Cottage, 2 Bedroom, 1 Bath With Mountain Views (Sleeps 4) TOT#1096N
The Pine Street Cottage is located one hour north of San Francisco nestled on a 20 acre private ranch off of Scenic Hwy 12 in Kenwood, CA. Our late Aunt Sally Stanford purchased the ranch in 1961 as a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of San Francisco. She was San Francisco's most famous Madame and Sausalito's former Mayor. We named this rental 'Pine Street Cottage' as a tribute to her original bordello on 1144 Pine Street in San Francisco.
The cottage is located right in the heart of Sonoma County wine country in a area that is well known as the Valley of the Moon.
We are registered with the county and our Transient Occupany Tax Number is # 1096N.

What a great place to stay!
My wife and I stayed 3 nights at the Pine Street cottage and couldn't have enjoyed it more. First, the place is clean, well kept and looks brand new. Judy absolutely went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Fresh ground coffee, orange juice and milk in the fridge. Beautiful bottle of wine and cheese. Just fantastic. We even barbecued one night on the weber grill (charcoal, lighter fluid all there for us!).
I think what we enjoyed the most was sitting out on the patio, listening to the creek which is only steps away. Watching the birds and squirrels as they played all around us. This place is magical. We will be back!
Clean, comfortable, convenient cottage close to Santa Rosa
Pine Street is a lovely cottage! Although it appears small from the outside, we were surprised by the spacious, comfortable layout inside the house. The master bedroom has a huge closet and lots of space for luggage, and the roomy kitchen is well-equipped and thoughtfully stocked with staples for cooking. The bathroom is also roomy and comfortable, with a large shower, plenty of towels, and miscellaneous items that travelers may have forgotten. Everything was very clean and tidy. The furniture in the sitting area is in good shape and is far more comfortable than many rental cottages we have stayed in. A small patio area includes chairs and a table to enjoy a glass of wine or a meal outside. The property is an easy drive from Santa Rosa and very close to lots of wineries, restaurants, and hiking trails, and the host is near-by and made herself available for any questions we might have.
Clean and fresh. Good location. If you like to watch the dear out the window and listen to the owls hot and 10 minutes down the road is shopping, golfing and more wineries than you can visit, this is perfect. My second stay here, and we will be back.
I wish I could give it 10 stars. The rooms were a good size the beds were super comfortable. The kitchen had all modern appliances the bathroom was newly remodeled with an incredible shower. She graciously supplies you with everything you'll need butter, milk juice even a spare toothbrush. If you're there for the wineries there's two that you can literally walk to, the location could not be better. Perfect to share with another couple, you'll save hundreds of dollars not staying in a hotel. Thank you Judy & Dave
Exceeded our expectations
What a delight to stay in such a well-appointed cottage. It was so peaceful and quiet! Everything was immaculate, fresh, and the attention to detail was amazing. The bed linens were my favorite--seriously, I am now on a search to find those exact ones for our bed at home.
After years of staying in vacation rentals, this was by far our favorite place. With snacks and breakfast foods provided, we felt it was such a great value. We do hope to return and explore more of the area. So many wineries and restaurants and too little time! Thank you for your gracious hospitality.
Sally Stanford Ranch was perfect! The cottage is nestled in a beautiful ranch style setting and in a very quiet location. The home is set up with all the amenities. We would stay there again without a doubt. Thanks again for sharing your home!
