this is popular part of Paris! Having the courtyard is really nice too, it is more quiet and peaceful.

Marc is very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I would stay here again.

Thank you so much, Marc!

Great Location and Comfortable.

  • 5 of 5

Stayed with my wife. We are 63 yrs old, Canadians living in Austin, TX. Our daughter, 30 yrs old, stayed with us for 4 days of our stay before she went on to Barcelona.

Location off the Mouffetard Market street is perfect. It is a wonderful little enclave just south of Latin Quarter. Has a feeling of being a local neighborhood, even in the midst of Paris - about 25 minute walk from Notre Dame, and 3 minutes to Metro station.

The neighborhood has a lot of cafes, restaurants, shops, etc. Can't imagine staying in any other area in Paris after this one.

Apartment is very quiet and comfortable. On 1st floor. Good heat for cold season and big window that opens to look over courtyard for hot weather. Good locks and secure. Small - perfect for 2, OK for 3, 4 is a stretch.

Well maintained. Bed comfortable. Was not clean quite to our standards but after we washed all the dishes, scrubbed down the kitchen surfaces, it was fine for us.

Wireless Internet service was very good.

The owner, Marc, is very easy to deal with, he was always easily available during our stay. Met us upon arrival to show us around the apartment and neighborhood. He met us at departure, returned the damage deposit. This was a very smooth Home Away transaction and the owner is a very nice fellow. He and his wife even gave us a little Paris keepsake when we left.

I would definitely stay in the neighborhood again and in this apartment.

Great apartment in the perfect location in Paris

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is just as pictured and described and is perfectly situated for a great stay in Paris. Marc is wonderfully charming and accommodating. You could spend the entire time just on rue Mouffetard alone. Everything that you could ever need or want is a stones throw away. There are countless restaurants at affordable prices, a few pubs to catch a soccer/football game and shops galore. My favorite thing to do in the morning was to walk to the patisserie just to the left for incredible chocolate croissants and macaroons. We'd also stop in the afternoon for a delicious snack. The metro is just around the corner for easy access to the entire city. We spent our days site seeing and then returned to the apartment for great dinners, shopping and entertainment on rue Mouffetard. We had the most fabulous time and cannot wait to return. I would definitely rent from Marc again and highly recommend the apartment to anyone who wants to get away from the tourists, yet still be in the middle of Paris.

Perfect Locat?on

  • 5 of 5

What you see and read about this rental place is definitely more than you expected. Marc is truly a gentleman. We just communicated with him through emails, it was easy to make the reservation .And there was no hidden charges or last minute surprises, either. He provide a clean and well furnished apartment.

The apartment is located in very lively neighborhood which exactly what we were looking for. Rue Mouffetard has full of cafes, cheese stores, seafood sellers, wine shops, nice boutiques, chocolate stores and of course delicious bakeries . Each morning we woke up and got fresh baked bread, tried different kinds of French cheese and yummy deserts that started our days more pleasant.

The flat was small but cozy, comfortable and for us, homey. We arrived in a rainy day and rest of the week was cold. But, after a long day of staying outside, coming back to this comfy house was priceless.

I might say we would go back and stay at Marc's place again, but probably in a warmer season. Thanks Marc.
