Great view and location but not accurately advertised

Positives aspects:

1. Located on the sea side with a full view of the Biarritz proper coastline and lighthouse

2. Comfortable terrace with ample seating for four people, plus chaises for sun bathing

3. Reasonably clean and modern

4. Bedroom side with Murphy bed with sufficient space to leave the bed down

5. Storage space for luggage

6. Free parking in front of the property or inside the gates when available

7. Nespresso machine available for use to those of us who like good coffee

Negative Aspects:

1. The property is located on ground level in full view of passers by and vehicular traffic, not as private as shown in the photos.

2. No wine glasses nor proper water drinking glasses. A new set of 16 red wine, white wine, champagne, and water glasses cost only 9.00 Euros

3. Fridge way too small for holding anything but for a day or two

4. There is no usable second bedroom. The second bedroom is located in a different building and has no bathroom

5. Too many knickknacks that could break and add nothing to the place

6. No night stands

7. Food shopping and restaurants require ground transportation because the nearest are 1.8 Km away

8. Customer support was slow and required various communications on our part

Summary:

In spite of some of the negative aspects as listed above, we fully enjoyed our stay at the property and highly recommend it, especially because very little effort and investment could add so much to the experience

"Cap Sud" in Biarritz

Spectacular! The view is amazing. The apartment faces south, so you can see the Grand Beach, the skyline of Biarritz, the statue of the Virgin on the rock, the mountains in the distance, Spain, the lighthouse, and miles out to sea. Although I live near Chicago, I have been to Biarritz a number of times previously because I have a friend there. This was my first time staying at Cap Sud and I would like to stay there for all of my future visits. The selfish part of me wants this gem to stay unadvertised so that it will be available for me when I want it, but I must reluctantly tell you that if you are going to Biarritz, you need to be staying here, at Cap Sud. The price is a fraction of what you would pay for a sea view room at the Palace Hotel and yet the view is a thousand times better. At the Palace Hotel you don't see the mountains. At the apartment, two sliding door windows open onto a terrace. The terrace has flower boxes and even a small lemon tree. The terrace has a table and chairs. There are also chaise lounges for the sun worshipers. The interior of the apartment is fully modern. The plumbing fixtures are new. There is cable TV and WiFi. There is an efficient heating system that made the apartment cozy even though the night time temperatures during my stay were in the 50's F. There is a washing machine, stove, refridgerator, toaster, etc, and all the necessary pots, pans, plates, cups, and silverware. But any furnished apartment will have all of these things. The difference between the other Biarritz apartments and Cap Sud is the view. Why rent an apartment in town when you've come to Biarritz for the sea? It is wonderful to go to sleep while hearing the rhythmic pounding of the surf. I haven't slept so soundly in a long time. The owner is one of the nicest people I've ever met. She is charming and sweet and has a genuine concern that you have a pleasant stay. If you like sunsets, the ocean, and mountain views, then this is your place.

exceptionally

the host was very warm and the view from the apartment is incredible, especially the sunset ..

very comfortable and lovely decorate.

the center is 7 mns walk from there.

we'll come back again.. and soon :)

vacances réussies ,à recommander

Appartement trés agréable, fortement bien décoré et trés propre.Vu imprenable comme sur les photos on ne s'en lasse pas .Accueil trés sympa par la propriétaire,vraiment à recommander,rien à redire (il y avait même les capsules Nesprésso :)!
