Scott Mitmesser purchased this condo in 2012
We enjoy coming to Myrtle Beach for a couple weeks every year ....that is why we purchased this condo. There is something for everyone to do in MB. You can play golf in the morning and then hang out on the beach the rest of the day. The beach area at this condo is awesome. The quality and number of golf courses in the area is another reason we come to Myrtle Beach every year. We usually go to one of the many entertainment spots in the evening for fun and dining; our 3 kids can't get enough of all of the fun stuff to do around MB. When we are not in MB, they always want to know when we are going back next !!
The view from the condo is great. The indoor water park is something that children will love. You can quickly get from the beach to the condo. No roads to pass over to get to the beach....that is really convenient. The location of the Dunes Village is central to both the golf courses and the various entertainment spots that are in MB. The gated parking garage is very safe and secure.
We recently stayed in unit 520 for three nights. We had an absolute blast and cannot wait to be returned guests. The condo was perfectly set up with large bedrooms and ocean views from the Master and the living area. The location of the condo could not be any more convenient. It's located right off the elevator ( but we never heard noise), directly above the indoor water park. You can leave condo and be in the lazy river in less than 2 minutes.
The amenities offered at this resort are the best on the beach. Two indoor water parks, 2 lazy rivers, kiddie areas in both parks, pool tables, ping pong, and children's activities. Highlights for us was the Glow party on Saturday night and the pirate ship playground.
The beach in front of the resort was perfection. The beach wasn't covered in shells, which was nice. There are chairs and umbrellas available for rent but we brought our own.
We ate dinner at the onsite restaurant two out of the three nights that we stayed in the condo and were pleasantly surprised with the food. We had great service and great food both nights. Courtney the bartender went above and beyond for my two girls, even making them milkshakes as a special treat.
The owner/manager of this property was so easy to deal with. Jason responded to all of my questions promptly and professionally. He made sure we had everything we needed, which we did. Stephanie was also available to answer a quick question during our stay. 5 star service and a 5 star condo. We can't wait to return and we will definitely request unit 520!
very nice place I had no complaints just a great week! I will be back for sure!! thanks again!
Fantastic condo that was perfect for our large family! The resort staff was very friendly and helpful! This unit was right by the elevators which was perfect for the amount of children we had. We had a great trip and will definitely be back!
My family which includes ages 1,4,15 had a great time at the resort. The resort had something for all ages and the rooms were more than accommodating and clean. Easy access from the room straight to the elevator made getting around all the easier. The view from our angle front was amazing each and every day. I'd highly recommend renting this unit and we will be back next year
We enjoyed our trip to Dunes Village, and had a very good experience with the unit. The owner is responsive and communicated throughout the process. Everything went smoothly.
My family and my cousin's family spent a week in this unit (4 adults and 4 kids). First impression was that the furniture is a bit dated, but not a big deal. Its the beach rental unit, so that is somewhat expected. The facility was perfect for our kids ages 2 to 6. They loved it! The water park was busy, but no too busy to enjoy. My only recommendation as it relates to the pools and water park would be more verification that everyone there was staying at the resort, and suppose to using the facilities. We witnessed from the balcony a car FULL of people leave the water park late one night - hotel towels in hand. They clearly were not staying at the hotel as they were in public parking and talking about "going back to their hotel." Otherwise, it was enjoyable. Remember you are going to be in a pool with lots of people that you don't know, and may not have the same grooming habits. Just a reminder....
The food and drinks onsite were good, and there are several grocery stores near by to fill the kitchen. Everything in the unit worked as expected, and if we decided to go back to this resort, we would definitely look into this unit again.
One last VERY POSITIVE experience with the owner and his team. On my ride home, my wife realized that she had left something in the room that was quite valuable. We called the cell number of the cleaning person (provided by the owner), and she did locate the item right where we left it. This could have been a nightmare, but the owner's team was honest and we are still VERY GREATFUL! We turned around and drove back; she coordinated with us, and met us near by to return the items.
Jason - you have a quality person taking care of this unit! Thanks again for the experience.
We traveled as a mixture of two families with 3 adults and 3 kids between 8 and 12. That's a good size group for this condo and we could have fit a couple more. "Sleeps 12" is true but a bit optimistic. This resort is perfect. The indoor water parks and other games kept the kids busy all week long. There was even a selection of beach toys and some other activities for the kids, which was wonderful to find since we had no room to pack them ourselves. The condo itself has everything you need - exactly as advertised - and worked really well for the combination of kids and adults that we had. Also the balcony has a great view of the beach and the room is very quiet - no noise coming in from neighboring rooms etc.
Scott, Jason and Stephanie were all very helpful and although we didn't need to get in touch too often it was really nice to know they were available all the time.
And a bonus - we asked at the front desk what the resort's rate would be for the same week. They were a little vague about rates, explaining that they changed all the time and varied through the season, but the bottom line was that for that same week we would pay at least $150 U.S. more if we booked straight through the resort.
