Our stay at this property was wonderful. Darla was great to work with and the home was very clean. It was everything we had expected and we would highly recommend this as well as staying here on our next visit.

My husband and I came with our three boys and we cannot say enough about this cabin. Perfect location, super cute and cozy, more than clean, and great decor. Easy process and saved hundreds by staying here over Big Cedar-just as great and right across the street. Can’t wait to visit again! Thanks so much!

What a joy it was for my family to stay at Trapper's Den. This cabin was everything that was advertised and so much more. In a very nice and quiet area. Loved it all. Would stay here should too!

I'm writing the review that I wish would have existed when I booked this cabin. We stayed at this cabin over the 4th of July long weekend (which turned out to be just 1 night because we went home after the first night). We have 3 small children including an infant who has trouble sleeping away from home anyway but this cabin sure did not help. The rafters make super loud creaking noises which we were told is common in log homes but I have stayed in cabins before and never experienced this. Every time we got the baby to sleep the noises were loud enough to wake her. And the worst part was the flies EVERYWHERE. So many flies! On us, on our kids, on the food. We forfeited the total amount paid for the remaining 3 days just to get out of there. Property manager was the opposite of helpful and friendly. I would describe her manner as curt. Way overpriced! Next time I will spend a tiny bit more and stay at Big Cedar down the road.

Owner's Response: I am sorry that you are having a problem with your child, but my cabin is not to blame. You told me when you called to try and cancel within the 60 day time period that you had recently stayed somewhere else where the child kept you awake all night and you were afraid it would happen again when you came to my cabin. As I explained, the creaking is very common in log cabins. It is the logs contracting and expanding from the change in temperature. You were there over the 4th of July, the hotter it is outside the more you will hear it. During cooler temperatures you probably wouldn't hear it at all. They expand during the day from the heat of the sun and contract at night as they cool. As for the flies, the only way they can get in is if someone leaves the door standing open. With 3 small children, it is very probable that they were leaving the door to the deck open as they ran in and out. When flies do get in, there is a flyswatter provided for your use in the cabin.
