Why Carol Garfinkle chose North Eastham
We purchased this property in the spring 2012 after vactioning in the area for years. This is our favorite area with a real Cape feel and close to beach and National Seashore. We found a great old home and did a complete renovation inside and out and purchased all new furniture. An amazingly peaceful home inside and out with great views of the water from inside and on the decks.

Splendid home..all you could want!
We could not have been more pleased with our stay. This was our 12th year of renting homes on the Cape and this quickly went to the top of our list. The house is lovely but warm and inviting at the same time. The views are peaceful and the setting private. Everything we could possible need was provided, which is rarely the case. Loved it!
Meticulous home; incredibly thoughtful owners
We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this meticulously cared for home. The home is inviting and bright. We loved sitting on the deck and enjoying gorgeous sunsets. There are multiple spaces for families to gather - or for kids to spread out and have their own space after a long day at the beach. We were grateful for the outdoor shower and also enjoyed making smores around the fire pit. During the one day of rain, we took advantages of the assortment of games in the house along with the large, flat screen TV.
Carol and Andrew are incredibly thoughtful and gracious. They reached out in advance of our stay and proactively offered resources and suggestions for things to do, places to go and restaurants to try. They checked in on us during our stay. I have no doubt that if we had needed anything they would have responded quickly and helpfully.
Lovely home close to a wonderful bayside beach.
A wonderful time in a lovely home!! It was a quick walk to the beach which was important to me since my health and endurance are impaired. We had 7-8 people with us in this house, which sleeps eight. All were adults. The layout of the house is such that the area with the trundle bed does not have as much privacy--you have to walk through it to get to the master suite--but it was fine. It would be ideal for a family with a couple of small children--parents could have their own privacy but be close to the kids. The other bedrooms were very private. My whole group was extremely congenial and we all loved the house. Generally we had hot dry weather. On one day when it rained we had a problem with the smoke alarms--one couple had left their window open with the air conditioning on...condensation on the smoke alarm set it off. Drew was extremely responsive in fixing this problem, and attentive to all of our concerns. Carol was a pleasure to work with as well.
The young adults really enjoyed the fire pit. We ate every night on the deck, using the grill regularly. I was attending a conference in the Sheraton, and we quickly became accustomed to going to the coffee and chocolate store on Route 6 near the house every morning on the way to the hotel (very nice ladies there who would make fresh breakfast sandwiches and espresso--the coffee at the Sheraton was marginal!) In general shopping for necessities was extremely convenient as well with the Eastham Superette close by.
The bay is quite shallow at low tide, so pretty safe for very small children. We found the neighborhood to be quiet and relaxing, although that may vary depending on who else is renting in the area. Definitely a memorable week for all of us! We recommend this home!
The house was great.
Excellent house... great location, the owner, carol, was very quick to respond with questions/help. Would love to rent again.
