About this property

Secluded mountain hideaway just outside of Bozeman

Trail Creek Cabin is an iconic Montana log cabin on 20 acres nestled between Bozeman and Livingston. The 1/2 mile driveway makes it a secluded and private cabin with a seasonal running creek behind the property. This vacation cabin has all the modern amenities of home, including Sonos, Apple TV and Starlink internet , along with a piano and vintage pinball machine.

Downtown Bozeman is 20 minutes away and getting to Yellowstone National Park is only an hour drive. There are plenty of hiking, mountain biking and cross country skiing trails less than 10 minutes away and fly fishing and rafting on the multiple world class trout rivers are a short distance away. If it's skiing that you are interested in, Bridger Bowl is a 30 minute drive, and Big Sky is just over an hour as well! Outdoor activity paradise!

The wrap around porch is your window to wildlife. There is a large dining table and picnic table with 2 grills; a gas grill and a Traeger grill along with a hammock and Adirondack chairs for your relaxation. The outdoor speakers add ambiance to any occasion.

The first floor of the cabin has a fully equipped kitchen with a gas range and oven, coffee maker, dishwasher and microwave. There is a separate entrance to the laundry room from the porch if you've had a muddy day on the trails.

The living room, also on the first floor, can be accessed from the porch by 2 separate entrances, including a set of french doors in the front. There is a flat screen TV and built in speakers throughout the house and porch. There is one bedroom with a queen bed and one full bathroom attached to living room.

The second floor has a loft which is used as a family room. It has a queen sleeper sofa, flat screen TV and vintage pinball machine. There is also a balcony that looks out to the gorgeous pines on the hillside. The 1/2 bath is located on the second floor, which makes it convenient for those hanging out in the family room. The master bedroom has a queen bed, flat screen TV, built in speakers and the master bath attached. There is plenty of room in this vacation cabin for all your indoor and outdoor needs.

Perfect cabin in perfect location
This was our 2nd time staying in this cabin and it did not disappoint. Our group included my husband, his sister, and our 2 Golden Retrievers. The cabin has everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We had several wildlife encounters that were a thrill. We had a small black bear cross the driveway in front of us as well as a beautiful red weasel, and a herd of elk grazed in the pasture below the cabin one evening. The location was perfect for our adventures. We took a boat tour at the Gates of the Mountains, rented a raft and floated down the Yellowstone, drove to Old Faithful, went horseback riding near Gardiner, toured Big Sky, Livingston, and Bozeman, went to the Three Forks park, drove through Ted Turner's ranch and viewed the bison, and enjoyed several hikes. We spent our evenings grilling and chilling. Thanks for letting us share this wonderful cabin!

Breathtaking vacation in mountain cabin perfection!
This cabin was absolutely perfect for our family of five, plus two dogs. Every amenity exceeded expectations, host communication was thorough and prompt, and everything was clean, clean, clean! Secluded but accessible location made exploring fun, with reasonable proximity to Bozeman, Yellowstone and so much more. We hope to return here again and again!

Remote Setting
Valley drive out of town and cabin setting on hillside was impressive especially the wildlife viewing. Bozeman was still very accessible and Yellowstone was an easy drive. However, the stinky well water was overwhelming; the smell was not conducive to doing laundry. The artwork was risque and not family friendly; more than suggestive and not fitting for a peaceful woodlands setting.

Better Than Expected!
The house was fantastic! Much nicer than the pictures even showed. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. The property was gorgeous too. We had such a great time we’re already thinking about coming back in warmer weather.

Perfect getaway
Amazing property and cabin. Cabin is perfect sized, has everything you need, very clean and in immaculate shape. The property is beautiful, nestled in the trees, plenty of shade, all you hear is the wind blowing through the trees. Would definitely stay again. We loved everything about it.
