The cottage is located in the Berkshires on a quiet winding road. Majority of cottages are owner occupied. Therefore you get the privacy & relaxation without the crowds. All the Berkshire attractions are within a scenic drive. Endless activities for the entire family. Something for everyone. The lake is high in minerals which leaves your hair & skin feeling silky smooth. The lake does not show up on tourist maps, so you have private enjoyment.I love waking up in the morning, with my cup of coffee & going around lake in the morning dew. Beaver, Otters, Birds, and Fish greet you along your way. Then take a sunset cruise before BBQ on the deck & gathering around the fire pit.The cottage has electric heat & wood burning fireplace so it can be enjoyed year round. The cottage is fully equipped with all modern conveniences. I can assure you, your entire family will create some wonderful memories here. You will be back again & again. It's convenient, private, a guaranteed Berkshire experience. Jacobs Pillow up the mountain, only 8 minute ride.

I am originally from Michigan and used to spend time in at our cottage Traverse City area and have nothing but great memories. I purchased cottage for my family to create their own memories.
Scott Jeffers purchased this cottage in 2005
I fell in love with the Berkshires. The lake is cristal clear and I enjoy sailing, swimming, fishing, Kayaking, and more... There is something very special about the area and no matter what the weather, there is always something to do.
You are close to all the Berkshires attractions yet you are slightly off the tourest area. Most homes are owner occupied therefore the lake is never crowded. You can truly relax and enjoy the water.
Jacobs Pillow up mountain, only 8 minute ride.
Great cottage tucked in the woods with a wooded path to a tranquil lake. Peaceful setting, however, within 20 minutes of Tanglewood and all the Berkshire attractions.
All you need is food and clothing. Cottage is fully equipped. There are two Hobbie style kayaks available for min. rent to enjoy the lake at Sunrise with coffee or Sunset with cocktail.
Grill on the deck, hike in the woods, firepit at night, museums, outlets, restaurants, theatre, outdoor concerts, and so much more. No matter what the weather there is something to do.
Within 20 minutes of Lenox, Stockbridge, Lee, Pittsfield, and Great Barrington which was recently voted as #1 small town get-a-way.
My group had a wonderful weekend at the Jeffers Cottage! Scott met with us when we first arrived to show us the house and how everything worked as well answer any questions we had! We went in the fall and with the neighborhood being mostly summer homes we had the whole place to ourselves! The house is fully equipped with everything you need. No Wifi but we wanted a weekend off the grid. A 2 minute walk to the lake in Scott's pictures. Scott was easy to contact for anything we needed and gave us lots of info of things to do in the area (The Quarry hike was awesome!) Overall a beautiful weekend in the Berkshires!!!
Scott was a wonderful host. He was very communicative leading up to our stay and made sure that everything was all set for us. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We also enjoyed taking out the "row boat," grilling, the tikki torches, and of course the campfire!
My husband and I spent 2 days at this cabin with our grandchildren ages 6 & 8 and our dog. We had hoped to find a place on a pond, with hiking in the local area, and this suited our needs just fine. The kids had a ball at the pond. It was a bit cool when we were there, and we were the only folks at the small beach. Scott gave us access to his water toys, so the kids had a great time with the inflatables. They also enjoyed using the chess and checkers game set provided. The cottage was comfortably furnished and very clean. The house is equipped with 2 DVD players (along with a large DVD collection), so kids and adults can have their own entertainment. We cooked meals here both nights, and had all the necessary pans and utensils. The area itself was very quiet while we were there ( a Thurs. and Fri. night at summer's end), but because there are several cottages located nearby, I imagine it can get a bit noisy during peak weekends. We would gladly return here again.
My fiance & I stayed here for a few days last month. We were looking to just relax and get away from it all, this cabin is perfect for that.
It's very clean, cozy and has everything that you need. The lake is just a short walk through the woods and is great for swimming, kayaking and just lounging on a float. We went at the end of the summer so we practically had the whole lake to ourselves, which was great for morning swims.
Scott was very helpful and accommodating, I would highly recommend this rental.
This lovely cottage was every thing we hoped for and more, thanks to the owner's amazing hospitality. Scott made sure the home was fully stocked and ready for anything we chose to do. While we didn't use the barbecue, play games, cook meals in the fully-equipped kitchen or watch any videos, my husband and I enjoyed paddling the kayaks out on the beautiful sandy-bottomed lake, taking the comfy folding chairs there for our morning coffee, and relaxing on the deck and in the hammock looking up at a clear blue sky through the trees. The short path through the "forest" to the lake was like a mini-adventure - great for kids young and old. :-) The interior of the cottage is very spacious and homey and would be great for group activities, but we enjoyed it as a place to rest and recharge. Thanks, Scott, for a wonderful stay!
The Lakehouse was clean, well appointed and perfectly comfortable. We needed to get away from our busy and complicated lives with our dogs and this little gem was perfect for just that. We were able to disconnect from society and really relax. We ate fresh food from farm stands, drove country roads with no destination, and slept whenever we felt the desire without regard for the clock. We will be back, that's for certain.
