Morning Breeze Cabin Rentals
There is a beautiful view from the deck with a hot tub. The bed was very comfortable and we cooked every night. The ride up the mountain is very steep and very bumpy. I think that you need to drive a 4 wheel drive suv for the climb. It would b very hard to go back down the mountain to eat dinner out as I would not want to make the climb back at night
Charles, thank you for your review of the Stargazer, it sounds like you truly enjoyed your time that. I agree, the ride up is a bit bumpy but it sure is worth it with that million dollar view :) I hope you come back and stay with me again in the future ~ Mary
Had an amazing weekend getaway. The drive up to the cabin is a lil steep and bumpy but well worth it! Enjoyed the hot tub and stargazing every night.
I didn’t dock stars but it is good to be aware there are an occasional daddy long leg in the bathroom and a mouse that found our dog food. The cabin is smack dab in the middle of the woods so it is expected a few get thru! If you’re not a fan of critters tho I’d find something more urban!
Overall a wonderful stay and I highly recommend it!!!
Nicole, so glad you enjoyed your stay at the Stargazer, it sounds like you had an amazing time. You are absolutely correct, it's in the middle of the woods and it's you and nature so occasionally a small visitor gets inside. Happy to hear it didn't disrupt your stay and I promise the cabin is under regular pest control service. Definitely come back and stay with me again in the future.
We had a great stay at the Stargazer for my wife's birthday. We were able to bring our puppy and she seemed to have a blast as well. The deck is enclosed with a gate making it easy to hang out outside with her off leash. The property manager was extremely helpful and suggested a nice hike with waterfalls for us to visit and was always prompt in responding. After the falls we made a quick visit to a dog friendly brewery in downtown blue ridge, which was nice as we didn't want to leave her at alone. This would be a five star review, but the batteries in the TV remote did not work and there were a lot of dead ladybugs near the lamp on the bedroom dresser. Don't let this detract you from considering the stargazer as everything else was in great condition and clean. Some of the reviews mentioned the gravel steep path up to the house, but it was no problem for our little Hyundai Accent (even in the rain). We will definitely consider visiting again.
Thank you for your great review of Stargazer. Sounds like you really enjoyed the cabin and the area. Glad we could accommodate your pup and it worked out perfectly with the gated deck. We will definitely have the cleaner check that remote and make sure extra batteries are in the kitchen where we usually keep them. Definitely come back and see us again and hopefully next time you visit it won't be ladybug season and we can earn that last star!
Nice place to relax
The view was amazing. We came to rexlax and we didn’t want to leave. We forgot about the hustle and bustle of every day life for the weekend.
Michael, thank you for taking the time to write a review on the Stargazer cabin. It is definitely away from all the hustle and bustle being located on a ridge on the second highest peak in GA. So glad you enjoyed it and please let us know how to earn the fifth star, four stars are okay but we want to be a 5 Star Company :)
We had a fantastic getaway! Spent time in town and hiking around the trails nearby. Perfect retreat from our busy lives! Will return!
We are so glad to hear you had a wonderful getaway at The Stargazer and that you were able to hike around and see the sights. We are looking forward to your next stay with us! Thank you for visiting the North Georgia mountains!
Fantastic view. Several excellent amenities such as hot tub, fire pit, and gas grill.
Hat tip to managment company for allowing us to check in a few hours early while we tried to escape Hurricane Michael. Much appreciated!
Getting up the mountain was a bit of a challenge but once there the view is absolutely stunning. Really enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor fire pit. Although provided note in kitchen advertised first morning coffee on them, none was provided. If you want ANYTHING consumable for the kitchen, except salt and pepper, bring your own: ketchup, mustard, tea, coffee, mayo, peanut butter, etc. Also bring, toilet tissue, hand soap, and dish washing soap. Soap provided was small bottle of heavily watered down dish soap. Several little notes and signs throughout threatening fines for uses/misuses was off-putting: smoking $350, fireplace $100, thermostat $???, frankly I stopped reading them. Guess the owners had some negative past experiences.
This is the mountains and not Disney World so wildlife is for real. Be prepared to deal with roaming bears and aggressive yellow jacket bees. (Got stung by one.)
We stayed prior to fall leaf changes but that would be spactacular, I am sure, and would be an ideal time to visit. All-in-all a pleasant stay in a well maintained facility.
David, thank you for reviewing the Stargazer cabin, it truly is a beauty and the views are incredible...feels like you are on top of the world. You are correct, we do not leave any food in the cabin due to liability reasons. We did send you an email with the information on what is provided. Same as a condo at the beach, starter amount of TP, paper towels, dish soap, detergent plus small shampoos and soap. The laminates are for those who have never rented before or who don't read the "terms and conditions", where everything is clearly spelled out. We have found that most guests would prefer to know at the front end rather then getting charged later for doing things that they aren't allowed to. Like freezing an A/C unit, lighting a fire in the fireplace in July and smoking in the cabin. I am so sorry if this offended you in any way, that was not the intention. Definitely hope you'll come back and stay with us again in the future ~ Mary
Located on the 2nd highest privately owned peak in Georgia, there is hiking from the front door. The scenery is amazing, wildlife abounds and it's very quiet and peaceful. It's about 10 minutes from downtown Ellijay, where there are plenty of antique shops and restaurants and 15 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge. In BR you'll find many upscale boutique shops and fine dining as well as the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. Lake Blue Ridge is also about 15 minutes away and you can rent boats and jet skies as well as fish. Horse-back riding is 10 minutes away, tubing down the river(s), one location is 10 minutes away the other about 20. Whitewater rafting on the Ocoee is about 30 to 45 minutes away and the Nantahala is about 90. Fishing is everywhere and we are known Internationally for our trout fishing. Amicalola falls is about 15 minutes away and Burt's Pumpkin Farm is the same distance, there's plenty of great trails in the area off of 52W as well as many of the Apple Farms. The beginning of the Appalachian Trail at Springer Mountain is also very close by.
