This lovely private 2 bedroom spacious apartment is in a perfect location. It is two blocks to East End beach, with walking and cycling trails all around Casco Bay and just up the street from Fort Allen Park. Around the corner you will find good restaurants, Hilltop Coffee,Lolita's wine and tapas bar, a bakery, Otto's yummy pizza and more. Rosemont Market has fresh local organic produce, local meats, amazing cheese and good wine. Two beach towels and chairs are provided for guests.
The apartment is on the third floor with a private deck off one of the bedrooms and a shared sunny back yard with barbecue and comfortable seating. The bedrooms have fresh linens on the queen size comfortable beds. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas range and and just renovated this fall with all new appliances, new cabinets and flooring.
The living area is tastefully furnished, with wifi and a large apple TV. The bath has new vanity and freshly tiled tub shower combination.
The floors are hardwood throughout.
I love design and paid attention to the form and function of all the spaces .
There is ample parking on the street and also a space in the shared driveway.
You can easily get by with out a car but if you choose to explore, there are many beaches closeby. I particularly like Cape Elizabeth, Goose Rocks, and Kennebunk Beach. Also LLBeans is a 15 minute drive and if you want to spend a day in Boston, the train does return trips daily.
Both Trader Joes and Whole Foods as well as Hanniford are an easy drive.
Portland also has a vibrant art culture . The art school has fostered and attracted talented people in all the arts. Every Friday evening the Portland Museum of Art is free and there are free weekly concerts in Fort Allen Park.
My husband and I purchased this 3 unit after selling our home in Kennebunk. We love Portland and can't believe how lucky we are to have found this property.
We were born in Prince Edward Island and return there for the summer months. Portland is our other home and our base for visiting our children and for traveling .

Once we decided on Portland, I discovered the East End or Munjoy Hill and didn't want to look anywhere else. We are less then 2 blocks to the Eastern Prom and Casco Bay, can walk to the ferry terminal and St Lawrence Theatre and The Front Room and Rosemont Market are just around the corner.
This unit is on the third floor with spacious sunny rooms, high ceilings and small peeks at Casco Bay. I love walking and bicycling around this area and being able to walk to the ferry terminal.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Vesper Street apartment. The apartment is newly renovated. It is clean, comfortable and offered plenty of space for our family of three. The location is excellent. Great neighbourhood, close to the water, and some great restaurants. I would recommend this property. Its a great base to explore the lovely city of Portland, with it amazing restaurants, as well the many beautiful beaches just a short drive away.
Very nice third-floor property with all the necessary amenities. Close to the Eastern Promenade and within walking distance of downtown Portland.

Thank you to Nancy the apartment owner for providing such a lovely place for our week in Portland. We enjoyed being on Munjoy Hill for the convenience of the restaurants and small markets and bakeries. And there's a lovely walk along the Eastern Promenade and even an outdoor concert on Thursday evenings to enjoy. Nancy was super responsive to every email and provided plenty of touristy information in her helpful notebook. The two air conditioners worked just fine on the few hot days to cool the entire place down. It was too warm to enjoy the small patio off the back bedroom due to a few hot days and others with rain but it's nice to be able to feel the weather when you're on the third floor by sticking your head out the patio door! And if you're into barbecuing the new back patio area is lovely. Closets were ample and the kitchen worked just fine. And the huge new TV was great to watch the Olympics! You can barely see the water from this apartment as it's a few streets away from the promenade but it was nice and quiet and very bright inside with modern decor and a lovely new bathroom. It's a bit of a hike to the downtown area but good exercise....especially coming back up the hill! So overall a good spot to rent in Portland.
My family and I were extremely pleased with Nancy's apartment. It was everything that we had anticipated and the location was convenient to several excellent restaurants and bakeries. It was also within walking distance to the water at Eastern Promenade where we were able to enjoy several walks along the trails and collect sea glass on the beach.
Nancy had left a detailed notebook filled with information that not only included various facts about the apartment (ie: wifi, tv, parking etc) but also numerous suggestions on local restaurants and activities.
It was our first trip to Portland and thanks to Nancy, we plan to visit again.
We absolutely loved this apartment. You couldn't ask for a better location. Nancy was great. There were so many great little restaurants to check out. They knew me by name at Otto's pizza. I stopped almost everyday for a slice. The best pizza ever! I walked to Hilltop Coffee every morning got an iced tea and then walked down to the Promenade to enjoy the most beautiful view you could ask for. I would definitely stay at this apartment again when we visit Portland. An awesome apartment in an awesome city!
Clean, spacious, and very nicely situated two short blocks from the water on Portland's east end. Two roomy living areas, large kitchen and bath, and two good-sized bedrooms. It was perfect for our family vacation with a toddler with plenty of room for her travel bed. Kitchen has all the dishes and cookware needed. A short walk to groceries and restaurants. Easy access to the highway and a quick drive to several great beaches. Highly recommended!
This place is a perfect home for your visit to Portland. it has everything you could possibly need and is in the perfect location to see all that Portland has to offer. I highly recommend Nancy and her beautiful home. You will not be disappointed! Can't wait to go back!!!
You are steps away from the East End beach and are in walking distance to the Old Port, with its many fabulous restaurants and fine shopping establishments. The St Lawrence Theatre, trendy restaurants and local pubs are less then 3 blocks. There are many boat/fishing tours, a downtown trolley tour or the fun amphibious Duck Tour to learn about great city. Portlands Art's District is alive with many exciting galleries and live performance venues that dazzle the senses. It's a short drive to famous Freeport with its many outlets stores for a great shopping experience.
