Our townhouse could not be located in a more central location to every season activity in the Adirondack. 12 minutes to Lake George Village, We are also 5 to 20 minutes from white-water rafting, tubing, hiking, cruise boats, powerboat rentals, downhill skiing, train rides, gondola rides, Great Escape, Lake George Village, shopping, dining, historical attractions, nature trails, outfitters, an unlimited amount of mountain hiking trails and so much more! Plus, fabulous Saratoga Springs is within an hour and Lake Placid Olympic region within 90 minutes!
Luxurious, recently renovated, designer decorated townhouse waiting to make your vacation perfect! We pay attention to our guest needs by providing the expected and unexpected.
Located on a cul-de-sac on the side of a mountain, the townhouse is very private (only one other building in the area) and offers forest views from every window. Hiking trails alongside a mountain stream are directly outside the front door. A short 4-minute walk down a wooded trail takes you to a private beach located on a small, crystal clean mountain lake. Spend the day sunning, or on the water in kayaks or canoes that are available, free to our guests. And, if you have children, there’s a playground located on the beach as well as a lifeguard. Enjoy an afternoon game of tennis on on-site clay-courts or a round of golf at the nearby course. The best part is after a day of doing and seeing you can get away to the peace and quiet of this wonderful townhouse to snuggle under a fluffy comforter on top of a way too comfortable bed, and lulled to sleep by the sound of silence in the Adirondack. ($250 A DAY IS BASED ON 2 ADULTS STAYING AT THE HOME. ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR MORE GUESTS.)
It is recently renovated and has everything you could think of to make your vacation hassle free. The location is great! Away from the craziness of LG village, and sleepless nights due to the noise, but close enough to stay with the action! Wonderful for curious children. We have a rocky mountain stream a stone's throw away...great for exploring, nature trails on site and chipmunks begging to be fed peanuts!
Private lake with beach, lifeguard and boats. Tennis players love our clay court! We are in close proximity to an 18 hole golf course and there's a 9 hole on site.
My husband and two children ages 2 & 5, couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The house is in a great central location, and is beautifully decorated. The beds were very comfortable unlike other places we have stayed, and the linens and towels are high quality. Joe (the owner) was very responsive to my emails and answered all my questions. He even called to check in to see if we had any questions when we arrived. Nora (house cleaner), is simply a peach. Gave us some great tips when we arrived. The beach was very nice, quiet, clean and was fully stocked with lounge chairs and umbrellas. I highly recommend this lovely home!
GREAT FAMILY VACATION
Our family of 5 REALLY enjoyed this condo! We all slept great in it because we felt so at home and it was so quiet and peaceful! Everything about the condo was excellent- it was clean, organized, cozy, and functional while also beautifully decorated! It is a very short walk to Tripp lake and our kids spent hours there swimming out to the float, kayaking and making sandcastles. We loved the scenery and solitude while only being 20 min away from Lake George and all the action. We went parasailing, on a steam boat ride, to Fort William Henry, to water slide world, and mini golfing.
We enjoyed meals on the screened in porch and meals out as there are tons of choices for restaurants. We hope to visit again and explore even more!
This home is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. We rented for a family of six and the townhouse had plenty of room for all of us. Everything we needed was on hand, and we felt like we were staying at a friend's house. Very short walk to the lake. Driving distance to awesome hiking, rafting, horseback riding, shopping and dining. We enjoyed being close enough to drive to Lake George if we wanted a crowd, but felt like we were staying at a quiet mountain retreat. We hope to come back!
My friends and I had a very nice time at the condo at Tripp Pond. Any minor issues we experienced were quickly taken care of by Nora or Joe. There is plenty of room to spread out in and we all enjoyed the enclosed porch. It is about 20 minutes from Lake George village, but if you don't mind going on the side roads instead of the main highway, a very scenic ride.
A must if you love ice cream like I do, is Martha's directly across from six flags amusement center. Martha's has been featured on the Today show and is #5 in the country!!!! It is very creamy and delicious. I had it 4 times during my stay, one time it was a Banana Split which I split with a friend and we still couldn't finish it. I posted a picture on Facebook and someone commented that the bowl was bigger then my head!!
From the moment I was in contact with Joe, the owner of the townhouse, I knew it was going to be a great place. He was so accommodating and easy to communicate with. Everything that is posted in the listing is accurate and even better in person. We had all the comforts of home and couldn't have asked for anything more.
We went skiing at Gore Mountain which is about a 20 minute drive from the townhouse. We took a day trip into Saratoga Springs and Ballston Spa (about 1 hour away). If you're into antiques, Ballston Spa had many great shops! We enjoyed time just relaxing in the home, renting movies, playing board games and sitting by the toasty fireplace.
We can't wait to book another getaway with Joe & Dana in the near future!
Thank you again for your warm hospitality!!
Kathy, Tom and Family
My family and I stayed here for the Labor Day Weekend. The place is wonderful. Beds are super cozy, the kitchen is fully stocked, and the entire space is beautifully decorated. We thoroughly enjoyed using the grill and building a fire in the outdoor pit. We were a total of 7 adults plus one well-behaved Chihuahua-Beagle Mix. Joe has a binder with instructions and directions for and to everything you can imagine. The whole reservation process went smoothly, and he was patient when I couldn't figure out how to process the PayPal payment properly. Tripp Lake is a 5 minute walk away which gives you access to canoes, kayaks, and rowboats at no extra fee. And, Joe also has a private kayak you can use if you want to.
We had an awesome time. The only thing that I would say, and this is in no way to detract from the experience, is that if you decide to bring a dog, you can't really bring him to the lake area or on any of the boats. There's ample places to walk and hike, but I would have liked to have been able to take him to the lake during the day. But, I totally understand that public areas have restrictions, so I was good with it. Just keep this in mind if you are bringing a pet.
To sum it up: A great experience and I'll definitely be renting from Joe again next year.
What a fantastic, quiet, weekend getaway! The home is beautiful and impeccably decorated, every detail is taken care of. Anything we could have needed was available. All of the rooms were comfortable and our favorite part was the fire place, especially in negative degree temperatures! We can't wait to stay again, maybe in the summer with a few more people, to take advantage of the outdoors. The owners are great to deal with, so friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend a stay in this home!
