This is truly a special property. The home was custom-built in 1956 hill-top among a small and private community with some of the best views of the city anywhere. In addition to tremendous views the home itself has an open floor plan with the entire back of the house having panoramic windows. The home is a nice blend of original character and tasteful upgrades.
The property is located ideally for a visit to Los Angeles. Within a 10-15 minute drive you can be in any part of the city including LAX airport, downtown LA, Santa Monica and the beach, Venice, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, etc. What makes the property an oasis is that although it is centrally located to all the city offers it has ultimate privacy. There are no rear neighbors as the property borders a 750+ acre preserve that includes miles of hiking trails. The landscape is one of the best features of the home with all sorts of large and exotic specimens from around the world.
The neighborhood is small, quiet and friendly. You can enjoy going for walks in the hill-top neighborhood or in the huge bordering park for miles of trails and views.
The swimming pool utilizes salt water (saline) sterilization so no harsh chemicals are used. The pool is heated through solar panels, or may be heated to your desired temperature using the gas heater (expense may apply). Additionally the spa/ jacuzzi utilizes a non-chlorine system for soft water. It has a built in stereo system and is perfectly located for taking in the city lights and stars at night. Enjoy the outdoor shower.
The house is fully equipped with all standard kitchen appliances. Vitamix blender, Wolf Gas Range, Dual Convection Ovens, etc. Nespresso coffee and espresso is provided for you. Bedding, linens, and towels are of high quality. Dishwashing machine. Front loading clothes washer and dryer. The house comes stocked with all the basics including body wash, shampoo, conditioner, etc.
Wifi is available throughout with the maximum speed possible. Apple TV, Netflix, HBO, and cable included.
Parking is available right in the drive way or in front of the house.
Maid service is not included, but can be provided at a nominal expense if you desire it. Or you can keep it clean yourself with the cleaning supplies provided.

I fell in love with and purchased this home 12 years ago from the original owners. I have spent the previous 12 years making tasteful upgrades while preserving the original character. We fell in love with Brian's home when we saw the photos and we were NOT disappointed when we arrived. The house is big and beautiful. The grounds are incredible. Wow. We hope to book again- possibly in the summer.
The house is beautiful, with a view that is unbelievable. Brian, the host, is a gracious owner, providing guidance and support during your stay. The house has an unparalleled view of downtown, and the snow capped mountains beyond. The pool, spa, gourmet kitchen, and comfort of the home is fabulous. Please consider this an unqualified endorsement of this property, Brian the owner, and the location (15 minutes to LAX, 20 minutes to downtown, 20 minutes to LACMA/museum district). Walked to the Hollywood sign, visited LACMA, Warner Brothers, had the complete LA experience.
Absolutely perfect stay. The home is spacious and is decorated with distinct taste. Very comfortable with everything that you need. We spent lots of time enjoying the outside where the views and sunset are breathtaking from every angle, we did not want to leave.
The home is beautifully maintained, the grounds are impeccable -- the view of LA and the mountains from the house is simply unbelievable. 7 adults stayed comfortably. The location was easily accessible to everything. We had a day of rain, and were perfectly happy to stay in the home and just enjoy the surroundings. The home far exceeded my expectations, I can't say enough about the place.

The house was really charming and had a great art deco feel to it. The pool was heated and beautiful. The owner of the house was amazing and very responsive to everything we needed. We loved it.
We used this house as a way to host everyone in my family for a holiday weekend. Seven adults were able to comfortably stay at the house.
We thoroughly enjoyed the house. Brian met me at the house when we checked in, and walked us through all the features of the house. Everything was clean, well maintained, and functional upon arrival.
We used this house as a base of operations to play tourist in Los Angeles, and we were still able to relax at the house itself! The house allows for easy access to much of Los Angeles, especially with the advent of Lyft and Uber. The Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area was within easy walking distance, and a great way to relax for all ages.
