The upstairs/downstairs floor plan makes it perfect for families and couples to gather. Upon entering the house on the first level there is a master bedroom with sliding glass doors leading out to a small patio in a fenced in backyard. There is laundry room, as well as, an additional bonus living area with two twin beds and a flat screen TV. This downstairs suite along with the upstairs with 2 bedrooms, a bath, and great room with T.V, fully equipped kitchen, and eating area is perfect for 2 families traveling together with kids, allowing each family to have their own space, or a 3 generational family with grandparents, 3 couples traveling together or 5-7 singles.
There are beach chairs, towels and every thing you need to go to the beach. Lover's Point is one of the few wind protected beaches in the area and is a great swimming beach for children as there are no big waves. Town is jus 1-1/2 blocks away to heart of Pacific Grove
Pacific Grove offers endless activities within walking distance - walk to the beach, walk to the many restaurants and coffee houses, or do some shopping downtown.

Our stay at the Lover's Point property was a pleasant experience from the moment we booked. The contacts we had with booking and management we found universally polite, responsive and thorough. We arrived with our four children and were delighted to find the home welcoming, beautifully maintained and equipped. Rooms were expansive and the six of us managed to settle comfortably in the space immediately. It was a welcome retreat at the end of our fun-filled days. The home is located just steps from the bike trail, beach and shoreline. Sanctuary Vacation Rentals runs a professional and personal business that we would not hesitate to book with in the future.
We experienced one challenge after another throughout the entire process. In order to book, I had to resubmit the request several times because the owners did not respond within the 24 hour time period set by VRBO so the request kept "timing out". After we booked the property all we received was a request for payment, but no check-in information or any other communication. I reached out the day before and was told I would be met at the 4pm check-in time (they did not ask what time we were available, but told us what time we needed to be there) to give us access to the rental, but not before signing the rental agreement. What rental agreement? Not only were we not informed they had a very lengthy separate legal agreement for us to sign (CA Assoc. of relators formal rental contract), but they never sent it over in advance and then we find out the day before that they require this? We had no options at this point so had no choice but to sign the paperwork. Unfortunately because of their lack of timely response, by the time I finally got the paperwork and a response on whether or not they could bring it with them instead of me having to print it out and bring it, I was hours late getting on the road, which delayed everyone else also, so though they were willing to work with us on check-in time, by the time we got there it was 4pm anyway. Other issues such as the fact that the ad says off-street parking on the driveway for two vehicles (so we parked in the driveway), but both cars were ticketed for being over the sidewalk just added to the negative experience. The owners saw where our cars were parked when they checked us in, but do you think they advised us that their driveway was not actually ok to park in because it is not deep enough to accommodate even a compact car legally? No, they simply left and when we reached out about the tickets, we got no response whatsoever. Add another $96 to our weekend.
Our group of 5 adults was so pleased with the rental, we didn't want to leave after only 4 nights. You can walk to everything you'll need - restaurants, market, beach, coffee shops, etc. I enjoyed a morning run along the beach path thats just at the end of the block. The garage was great as well, since we didn't have to worry about on-street parking. The wedding we all attended was in the heart of Monterey, and was a 7 minute Uber ride from the house. Lovely place. Communication with Mia and Larry was great - very responsive to all of my questions leading up to our arrival.
Spacious, clean, comfortable, great location! Lovely scenic walk along the coast on a protected path to the Aquarium and Cannery Row. Also located near the start of the 17-mile drive.
Great for families--we hosted our small annual family reunion there. 8 slept at the house comfortably, and the rest of the family stayed at the inn about 5 min walk away. Can't wait to visit again! Thanks so much :)
Great house for 3 small families. Our grandchildren loved the space. Wonderful location, 1/2 block from beach (Lover's Point) and 3 blocks from restaurants and shops. Great bike path to Monterey Aquarium and an easy walk to Aquarium, Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf. Also, a great bike and walking path south toward Carmel. Very close to the start of the gorgeous 17 mile private drive to Carmel ($10 round trip. Save your receipt or brochure to show at the gate for the return). We are going back to this home in 2017!
Home is very nice, and well furnished. We enjoyed our stay! Very Very short walk to lovers point and the ocean running path. We will definitely stay here again. Only one downfall was the one way street right in front of the house is narrow and one of our guests mirror got hit, but takes nothing away from the house!
