3 BR, 2 BA home in the heart of Kihei. Walk to beaches, park, restaurants, shops
Originally from Vancouver, BC Canada, we decided to follow our dream of one day living in Maui. We married in Oahu in November 2015 and moved to Maui in August 2016 with our bullmastiff, Roxy. We love everything about this island and have never looked back!
Laura purchased this House in 2016
Why Laura chose Kihei
Kihei is situated on the south side of the island and is known to be the sunniest and driest spots on Maui. We purchased our property because of the central location. Being able to walk to beaches, shops, restaurants, parks, etc. was important to us. We also love that our home close to everything yet is just far enough away to feel peaceful and quiet. This property had so much potential but needed a complete remodel. We were up for the challenge and are so happy with how it turned out. Our favorite spot in the house is the beautiful lanai that we expanded to twice its original size. Since we love to spend time outside we wanted to make the lanai a place to relax and enjoy. We feel we accomplished this and hope you enjoy the property as much as we do.
What makes this House unique
Our home is completely renovated and modern. We kept the beautiful wood ceilings throughout the house as well as the post and beam in the living room. We chose more modern furnishings than the more traditional, Hawaiian tropical style furnishings typically seen in Hawaii. We invested extra money into new mattresses for all bedrooms so we can provide our guests with a comfortable sleep, just like you would get in your own home. The outdoor space of our property is perfect for relaxing. The lanai is furnished with an outdoor "living room" and hammock as well as a 6 person dining area. Lastly, the location is unbeatable!

This was the perfect place for mid-size family with small kids to stay. Everything we needed was close by, we hit the beach every morning (just a few blocks away!) and Laura was wonderful. She met us at the property upon arrival, showed us where to find everything, was super helpful when the internet wasn't working consistently (she had the cable company out to fix it the next morning!!) and the house was clean, had everything anyone could ever need and a full kitchen for at-home cooking (picky children). We cannot recommend Laura and this home highly enough. We will be back :) All our best, Betsy and Tim Weir
The house is roomy and comfortable. Within walking distance to coffee and some restaurants. Well stocked with beach supplies.
We loved staying at this property. The host was flexible with our check in time and gave us a great tour, showing us the papaya trees in the backyard, the beach gear that we were allowed to borrow, and gave us recommendations for food and how to get to the amazing nearby Charley Young beach (walkable distance). The deck was so relaxing and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and overall perfect. No complaints at all. Definitely recommend staying here to make your Maui experience magical.
Great house for family
The house is great and perfect for children. It’s clean, well furnished, and the back deck/yard is awesome. The living room and deck made it easy for our 3 toddlers (3, 3, 1.5) to play while we relaxed in the evening.
The rooms without air do get hot at night. The fans help but you need to keep the door open or open a window.
It was really convenient that the house includes beach gear, toys, and cooler. Laura definitely put a lot of thought into ensuring her guests are comfortable and have everything they need to enjoy the stay.
I would definitely recommend this house to families or groups of friends. Good location, walking distance to everything and Laura was extremely helpful/communicative prior to the trip!
Exactly as expected
This place was perfect for our group of six adults. There is no central air, but that might be changing. Instead there was a wall unit in the kitchen and one in the master bedroom. Fortunately there are ceiling fans and oscillating fans in the other two bedrooms, but we were forced to leave the bedroom doors open all night to keep air circulating.
The lanai was Amazing! We spent more time out there than I had expected, it was so relaxing.
There were plenty of dishes and cookware which was greatly appreciated.
The house sits back fro the road behind another small one bedroom house, which seemed strange at first, but ended up being great for privacy.
We used the boogie boards they provided which was a riot. Great location, not as touristy as Lahaina, and close enough to everything we wanted to do.
For some really good Poke I suggest Kihei Bar & Grill.
Would definitely stay there again!
Beautiful home, great location
The house is very nice with a great back porch to hang out in the mornings and evenings. Location is just a quarter mile or so from the beach and right in to some shopping, dining, and a huge park with lots of beach. We will stay here again.
