Summer Vacation

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had an amazing time at this home. The house was more than we expected! We are a family of 6, 4 being teenagers, and we were never in each others way. The inside of the house was immaculate and all the beds were very comfortable. The puzzles and games provided made for fun nights, as a family. The house had everything we needed, including dish soap, paper plates, etc. The view from the living room and kitchen are amazing, and the deck is an extension of the home, we spent a lot of time outside, and enjoyed the wonderful view and great neighbors. The kids loved kayaking in the morning and then being at the beach all day to then be able to swimming and go kayaking in lake in the evening, having the boats and swim rafts was an added bonus! The outside grounds were also very amazing, the sunsets are beautiful. This is an extremely well maintained property and you can feel the owners pride. We can not wait to come back here, it is truly the best of both worlds... being on a beautiful lake and being so close to some of the most beautiful beaches around! We all feel this was one of the best vacations we've had! Thank you!

Rhode Islands best kept secret is the beautiful house we rented on Indian Lake . The house had everything you could ask for and much more . This vacation was the most relaxing and one of this family's best vacations . Thank you to Jo the owner for sharing your beautiful lake house and making are vacation so special and for all the great memories we shared as a family on the Lake . I already miss kayaking and fishing off the new dock and talking to all your great neighbors on the lake . Thanks again JO for everything. The Cullaghs

Perfect week on Indian Lake

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I just spent a wonderful week on Indian Lake in RI. The cottage we rented was everything and more than we expected. We have rented quite a few properties over the past several years and this one by far was our favorite. A well stocked, spotless kitchen is high on my priority list and this one exceeded that expectation. Jo was so easy to work with to rent her property and very responsive to any question I had. Morning coffee down by the lake followed by kayaking around the lake started each day. Everything you want to do (ie: bike trail, beach, oyster bar, ice cream) is all less than 20 minutes away. Or, just spend the day swinging away in the hammock reading a book. It's all here. Looking forward to returning next year for a longer vacation!

peaceful cozy home on a beautiful lake

  • 5 of 5

The owner was very helpful and friendly. We unfortunately had a lot of cool, wet weather during our stay so we spent more time inside than anticipated, but the cottage is very comfortable, with great views of the lake. The location is peaceful--no traffic noise, and only quiet boats (10hp limit) are allowed on the lake. It was fantastic to have the kayaks right there so we could get out on the water when the weather allowed. I would definitely recommend this rental and hope to return another time. The listing says a car is necessary, and it's true that nothing is within walking distance of the cottage, but we arrived by bicycle from the West Kingston Amtrak station, an easy 8-mile ride along the rail trail and mostly quiet roads. It's also a 20-minute bike ride to Narragansett Beach or into town to get food.

Great Family Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

This was a wonderful family vacation for us! The location on the water is amazing and was enjoyed by all of us whether fishing, swimming or just taking in the views. The house was very clean and comfortable - the pictures (both inside and outside shots) do not do this vacation home justice! Beaches are minutes away, shopping just around the corner - plenty to do for everyone! We are already planning our visit for next Summer! Thanks again, Jo!
