About Mike & Jude

Mike & Jude moved to the Chamonix Valley in 2007, leaving the financial world of banking behind them. It was the pull of the mountains and skiing that was too hard to ignore. The Chalet was completely renovated in 2008, to a stylish and homely decor. In the Winter the catered chalet service is also offered alongside self catered, with home from home comforts with Jude's amazing cooking - having won them the Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence award and 5 star rating! The Summer is more relaxed and is offered as self catering or for those seeking activities such as cycling, climbing, walkers etc.

Mike & Jude live and work in the valley all year round so are on-hand for any enquiries you may have.

Why Mike & Jude chose Chamonix - Mont Blanc

Lovingly renovated, well looked after on a no-through road. Amazing views of the whole Chamonix Valley stretching 23KM. Mont Blanc is right outside the front door! Sunken hot-tub on large south facing terrace, a great sun-trap for those more relaxing days.

This is the best chalet we have stayed in, and that view was shared by all 9 in the group. From the very moment we arrived it was clear that Jude, Iona, & Mike put in significant effort to ensure a cracking experience for their guests. The chalet is very well appointed, spotless, excellent facilities, and in a great location. Normally you'll always find something to moan about, but it is true to say we found not one thing. Its saying something when 9 guys between 35-41 preferred the chalet to going out- it is that good a place to stay. The food & service from Jude & Iona was absolutely outstanding, and the entire group agreed- wine choices excellent/great coffee made fresh/brilliant choices at breakfast- nothing was too much trouble and we all rated the dinners & breakfasts very, very highly indeed. The rooms themselves are spacious, modern, spotless and furnished with cracking materials & towels etc. Normally you find the opposite- but Jude is really putting in the effort with this place that's for sure. The location is absolutely bang on for visiting all areas too- we had cars which helps but the bus stops at the bottom of their road about 300 yds away if you don't. Mike arranged guides for us for an off-piste day in Vallee Blanche, and again the experience was absolutely first rate- the organiser visited prior to the day to check us out and answer any questions, which really set us up for one of the most epic days we have had. They live here in the area and know it really, really well, so do not underestimate how much that can help you have a great time with all the tips they can give & the contacts they clearly have. The organisation and service in this chalet are THE BEST we have experienced and our group has been travelling to 3 valleys/Porte du Soleil/Chamonix since 2002. I cannot recommend this chalet enough and fully intend to return. Well done indeed and I look forward to seeing you all again. VERY WELL DESERVED EXCELLENT TRIP ADVISOR RATING

Chalet Annabelle

A beautiful chalet in a very scenic part of France. The chalet had everything we needed and more for a party of 11 people including adults and teenagers. It was very well equipped and clean. The views are amazing!

Jude, who greeted us, was extremely friendly and helpful and was always available during the week for advice.

The area has much to offer but the best things for us were the cable car to the Aiguille du Midi, the little red train, the open air pool at Chamonix is a must, lac du Passy (11 miles west), Chamonix itself is beautiful and a short bus ride away. We only had a week and there was much more to explore. There was a little farmer's market on Wednesday afternoon/evening a little way down the hill from the chalet which was charming. There is a Super U supermarket very nearby at the bottom of the hill.

This is one of the best regions we have been to in France and certainly one of the best, if not the best accommodation we have stayed in. I would highly recommend it.

A beautiful and stylish chalet with amazing views

We had a wonderful stay at Chalet Annabelle! We arrived in the rain but the kids got stuck into the WI and the next day the sun came out and stayed for the next seven days! Fabulous! Waking up the next day to the most beautiful Mont Blanc views was just lovely and from then on our holiday was made.

The bedrooms are immaculately presented and Jude made us feel more than welcome with a fully stocked kitchen and bbq to use... But the best ting was the hot tub that we loved- the views of the mountains was beautiful.

I would thoroughly recommend chalet Annabelle- thank you Jude!!

All the rates quoted are for the whole Chalet on a self catered basis. A catered service is offered, please enquire for pricing & terms.

Arrival/Departure days are generally Saturday although we do offer flexibility for short stays - please enquire.

On arrival we ask for a security deposit via bank card or credit card €1000, which is fully refundable within 48 hours of departure subject to the Chalet being left in good order.

For Self Catered guests a security deposit is necessary on arrival, via credit card. The amount will be advised at time of booking.

For all self catered guests we take a €750 security deposit (by way of credit card) upon arrival which is fully refundable within 48 hours of departure subject to the Chalet being left in good order.

The owners use the garage for storage and part of the lower ground floor as office space. They have a separate private driveway and entrance, office hours are displayed on the premises.

The Chalet has been renovated to a high standard. Updated kitchen facilities with feature SMEG range oven and completely renovated guest accommodation. Lounge features open aspects of the valley, access to the balcony, feature sandblasted beams and log fire. We can offer a variety of catering options, transfers from Geneva.
