Description

Maple City House Rental Photos and Description

3 bedrooms, 2 baths, sleeps 6-8, handicap accessible, air conditioned, fireplace

Just this morning on CBS, Peter Greenberg named Sleeping Bear Dunes beach one of the country's top ten beaches. There's still time to make your reservation! You'll want to visit what ABC voted 'the most beautiful place in America.' That's Leelanau County, where our three-bedroom, two-bath home is set on twenty wooded acres bordering Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. It is conveniently located between Glen Arbor and Leland - two charming towns. A short walk will take you to a beautiful white-sand beach and a short drive to restaurants, shops and kayaking. Traverse City is just a half hour drive where movie theaters, unique shops and restaurants and many amenities are found.

Hiking, biking and kayaking are popular activities and the national park trails offer wonderful views and beautiful, serene surroundings.

Build a night time fire on the beach and make s'mores. Take a guided ranger walk through the national park. Kayak the Crystal River. Play a round of golf on one of the area's many courses...or, just relax on a beautiful beach and swim in the clear Lake Michigan waters.

It's all here in Michigan. Come and enjoy!

Time with my wife and grandson was super!

As the name implies, this house is located on the edge of the woods. Rustic hiking trails (a bit rough, but fine for the hearty) on the property take you to three bridges crossing a brook and a decent sized creek. Evidence of wildlife is every where. The place is about a mile from a beautiful Lake Michigan beach. It was not a hard walk to the beach (which we did often), but we used our car when we wanted to take a beach umbrella, blanket and other supplies for a day at the beach. The beach reminded us of of 7-Mile Beach in Grand Cayman in that it extends for miles along Good Harbor Bay. Unlike 7-mile beach there are no condos, hotels, homes, just miles of wilderness beach walking. The house itself is fully equipped, not sparsely equipped, like some condo rentals you will find. It feels like a home, not a rental. The deck is large and so relaxing. The main floor bathroom is all ceramic tile and no barrier for the shower. A ramp at the front door makes access to the house easy, as well. In the national park, be sure to see the Dune Climb and the Pierce Stocking Scenic Trail. We highly recommend this place. Look up Leelanau County or Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore to find all the restaurants and other things to see and do.

You'll want to visit what ABC voted 'the most beautiful place in America.' That's Leelanau County, where our three-bedroom, two-bath home is set on twenty wooded acres bordering the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park.

Our house is conveniently located between Glen Arbor and Leland - two charming towns. A short walk will take you to a beautiful white-sand beach (when we show photos of the beach, our friends think it's the Caribbean!) and a short drive leads to restaurants for every price and palate, and quaint and funky shops and kayaking.

Traverse City is just a half hour drive where movie theaters, unique shops and restaurants and many amenities are found.
