Absolutly Perfect for our needs

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I were looking for a great spot to spend a "Guys only" weekend. I reached out to Meg and she was very helpful and easy going through the whole process. The house was perfect, plenty of space for 12 men to relax and enjoy the amazing views. We enjoyed sitting on the deck over the water with a fire roaring and cold drinks in our hands. We are already looking forward to next years get away at this same house. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a rental like this one.

An absolute gem for family and friends!

  • 5 of 5

Myself and a group of old friends looked stayed at Meg and George's home for our annual weekend away and we were completely in love the place! The home is great - it is very large, comfortable, unique with excellent areas to hang out from the large open dining and living area, a big porch with a beautiful view, as well as the lakeside area and an additional space downstairs. The views of the lake are breathtaking and the house is sited to still give a sense of privacy even with other houses around.

This is a great place for families or groups of friends. There is a lot to do in the area but I doubt you will want to spend much time away from this house! Meg and George are also easy to work with. I highly recommend this home and look forward to staying again myself.

Our second year renting was even better!

  • 5 of 5

This is the second year in a row we've rented this beautiful New Hampshire lakehouse, and we couldn't be happier!

The location is perfect, right on the water with multiple decks, a large dock for boats or swimming, and plenty of room for all 14 of our extended family. The grandparents take the cottage (and have their own kitchen, full bath, bedroom with A/C, sitting room, and deck). One family with two kids takes the bunk room on the 3rd floor, and the other family with five teens/young adults take the other bedrooms on the first and 3rd floors.

The second/main floor is a wonderful, open, inviting space with a large well-appointed kitchen, several sitting areas with comfortable couches and chairs, and an excellent pool table. The deck off the main level is enormous, with relaxing patio furniture, tables with umbrellas, and a nice screened in porch with wicker chairs. So much room in this house/cottage, so many options for people to hang out together and play games or to find a quiet place to read!

The view looking east across Winnisquam is peaceful, the water is clean and refreshing, and the location is convenient (~15 minutes from I-93) but quiet and secluded once you get to the house. Plenty of parking, too.

Meg and George are always great to deal with, and seem to make improvements every year to make it even better - this year it was new carpets on the main level and a wood enclosure around the spiral staircase that goes between the three levels of the house. They even replaced the previous gas grill with a large new high-end one that we used several times. A refrigerator with filter water and ice-maker as well as a washer dryer downstairs adds to the convenience.

Definitely would recommend this location to anyone that has a larger family, and we're definitely planning to go back there next year ourselves!

Nice property. Good people.

  • 5 of 5

Nothing bad to say about the place. Just had new carpets put in before we got there, which was really nice. Huge, open concept first floor easily manages large groups. Both owners were very communicative and provided the necessary information beforehand. We hope to visit again and would recommend to others!

Great Family Gathering!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time! The house was clean, spacious and well laid out. The deck was big enough for everyone, and the dock was big enough to hold the 25' pontoon boat we rented. The screened in porch was also perfect once the bugs came out. The spiral staircase was a little tight, but that only posed a problem when we were brining up a big suitcase. The bunk house was a great addition and the grandparents loved having a place to relax seperate from the main house.

All in all, a wonderful property and it accomodated 4 families easily!
