It was ok for the price -

There was no AC in bedroom the first day. It got fixed at noon the next day. Ritz Carlton has a “hands off” policy for VRBO renters so no room service at all. Restaurant broke down friday at 5 pm- no dinner available on property. Closest restaurant is a mile away at mall. Otherwise the property is as advertised. Not enough towels (6 bath towels) for three adults for five nights. Needed to do a lot of laundry. Meager supplies. Anyone who rents for more than two or three days will need to do a shopping trip for detergent, bath soap. Possibly toilet paper. It’s unfortunate. A few extra rolls of toilet paper and a small packet of laundry detergent would have meant a lot. Pillow cases and an extra blanket had to be borrowed from friends for our daughters pull out sofa which just had a very thin skimpy blanket on it. Plus AC working the first night in our bedroom would have been particularly nice. Owner’s representative did respond very quickly regarding the AC and sent a contractor the following day. Unit was very clean with nice views on third floor. We have stayed at other VRBO properties which were better equipped. I don’t mind doing a shopping trip for staples but the renter should be told in advance .

Owner's Response: There are just some people you can’t make happy no matter how quickly you act on a problem. The report of the air conditioning in the bedroom not working was reported at 1am in the morning and repaired the same day by 3pm. Even though the renter was told somebody would be there to repair it they threatened to leave at10am. The egineer said the reason for the malfunction was leaving the slider in the bedroom open on a humid day freezing up the system. I rented the unit in this case for about half of the price the Ritz charges for the accommodations with no daily room service included but the washer and dryer were available for the rented use. You can’t keep everybody happy but we try hard. Read all our reviews they are all 5 star.

PERFECTION!!! We can't wait to go back!

We just returned from a week at this location! Marty's unit is spectacular with stunning views of the waterway and ocean. You will wake up to seeing some of the most gorgeous yachts passing through the area! My kids who are 6 and 18 months loved this as did we! The unit is gorgeous and clean. There was more than enough space for our family of four. Marty and the property manager Jake are awesome and quick to respond to any questions. We were able to have a crib and high chair brought in from an outside vendor. The pictures don't do this unit enough justice as it is so spacious with two balconies and bathrooms which is great. This Ritz Carlton is 5 star and the service is wonderful. We have been fortunate to travel to several Four Seasons, St. Regis and Ritz Carlton properties throughout the world and this has become one of our new family favorites! It was well worth the 5 hour flight from Los Angeles and we can't wait to get back. The only tough part about this place is when you have to leave. We are already talking about when we can go back! Thank you Marty!

Terrific location, beautiful property, very luxe!

Condo was clean, well furnished and very luxurious; I would recommend it highly to anyone without reservation. We stayed in condo for 6 nights and used the Ritz amenities in full; all of which were very nice, and Ritz staff was exceptional across the board. The high level of service made us consistently feel very welcome and cared for. We had one small question at start of our stay that was answered promptly by property manager, and he even followed up to make sure we were happy; again, well done on the attentive service.

Amazing location Stunning Condo !!!!!

We have been staying at this hotel with my family for the last 6 years.

We have seen many changes at this hotel with three companies running this beautiful site. Slowly the prices have been creeping up, however the last two years I decided to find a owner owned condo I have not looked back since.

You receive all the benefits of the hotel but pay a fraction of the cost.

I highly recommend this condo and this site for a lovely quite family vacation away from the noise of South Beach.

I found the owner very pleasant to deal with always available on the phone.

Looking forward to returning again Next Year.

Best part of Miami

This condo unit, the condo complex and the part of Miami are all spectacular. My wife and I have been there twice in three years and it is maybe our favorite place to go (we vacation about twice yearly).

The condo: Views over both the ocean, some inlet and on the other side of the condo, looking over the entry. The finishes in the place are excellent: the main bathroom alone is worth getting on a plane. The unit is perfect for two people.

The complex: Five frickn stars. They treat you like you're important, even if you're not. The entire building is beautifully finished and immaculately maintained. Just walking through the halls makes you feel good.

Bal Harbour: Relaxed with little of the hectic bustle you'll find further down at South Beach or the Fountainbleu Hotel but it's still close to the Bal Harbour shops and the stores at 91st street. The Ritz has bikes available for guests and the ride to all these stores is about 5 minutes.

The owner was easy to work with (along with his agent) and our agreement of check-in /check-out along with all other expectations was met.

Outstanding Accomodations But the Owner is a Loud Mouth Jerk

The 3rd floor condo was very nice but someone should have checked the condo before we arrived. Half the condo's AC was not working so we contacted the owner immediately and his serviceman showed up a few hours later. Over the next couple of days we enjoyed the view and the comfort of this beautiful condo. A day before we were ending our stay, I emailed the owner Marty to ask a very normal question when guests are having a wonderful time...a later check out, if its possible. My 1st suggestion was a stretch for a 4pm check out and after that was rejected I then asked for a 12 or 1pm check out. That was later rejected as well as he mentioned that the condo was expecting new guests the day after we were leaving. So, of course the next day we were set to leave at the 11am check out time, as per our agreement. Prior to finishing to pack, my partner and I left to go for a walk but arrived back at the condo around 10:15am with the owner's cleaning crew taking apart the condo, stripping beds, etc, getting set for the next guests, the next day. Our bags were on the floor with our clothing on the floor as well and it was obvious that the crew was in the condo for at least an hour earlier.This was a violation of our agreement and our privacy was comprimised. Naturally, I called the owner, Marty, and his answer was, "so what do you expect me to do?" He then proceeded to open up a loud mouth, continued to scream at me and eventhough he violated our agreement, made threats if we did not vacate the condo. Its a shame because my partner and I had a wonderful vacation BUT everything was ruined because of the owner. So be aware of the owner of this condo.....I made the mistake of asking for a later check out but obviously I rubbed Marty the wrong way just by asking. Once again, its a shame...beautiful condo....enjoyed our time BUT stay away from the owner as he is a loud mouth jerk.

Owner's Response: Response from the Loud Mouth Jerk We are truly sorry for this guest’s experience in our beautiful condo but in 5 years this is the first negative review we have received (please read all the reviews) so we would like to tell you what happened. The first phone call we received was about one of the condo’s AC units not working. I had the engineer go to the condo and he found that both AC systems were operating properly. The day before the guests were leaving I received another call to extend the 12pm checkout to 4pm but since I had guests arriving I said I could not grant this request. I received 3 additional emails asking for a later check out. The Ritz’s check out is 11am and the cleaning crew got confused and went to the condo at 11:30, which I realize is before the 12pm check out per our agreement. The guest called me and was very irate and out of control to which I responded by asking him what I could do. He proceeded to say they would not leave until 12:30 or 1pm and at this point I did say I would have to call security. The cleaning crew did come in too early and we apologized for this but the fact we could not accommodate the late check out was beyond our control. We appreciate the fact the guests enjoyed the condo but are sorry we could not extend the check out time.
