Debbie and Curt married in 2009. Curt, a builder, grew up in Oakville, Washington. Debbie is originally from Sacramento California, but has lived in Eugene since 1995. She has a 9 to 5 and loves house design. The Elkay House, built in 2000, was designed by Debbie. Curt has since made additions and improvements to it. Together, Debbie and Curt design new homes, which Curt then builds to sell.
We like to travel and between us have visited 26 countries. Prior to meeting Debbie, Curt sailed solo for 3 years; to Hawaii, then made his way to New Zealand.
We enjoy sports, photography, writing and especially our combined 5 adult boys and their growing families. We have a 2 acre place on the Mohawk River in Marcola, Oregon, which keeps us busy.
Debbie and Curt McKim purchased this house in 2000
The location is central to everything in Eugene and the house is surrounded by tall, tall trees. The street that the Elkay House is on is paralleled by Northwest Expressway and River Road. It is not your cookie-cutter neighborhood or home.

Hand-crafted art glass feature windows designed by Debbie.
This was a great rental experience. This is a beautiful, very customized home, clean, with every amenity one could wish for, great customer service from the owners, Debbie & Curt. I would recommend it without reservation.
BTW, I'm an avid DIY home remodeler and this house, designed by the owners, is a cornucopia of clever and functional ideas for storage and space utilization, not to mention the firehouse-type pole for sliding down from the upper floor! -- it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity so I slid down twice! ;-) Fun place.
Thanks to Debbie and Curt for sharing their home.

We rented Debbie's house while in Eugene for a sailing championship. It is located on a quiet street and near the main highways. The house was very clean and was exceptionally well stacked....from the kitchen to the bathrooms. We highly recommend this house.
Also, Debbie is available to answer all your questions and has some great restaurant recommendations!
We had a great stay at this home. The location, neighborhood, and overall details of the home were better than expected. It's a great place for family time, as well as lovely neighborhood walks. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.
We loved our stay at the Elkay house. Comfortable, cozy, plenty of space. Loads of amenities. Quick drive to downtown and UO. Sandy, the manager on site and Debbie, the owner are both lovely to work with. Super contentious and great at communicating. I highly recommend staying here!
Really great place. Very nice interactions. Super clean. Would love to stay here again in the future! GO UTES 62-20
We had a very pleasant stay at the Elkay house and would recommend it to others. The house was in a beautiful quiet neighborhood and has everything and more to offer guests. We came for my nieces wedding and really wish we could have stayed longer.. maybe next time we will and get to see more of this beautiful state. Debbie, Curt. You have a awesome place and our family thank you for having us !
Elkay House met, and even exceeded, our expectations for a place to stay over the weekend in Eugene, OR. This home was so welcoming and comfortable, it felt like home to our family. We hosted a family dinner on Sunday evening and loved having everyone around the big kitchen table. If we are ever back in the Eugene area, we will be booking this home again!
