About Rebecca

I'm Portland's biggest fan. I discovered it in 2002 and visit whenever possible. I bought this condo to own a piece of this incredible city, and I hope to one day live here full time. I get a lot of grandparents visiting their kids and grandkids, as well as people relocating to the city. It makes me so happy to provide a sanctuary for visitors.

Rebecca purchased this condo in 2008

Guestbook comments from the owner

My first choice to stay in Portland is Rebecca's place. It's a spacious one-bedroom condo with fabulous furnishings and complete kitchen if I want to eat in (restaurants are very nearby, too). Portland's airport has public transport from the airport directly to Rebecca's place, no hassle, and once I'm there I'm in one of the best locations in Portland. Couldn't be better.

Rebecca and her apartment are both fantastic!

She is very friendly and timely. Rebecca has stocked the apartment with everything needed and more. We were there for a long multi-month rental and found everything from kitchen spices and flower vases to extra pillows and light bulbs. We rented the apartment as part of our relocation to PDX and moved in with just our clothes because everything else was there (even tons of hangers!). The closets are huge and provided more than enough space to stash the suitcases and more. Loved all the extras like area rugs and artwork that made it so welcoming to come home too. We often worked from home and the internet signal is strong and reliable. Appreciated the modern kitchen as opposed to some of the "vintage" options that I saw. Being on the top floor and having a balcony provided great light and views of the tree tops and courtyard. The mattress is like new and ridiculously comfortable. Serious. The mattress includes a 3" topper and the combo is awesome.

The building, courtyard and landscaping are all well maintained. This includes a weekly cleaning service for the public space (she even washes the elevator!). Bonus that the large laundry room, bike storage, and trash/recycling rooms are all on the lobby level (no trek to a basement). This building is the perfect blend of historical ambience and modern amenities.

Favorite places in walking distance: Olympic Provisions for brunch, Beau Thai for delivery, Le Happy for late night, Boke Bowl for takeout steamers, Miso Sushi, Justa Pasta, and Paymaster Lounge to grab a beer and hot dog and play outdoor billiards or indoor pin ball! We watched the Timbers win the MLS Cup from Nob Hill Bar and Grill and filled up our frequent buyer card at Allota Gelato. Check out The Yoga Space, CrossFit and Barre3 for workouts. We shopped at New Seasons for groceries and prepared take home dishes. Forest Park is just up the street and we got our mountain biking fix there.

Rebecca offers paid access to a parking lot right next to the building. Or street parking is easy to find and free on nights and weekends. Since we were there for several months we purchased an annual street parking pass for $60 from the city. If you don't have a car, ZipCar is available right in the parking lot. And of course the Streetcar picks up right on Lovejoy St.

If you are considering a furnished rental then look no further....You will not do not do better than this!

Great apartment; fantastic area

  • 5 of 5

Large immaculate apartment in a fantastic area! Fully stocked kitchen and large bedroom with lots of storage. We were there during a heatwave, so the apartment was pretty hot, but there were a couple of fans to help. The building is a bit older (musty lobby) but the apartment was beautiful.

It is within walking distance of great restaurant, bar, shopping and even a Trader Joes nearby for groceries! Fantastic stay.

Beautiful place & fantastic location in Portland

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful apartment immediately became our home-away-from home. What did we love about it?

First, the decor: It's subdued and high quality with creative touches everywhere I looked. I took home some decorating ideas :) I also loved the soft light that came in through the romantic drapes over the French doors in the bedroom.

Second, the space: This is a TRUE one-bedroom, unlike the ubiquitous "loft" apartments in Portland, which are really just large studio apartments. My husband gets up early and pounds on his computer, listens to NPR, while I want to SLEEP .. which I could do and blissfully so in the bedroom while he, crazy guy, was up early.

Third, the location - maybe I should have put this first. Just a couple of blocks outside the famous Pearl District (and hence a better price than places in The Pearl), the apartment has its own wonderful neighborhood in addition to being a short stroll from both The Pearl and the wonderful 23rd St shopping-dining area. Almost directly across the street from the apartment I found an acupuncture place called JADE .. I had a massage or acupuncture treatment almost every day of our stay and really fell in love with the staff there. We also enjoyed the very "Portland" coffee shops in the immediate area. Turns out that The Pearl isn't the end-all and be-all ... try 18th and Lovejoy, it's a gem of an area as well.

Fourth, we loved how easy Rebecca made the arrival. She gave us detailed instructions on how to get to her place and obtain the key. Once inside, we found that Rebecca had left us details on how things in the apartment work as well as maps and recommendations galore.

My husband and I were in need of nothing during our most pleasant stay at #508 and will surely return. Portland is an outstanding city and this is the place from which I wish to enjoy all it has to offer.

Location doesn't get better than this in Portland! We're within a few short blocks to Portland's upscale Pearl District, and a few short blocks the other direction to Portland's classic Nob Hill. The streetcar stops right across the street, so you can zip around Portland with ease.

The immediate neighborhood is classic Portland - early 1900s buildings along tree-lined streets. Highly walkable, you can find lots of shopping, restaurants, and grocery within a few blocks.

Close to Legacy Good Samaritan and Emanuel Hospitals. WIthin easy reach of OHSU and Portland State University. Commute distance from companies like Nike, Adidas, Intel, Shriner's, Doembecher, and Wieden + Kennedy.

For an easy weekend getaway, we're 1.5 hours from the beach and from amazing skiing. Or, tour Oregon's wine country, located just outside Portland about an hour away.

We welcome corporate renters and vacationers alike. We've hosted lots of grandparents visiting their grandkids as well.
