We offer a charming apartment located in the 6th arrondissement. It is ideally placed for visiting Paris on foot or by bike:
The famous Bon Marché (Eiffel framework) is 5 minutes walk.
The palace of Luxembourg (Senate) and its magnificent park are 15 minutes away on foot.
You will also be close to the pleasant district of Saint-Germain-des-Près with its cafes.
A few more steps take you to the Seine crossing the footbridge 'the Pont des Arts' you will discover the Louvre or Notre-Dame de Paris.
Finally, 20 minutes bike all you need to closely admire the Eiffel Tower. (The less energetic can contemplate from the kitchen window!) - Vé'lib station 100 meters.
The Saint-Sulpice church, a listed building, is 800 meters.
And for those who prefer to go with the progress, many subway stations in the vicinity (Saint Placide: 300 meters, Lapwing: 400 meters, Sevre Babylone: 400 meters Rennes: 500 meters) and the network bus will make available to you all over Paris.
For shopping, you will find all the shops nearby (bakery, fruit and vegetables, butcher ...)
Our apartment is designed to accommodate two adults or a family (2 adults and 2 children). Bright, on the top floor of an old building full of charm, you will find everything you need to rest, to cook ... In case of rain or overflow visit, board games and books are available.
All the necessary shops are nearby (grocery, fruits and vegetables, bakery, bistro, hardware ...).
By train or plane: at your arrival station thanks to the RATP network.
By car :
And two private pay car parks allow you to park your car safely, and that less than 500 meters from the apartment (Parking Lot SEVRES-BABYLON, Car Park Montparnasse-Rennes). If you choose this option, we recommend that you book your tickets on the site parkingdeparis, you will benefit from preferential rates as well.
The park and ride outside of Paris allow you to park your car at a lower price, then you can come by subway.
I rarely take the time to write reviews, but my satisfaction with this apartment and the owner Valérie made me feel it was important to leave my positive comments.
My family and I recently travelled to Paris during the first week of July and we had a very wonderful time. On our arrival, we found the apartment was well situated in the heart of the city and nearby to several metro line stations.
The apartment size was typical by European standards and we were impressed that it had all the amenities we might have required. The bathroom and other rooms were very clean, the shower and appliances worked well for example, and the beds were quite comfortable. There was a grocery store just a few blocks away and numerous restaurants all around.
Before our arrival and during our stay, Valérie was very accommodating with any questions or concerns, and her correspondence was very prompt. I would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend the apartment to friends considering a visit to Paris.
We stayed 22 nights in Valerie's apartment during June/July. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children (14/11). The apartment is well presented and tastefully decorated. Whilst a smaller apartment, it was perfect for our needs. The were two single beds in a separate bedroom (separated by a curtain) which together make a double bed and a sofabed for the children in the living area. The apartment is well equipped with storage for clothes, a dining table (4 chairs), a small TV (which was great to keep the kids entertained - we had programs on a USB stick), games and Paris guide books. The kitchen was well equipped with a stove, small oven, a fridge and all necessary plates and cooking utensils. The kitchen was adequate for us to cook almost all our meals. The best feature of the kitchen is an excellent view of the Eiffel tower through the skylight. The washing machine / dryer is located in the kitchen. There was also a separate bathroom that was of a good size.. The apartment is on the 5th floor in the roof space of the building and there is no lift (as advertised). We did not have a problem with this but you might think about this issue if you are not used to stairs.
The apartment is well located in a very nice area. There are plenty of supermarkets including a Monoprix, Carrefour, Franprix, Piccard and the upmarket Bon Marche within 500m of the apartment. Also about 8 partisseries in the same area. There are plenty of smaller shops and cafes as well. There is the nearby shopping strip along Rennes and the Montparnasse shopping centre. Nearby are 4 metro stations (Vaneau, Saint Placide, Sevres Babylone and Rennes ). The Luxemborg Garden is a short walk and great for an after dinner walk in summer. The Rodin Gallery and garden is nearby (but closed for renovation during our visit). There are also some nice smaller parks a short walk away. It is an easy walk to the Seine (near the Louvre). Also a fairly easy walk to Champ de Mars and the Eiffel tower. We tended to walk to most places (even on the other side of the river) and if we found ourselves a long distance from the apartment would catch the metro home. Walking is the best way to see Paris and 10-15 km walking a day was normal for us. However the metro is convenient and efficient if you are not a walker.
Valerie's was very helpful and patient with our questions whilst we were organizing our visit. She always answered promptly.
Thanks for a great stay.
We had most wonderful stay in Paris, thank you Valerie!!! The appartment was impeccable and had everything we could imagine to make us feel at home. There was even a book about the history of the area and wine glasses. Valerie and Nosicaa answered all our questions very promptly and we were met at the appartment early in the morning! The bed was very comfortable and the area very quiet so we were able to rest after long walks during the day. Thank you again!
