Our perfect location offers a short walk to restaurants, bars, markets and shopping. Airport beach and The Keikei Pond (a huge tide pool of calm water with sandy beach perfect for young children) are only five minutes walking away. Tennis, basketball, lane swimming and a children's playground can also be found within a block of the house.
Our third story Crows Nest offers a pool table and stunning panoramic ocean views up and down the coastline. Enjoy breathtaking sunsets all year round serenaded by waves breaking on lava rock.Their ebb and flow will lull you through a peaceful nights sleep on our comfy beds. Come and see why the big island is the best island.
SLEEPING; There are two ocean front master suites with California king beds, lanais and attached en suite full bathrooms. These rooms are large with plenty of extra floor space. The third bedroom has a queen bed with a mountain facing lanai and attached full en suite. On the main level there is a pull out double bed. For extra guests a queen aerobed is provided and can be set up in either of the two large ocean front master bedrooms or in the Crows Nest.
KITCHEN; This dream gourmet kitchen is large and well stocked. We leave spices, oils and other basic condiments to help with home cooking.
POOL; built in 2011 with a splash pool area for lounging and a waterfall the deep end is just over five feet deep.

Ken and Jennifer Moore, Canadians with two children and married 25 years,bought the Kona Sunset Beach House in 2010. After extensive renovations to make it their dream home, they are excited to share it with others.
As Canadians they can only be in Hawaii for six months and hate to see the house vacant. As well, the extra rental revenue will help them keep the home in tip top shape.
Ken has a medical engineering company and Jennifer is a Dentist. They love the big island and all that it has to offer.

Kona Bay Estates is a very special area. Exclusive, with security, there is no better location on the big island. You are within walking distance to Kona's main tourist strip, yet on the edge of town for easy access to the freeway and beaches to the north. If you don't want to go anywhere there are plenty of activities, from tennis to beach, right in the community.

Our experience with this house was absolute perfection. The reservation process was a breeze. The house was exactly as promised. I've never rented a house that was stocked as well as this place was. It's location in respect to dining, shopping and activities couldn't be better. I would highly recommend staying here.
Pictures do not fully represent how beautiful this home is. The view and location is outstanding! We came to the Big Island to celebrate our 25th anniversary and this home was definitely one of the highlights. The gourmet kitchen was wonderful to prepare meals in, fully stocked, ocean view. The ceiling to floor sliding doors on the main floor that completely open to the outside, and the sound of the waves crashing in on the lava rock, is unforgettable. The two master bedrooms with en suites and private lanai's facing the Pacific ocean are fabulous. The crows nest for views, sunsets, and a game of pool...incredible! There were " extras" in the garage available for our use, snorkel equipment, coolers, boogie boards. Easy walk to Ali'i Drive from this location and convenient shopping close by with Super Target/Costco for groceries. Kona Honu Divers for a great Manta Ray experience is only a 10 minute drive. You will truly be missing out on one of the most spectacular rentals in the Kona area if you look elsewhere. We hope to return!
What can I say, what a beautiful house and beautiful location.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay but unfortunately we only stayed for 5 days. We will defiantly be returning to Hawaii.
We shared this house with my wife's brother and his family which made 8 of us. Even though there is only 3 bedrooms there is plenty of room for 8. We were amazed to find the amount of extras left in the house which made our stay even more comfortable.
On another note, i would personally like to thank Cliff for helping my wife out after we had left the property. Once we had arrived in Honolulu we realized that my wife's medication was left behind in the fridge. I contact Cliff and he arrange for the postage of the meds to our hotel in Honolulu. THANK YOU!!!!

My family and I stayed at this house celebrating our 30th anniversary and could not ask for a better time. This is a great home located close to a great town yet in a private gated community. The home was well appointed with all the amenities you could want and the views are astounding. We will certainly be back to the Big Island and will definitely look to stay here again.
