We are staying 8 nights in Esther's lovely apartment half a block away from the Seine. The two bdrm apartment is spacious for our family of four. The kitchen is well equipped for simple cooking during vacation. Esther provides coffee and tea, which is very helpful in the morning. The apartment's location could not be better. It is a short walk to the major attractions, the stores and the restaurants. Hunting for the best baguettes and crepes in the neighborhood has become the mother's favorite sport in the morning. Esther is very responsive in answering our questions before and during our stay. When we arrived, Esther was away; her brother was very helpful. The apartment is clean and the free wifi is fast.
The only problem with the apartment is that it is so comfortable that getting the kids out in the morning to start the day becomes a challenge. We are sad that we will have to leave tomorrow. Yes we will definitely come back! This is home away from home.
Esther, Merci beaucoup for this very nice stay in your apartment which is very cosy, well equiped and as a starting point for discovering Paris highly recommended.
It is also a quite place to recover from the hustle and bustle of the city during a longer stay. You and your brother were attentive, supportive and provided all necessary and requested information quickly and in detail. We did not miss anything in the apartment. Great!
For sure, if we come back to wonderful Paris, we will book again this flat.

Location, location, location! This apartment, with all its amenities, has the best location in Paris. My two sisters and I spent several weeks in this apartment located on a one block long street filled with more than 20 art galleries and a coin museum. It is so convenient to metro and bus stations as well as restaurants, bistros, grocery stores, boulangeries, and patisseries...all within a very short one to three block walk.
It is a ten minute walk to the Louvre over the bridge with its railings filled with locks; ten minutes to San Chapelle and Notre Dame. The Seine River and Pont Neuf are located a half block from the apartment. The Seine River boat ride is docked on our end of the Pont Neuf bridge (€14). The area felt very safe as people were out all times of the day and night.
The owner is so helpful and very quick to answer emails with our many questions before we arrived, including information on what train and metro to take in place of a cab (€10 vs. €40-50). The owner responded quickly to questions when we were in the apartment even though she was on vacation out of the country. Her brother, who has an apartment in the same building, met us at the door after a phone call placed to him 10 minutes before our arrival. He carried our luggage up the 3 flights of stairs and showed us how to unlock the apartment door and around the apartment. The owner left a wonderful directory filled with information including restaurant recommendations (loved Chez Fernand). After lunch we did have to call him again as we could not unlock the door. He arrived in a few minutes and graciously stayed until we got the knack of opening the door. After that there were no problems with the door. Free phone calls to U.S. landlines were a bonus.
Beds were very comfortable - one bedroom had a full-sized bed; the other with a queen-sized bed. The shower had instant hot water although the first morning we did run out of hot water. After that we took quick showers and did not run out of hot water again. The owner also provided coffee, tea, and sugar which were really appreciated.
At the Musee Carnavalet (free admission; recommended by Rick Steves) we discovered two paintings by Camille Corot of our street.
We highly recommend this apartment with a helpful, responsive owner; very clean apartment; great location and good value.
In less than 15 minutes walk, you will have access to attractions such as the Louvre, Notre-Dame de Paris and the Latin Quarter, the currency of Paris, Place Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the Cluny museum, gardens Luxembourg and the Senate, the Odeon Theatre etc.
At the end of the street, you will go directly to the Pont Neuf and the Seine, where you will find the riverboats.
