Scott and Traci Heaton
About Scott and Traci Heaton
In 1991 Scott and Traci met while working as river guides in the Grand Canyon. At the time, Scott’s parents owned The Jackson House and operated it as a Bed & Breakfast. Scott and Traci had their wedding reception in the front room! Little did they know that 15 years later they would purchase The Jackson House. For over five years they completely renovated and remodeled. It has been a labor of love. The Heaton family now lives in Juneau. They have learned to troll for salmon, fish for halibut, kayak in the open sea, and hike mountain peaks with snow shoes. They love exploring Southeast Alaska hope to one day return to the beauty and serenity of the North Rim.
Scott and Traci Heaton purchased this House in 2004

What makes this House unique
The Jackson House just feels like going back in time, but with all the modern conveniences. The house is large enough for big groups but cozy enough for a romantic getaway for two. The house is furnished in antiques and the yard is simply amazing!

Very nice and clean house. Lots of space and centrally located for all of our travel needs.
Peaceful, Quiet Well Appointed
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and this beautiful home. Made for a great location to access the Grand Canyon. Wonderful porch for sitting and reflecting, well laid out rooms and stocked kitchen. Our stay was very comfortable and we wanted to stay longer. The owners were very easy to communicate with and we felt welcomed.
The backyard area with BBQ, dining space and water feature is such a bonus with this home. Never made it to the entertainment area in the basement with so much other great spaces to enjoy however it looked like a great set up.
I can't say enough about this property and how enjoyable it is. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
The Jackson house was the perfect home base for exploring all of the national parks nearby. The house seemed to be filled with love that makes you feel like you are home. We stayed cool even when it was a hundred degrees outside thanks to the swamp cooler and many ceiling fans. The backyard is a beautiful oasis with a fountain and a barbecue and plenty of seating. The house has been renovated and has a ton of character as old houses should. Even though the house is right along the main road, the noise of the traffic (only 35 mph and heavily enforced through town) was hardly noticable at all. We had a wonderful stay and hope to visit again soon and will be recommending the Jackson house to all of our friends!
The Jackson House is beautiful and charming place to stay. We loved the location and how easy it was to get to where we wanted to. Really enjoyed sitting outside in the patio area.
The property is clean and location is central.
