Please Note: This property was affected by the fall 2013 flooding in Boulder. Though the house itself is fully restored and in perfect working condition with various upgrades, the downstairs and surrounding property will not look exactly as pictured. The interior layout, furniture, materials and flooring are the same or better than what is currently pictured. The exterior is more of a work in progress with vegetation and greenery in the process of being restored - though functional and enjoyable all the same! Feel free to contact us for more details.
Our house is the perfect home away from home for those who want the best of both worlds - a quiet and comfortable getaway close to the mountains, yet only a few minutes away from downtown Boulder fun.
This round house built in the '70s has been recently fully remodeled and modernized and now includes brand new appliances and amenities.
*In the Round House (minus the addition) we have 3 bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen, and one full size).
*The Master bedroom features a shoji or japanese rice paper sliding door between the bedroom and closet, and a shared bathroom (w/ steam shower). It also has its own private garden and patio, perfect for a quiet morning coffee.
*The additional rooms include closets and individual entrances
*Our New Event space features a large bedroom with sliding glass doors that overlook our native gardens, 1 & 3/4 bathroom, & a large room (19'x15') that can be used for additional sleeping space (one sleeper sofa), yoga, meditation, dinner party, business meetings, and more.
The upstairs floor plan is bright and open. It has an island/breakfast bar that separates the kitchen from the living area (which features a gorgeous antique wood burning stove).
*Under certain circumstances we are willing to rent the Round House by itself for a lower charge. In this instance we can accommodate up to 8 guests maximum ($400 weekday, $450 weekend rate).
I am an avid glider pilot, skiier, mountain hiker, traveler, and culinary connoisseur. I speak many languages and enjoy learning about other cultures and places. Allow me to invite you to my beautiful Colorado home!

Our house is the perfect home away from home for those who want the best of both worlds - a quiet and comfortable getaway close to the mountains, yet only a few minutes away from downtown Boulder fun. It's a great place for a family vacation, a good group of friends, or a small reunion.

In the spring, you can enjoy the irises and daffodils that grow by the creek, the summer brings on the best for grilling and relaxing on the grapevine shaded balcony, the fall brings about currants and other edible berries along with turning leaves, and the winter snows create a quite, warm and cozy retreat.
Absolutely LOVED this home!! So cozy with the wood burning stoves, very convenient location close to Boulder, and plenty of space inside and out. The setup of the house was great for entertaining guests. Sarah and David were very helpful and accommodating. They made me feel like a welcomed guest in their home but were not overly intrusive and allowed me to maintain my privacy. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to guests from out of town looking for a nice mountain house to visit.
The home is beautiful, unique and very well maintained. The property is gorgeous, with hiking trails nearby. The owners were wonderful to work with, and anticipated our every need. I would highly recommend this property.
David was the best host from the minute we arrived till we left, beautiful home the wood breakfast counter was a exceptional addition to an already fabulous home! The shower was magnificent with a bonus steam feature. Very comfortable beds sheets very nice , towels exceptional. The outside of the home so calming with the stream babbling nearby. The outdoor furniture perfect to chill at. We were lucky enough to hear the local owl. The home is perfect distance from Boulder or Longmont. Thank you again
We had a great time at the round house for a family get together. We loved being close to Boulder and close to the mountains. The space is great for entertaining family and friends. Do be aware that cell service is spotty in this location and the WiFi is so-so.
David and Avalon were extremely responsive when we had questions or issues. Thanks for a great week with family!
Stayed here with a group of friends for a bachelor party weekend in August. We all enjoyed this interesting and secluded house right on the creek. Everything as advertised and the host very helpful and accommodating. Best to have a car here as uber's can be scarce depending on time of day. Only 15 mins to downtown, other needs can be found even closer. Would stay again
I can't say enough good things about this house, the location, and the peace that can be had by staying here. Just the right distance away from Boulder to feel the tranquility of the foothills and close enough you can be in the heart of pearl street within a few minutes. We stayed here as a group for Ironman Boulder 2016 and it slept all 8 of us comfortably. The kitchen is perfect for big family meals and entertaining. We walked out and sat in the creek pre and post race to heal our aching bodies, which was a double extra bonus. We'll for sure stay again on our next trip to Boulder!
We're located 6 miles north of Boulder, in the foothills at Left Hand Canyon. There are many great areas to hike, and small old towns to visit just up Lefthand Canyon Road. One of my personal favorites is hiking from Brainard Lake up to Blue Lake in Roosevelt National Forest.
Another Boulder favorite is the Farmer's market (Sat. 8am-2pm; Wed. 4pm-8pm). Enjoy some delicious food, locally roasted coffee, and great produce.
