We spent a wonderful month at this Jiminy Peak house. We had friends come visit, we worked out of the house (it was perfect), we saw 4 plays at Williamstown, 5 concerts at Tanglewood, hit the museums and of course the activities at the mountain. Best beer ever at the bottom of JP. The owners are delightful and extremely responsive and helpful. The house is spacious and well laid out. Beautiful and peaceful place to spend a month (or a week, weekend, etc....)!!!!! You will love it!
We had a lovely weekend here in June- a perfect meeting spot for 3 families from Boston, NYC, and Philadelphia. Greg was incredibly easy to work with and the home was fully stocked and and very comfortable. Our 4 kids (ages 4-8) spent all day Saturday at Jiminy Peak and they had a blast. The house was large enough for all 10 of us to share and dinner on the deck on Friday night was delightful. Will definitely return next time to we head to the Berkshires!!
We travelled to Williamstown to attend out son's graduation from Williams College. Finding accommodations for 10 people proved to be challenging, but we were very lucky to find this beautiful home. Surrounded by gorgeous views, the house is warm and inviting and so well appointed: it was everything that was advertised and more. Greg was wonderful to deal with and made sure our stay was worry free. We enjoyed our stay immensely wished we could have stayed longer and will return again (maybe during ski season!) Thanks Greg
I would highly recommend anyone looking for a family vacation in the Berkshires to stay here. The home was exceptionally well-appointed and laid out perfectly for our extended family. Not only were the adults comfortable, but so were the kids. There were beautiful views, restaurants and activities on site, and the home was conveniently located. To top off the great experience, the home owner was very attentive and made our stay a wonderful family getaway.
We were a group of 8 adults getting together for a girls get-away weekend, and picked the Berkshires due to proximity between New York and Boston. We had a great time! The house was bright, clean, open and spacious. Even with 8 of us, we never felt we were on top of one another. The house has well-appointed, with plenty of towels, linens and every appliance you could possibly want in the kitchen! Greg was super responsive and helpful, and the house book gave us some great tips of things to do in the area. I would highly recommend this property!
We were two families with 3 kids staying at the house. It is specious, well equipped, very clean and comfortable.
Best stay, so far, in Jiminy Peak. We will come back here again.
Property is located in the Black Diamond Road section of Mountainside. It’s height above the base area gives it peace and quiet, as well as fantastic views that are not found in the lower Hemlock Village section of Mountainside. The elevation and exposure to the mountain also ensure a fresh breeze. It takes about five minutes to walk down to the base area. Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort is a fun place to be year-round. Non-winter activities include: Mountain Biking trails, Aerial ropes course & zip lines, Bungee Trampolines, Alpine Slide, Mountain Coaster, Bungee Swing, Climbing Wall, Chairlift access to summit, hiking trails, pools, tennis, dining, shops.
The house is 14 miles from Williamstown and a great “base camp” for Williams College activities. Very close to all Berkshire things to do: Tanglewood (19mi), Canyon Ranch (19mi), Cranwell (20mi), Great Barrington (32mi), and Edith Wharton’s The Mount (21mi). Also close to many public golf courses (only 14 miles to Taconic Golf Club, the #1 public course in Massachusetts), great rivers for fly fishing and white water rafting, amazing hiking trails, and miles of road and rail trails for biking. Wine tasting, hot air ballooning, rowing/sculling, fresh farm produce, amazing restaurants, cultural and recreation activities, and endless antiques/shops are all nearby. Pittsfield is 12 miles away for groceries and essentials. Or you can read a book and never leave!
