Welcome to The Lodge on Vasquez Creek, one of the largest and upscale private homes in the Winter Park/Frasier Valley area. The Lodge on Vasquez Creek is located on a beautiful, secluded lot, one block from the heart of downtown Winter Park in the picturesque setting on Vasquez Creek. The free local shuttle bus stops steps from our home and runs to the ski resort and all over town. If you prefer to drive, we are less than a 5 minute drive from the Winter Park Ski Resort.

This stunning home boasts very spacious entertaining areas both inside and out and a private foot bridge crossing Vasquez Creek. The Lodge on Vasquez Creek features 8 bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms, making it one of the largest rentals in the area. Our home was recently finished with all the upgrades including high end finishes, granite throughout and brand new furnishings making for a spectacular vacation rental.

This private home has a fully-equipped, gourmet kitchen with high end, stainless steel appliances including: a Wolf 8 burner gas range, large 30' double ovens, oversized Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer, and double Bosch dishwashers. There is also a separate wet bar, complete with a wine cooler and bar sink, perfect for mixing cocktails or pouring a glass of wine. The eat-in dining area has a large, twelve foot table that seats 18 comfortably, with additional seating for 4 at the bar island. There is also additional seating in the adjacent room with a large conference table that seats 12, if needed.

In the luxury master suite, you can lay in bed with amazing views of the ski area and Vasquez Creek. The master suite boasts a large walk-in closet and five piece bath with huge soaking tub, walk-in tile shower and double sink vanity. All eight bedrooms have their own private baths en suite (connected to room for maximum privacy - no sharing or walking down the hall), large closets and high quality bed/bath linens.

The family room is complete with large 60' HDTV flat screen and huge rock fireplace. Enjoy the multiple gathering and living spaces, private hot tub, family game room with tons of board games, puzzles and an Xbox Kinect gaming system, free wireless internet, 2 car garage, huge entrance/foyer room with plenty of storage for skis, boots and snowboards, laundry room with washer/dryer, 2 cribs, 2 high chairs, and private foot bridge crossing Vasquez Creek.

Why Ashley Seligson chose Winter Park Area

We choose this home for its beautiful, private lot on Vasquez Creek, yet its close proximity to the heart of downtown Winter Park. We love walking into town to enjoy all Winter Park town has to offer. Since we have two, young children, we are frequent visitors to Hideaway Park. Since this is our 'home away from home', we wanted a home that quiet, yet spacious enough to host friends and family who come to visit and enjoy the beautiful Rocky Mountains.

What makes this house unique

We are one of the largest, upscale private homes in area. We have the best of both worlds by being a block off Main Street and the heart of downtown Winter Park, yet on a very private lot on the banks on Vasquez Creek - it doesn't get much better than this! I love that our home is designed for large groups in mind...A fully-equipped kitchen that can handle feeding large crowds, multiple living spaces, so you can be close, yet have plenty of room for the entire family and every bedroom having its own, private bathroom (no sharing or walking down the halls). Our favorite places in our home (depending on who you ask) are the kitchen with the magnificent views of the creek or the deck out back with the private hot tub and again the beautiful view of being right on the creek with the mountains in the back drop!

Very nice accommodations

Our party of 21 family members fit perfectly in this home. We ranged in age from 2 years old to our 60's. Everybody had a bed and a bathroom, which was really nice. The kitchen is awesome, it was stocked with the MOST kitchen supplies of any place I've ever stayed, including multiple crock pots, toasters, coffee pots kitchen utensils, plates, silverware and even multiple ovens, dishwashers & refrigerators. Lots of room here, we were not on top of each other. We had no problems with the direct TV or internet, everything worked perfectly. Also, the location is great as it is only about a 2 or 3 block walk to town. That was nice for the teenagers & young 20's that we had staying with us. While I did not personally get into the hot tub, those in my party who did said it was nice. It was a bit warm in Winter Park while we were there, so the creek was running quite fast. It was a wonderful sound to hear as we were able to sit outside on the decks. Our group has previously stayed at other larger homes location in Winter Park, but they all preferred this house hands down, mostly because of the common living space located all on one floor, and because of the large, well stocked "play" room. There were plenty of toys and games for adults and little ones!

I only have 2 issues about the property....the kitchen is SO well stocked, there wasn't really any open drawer or cabinet space to put the food items we brought with us. An empty pantry would be nice. And the master bedroom mattress made noise when you changed position. Now, I am spoiled as I have a tempurpedic mattress at home, but the master bedroom mattress, while comfortable enough, was a bit loud through out the night.

Other than that our stay was perfect. I would definitely rent this location the next time this large group decides to visit Winter Park.

Plenty of house for your large group

Alex and Ashley were very responsive and did all they could to ensure our stay was enjoyable. We had 17 people stay in the house and everyone had their own bed, so space is not an issue. This is not to mention the very large, well appointed, kitchen. The oversized hot tub was clean and maintained well, which made it a perfect place to be after a day of skiing. The house was easy to find per the directions provided and is very close to downtown Winter Park. Close enough that we were able to walk to restaurants/bars from the house. Proximity to the slopes and to shuttles to the slopes was also great. If you have a big group coming to Winter Park and you'd like to have them stay in one place, this is the house for you.

Dream house - PERFECT location

Gorgeous home big enough for the entire family! We loved being so close to town and could walk everywhere. The shuttle to resort was very close and convenient. Personally, I LOVED the kitchen - a chef's dream. Ashley was great to work with and very helpful for offering suggestions for the area. Can't wait to come back!

Please check the check out list before you rent , is a pain in the ass.

9 of my buddies & I rented this home 2 nd week of dec. No doubt ,a great location but on the very first night master bedroom was frozen as thermostat was defective.I called owner requested local maintenance to replace.unit. ....owner said she had no local service, i spent 3 hours....changing thermostats...... from other zones which worked well in master bedroom, , fortunately , i dropped the initial defective thermostat which seem to clear debris in/of contacts, at any rate 3 days later master bed room finally reached 60 degrees...brrrrrrrrrrrrr.. .I tried to focus the owner via phone(when she would even answer while she was in Alabama ) that if the in floor pipes broke would cause enormous grief's but was like talking to the wall, also she promised to have direct t.v. fix the internet & tv receptions after 4 days ...14 texts 8 calls she finally arranged to have re booted..actual problem she had .. is she has a 12.00 monthly cheapo type service which she refuses to upgrade . ..on night of leaving we saw the check out demands, of taking 4 full garbage cans 2 blocks actually dragging in snow ice. also saw 250.00 charge if one piece of furniture was moved 3 inches omg.. . suggest potential renters request check out demands b- 4 sending a deposit , and get confirmation owner finally gathered local maintenance for emergencies. .and then simply advise direct t.v. code & password so renters can easily contact Direct t.v.themselves. ,as we had 2 guys get hurt skiing ...all they wanted to do was rest & watch their foot ball games. and could not believe the owners continued reluctance to help us solve her direct t.v. problems.

Water pressure in bath room next to master broom is almost zero, either pipes are corroded ... or just too small in diameter as home is basically part of 3 attached much much older homes.................. be careful of walking out of bedrooms to front room as steps are severe...... especially at night...........night lights are extremely needed ...

10 years ago we had 2 Winter park homes..also a Vail home ....rented them out..often.. BUT .. with local on site management. ... as service is everything , NO we never ever will rent this property again....!!!!...

Owner's Response: Unfortunately, this review is nothing but exaggerations & blatant lies. We have a wonderful team of local people who help us manage our home while we are not in town. There is also an informational binder in the family room detailing mechanics of the home, emergency contacts, etc. Bottom line - all issues bought to our attention were remedied during their stay and everything is in good working order in our home. Check out requirements are nothing out of the ordinary - stripping beds of sheets, taking the garbage out, turning down thermostats & hot tub, loading the dishwasher & locking the house. Our home was updated in late 2011 & was brought up to code in remodel. We are always here to answer any questions.

Beautiful, functional rental!

This rental property worked perfectly for our family reunion and accommodated everyone very well, with each bedroom having its own bathroom, plus an extra powder room. The hot tub was a big hit, as well as the creek running through the back yard of the property. The kids had a lot of fun watching for fish in the creek and getting their feet wet in the (very) cold water! The kitchen was very functional, with great quality appliances. Ashley was great to work with, and everything went very smoothly. Thank you!
