Large well appointed villa with stunning views.
A well appointed villa with stunning vistas. Very well located on a private olive acreage.
A terrific property for a family celebration. We enjoyed the villa to its fullest having chefs, cooking classes, yoga and cycle tours all originate at the Villa.
Our hosts went above and beyond to make this a very special celebration.
Thank you Jeff!
Hope to have you with us again for more cooking and laughing!
A group of 12 of us stayed in August for two weeks, teens and adults. The villa was absolutely stunning, quite and peaceful yet a short ride to montepulciano . As previously stated in other reviews the photos really don't do justice, the villa.is huge with plenty of private space for 3 families, beautiful antiques are everywhere. The garden and pool were fabulous too, but most fabulous of all.were our hosts ( and their delicious wine!! Which was delivered daily) Francesca and Jim who went out of there way to help us with everything from resturant tips and booking tables to bringing fresh pastries when she realised somebody had a birthday. Most beautiful place we have ever stayed in really cannot recommend it enough!! Thanks again
Lovely accommodations; beautiful setting!
Wonderful place and amazing hosts! Francesca and her husband were extremely helping in offering suggestions of places to visit. The villa was peaceful and comfortable--we would definitely stay again!
A fantastic place with wonderful hosts
We were 12 people and 3 generations - and we all had a fantastic holiday. The garden was perfect for reading, playing, swimming and relaxing. The villa is really spacious and even more beautiful than in the pictures. The dinners on the terrace were unforgettable. The views are terrific and the surroundings perfect. Francesca and Jim are the bests hosts we could have imagined - always helpful and doing their best to give us a wonderful holiday. We certainly had a fantastic time and would love to come back!
It could not have been better
I agree with the person who said it deserves 6 stars. It’s a beautiful home with plenty of room for our 3 generations and lots to do. Very well situated to visit other places in Tuscany or just hang out. We cooked, used the chef, and went to some of the many wonderful restaurants in town. Our kids loved all the wine tasting.
Francesca is incredible and a wonderful hostess. She is very responsive at every stage and even helped us get a gluten free birthday cake.
This was a bucket list item for many years and I am glad we waited for the perfect place.
Even though we live in Hawaii am hoping to return some day.
Ciao from the Linds
I very much enjoyed our talks under the living room vaults as much as meeting your lovely family. You have been the perfect guests, Thank you for your kind words and for feeding the new cat!!! Arrivederci, I hope, in the near future in Hawaii!
In the fall of 2017 our family had the very good fortune to be able to stay at Villa Le Caggiole in Montepulciano. It was a holiday that is made of dreams. We were anticipating a wonderful trip but when we arrived the charm and the beauty of the Villa far exceeded our expectations. The beauty of the surroundings was only surpassed by the graciousness and generosity of our wonderful host Francesca Lucci.
We are a multi generational family and were lucky to stay for a week, but we felt we could have stayed forever. Our twenty-something boys swam in the outdoor pool and rented bicycles to tour the amazing countryside. There were many evenings of family games of Bocce on the front lawn. My husband has a prosthetic leg and can struggle with getting around easily, the villa was very suited to his needs and Francesca made sure that we had everything we needed and shared wonderful recommendations of nearby towns to visit.
In addition to those wonderful day trips (Sienna, Pienza, and several others) we all enjoyed our daily trips to the town of Montepulciano to delight in the generosity and hospitality of the local shop keepers.
Francesca was so attentive and so incredibly generous that we formed what I hope to be a lifelong friendship. Her knowledge and recommendations for our daily trips to the beautiful surrounding villages helped us so much to enjoy this incredible vacation.
There were so many amazing aspects of Villa Le Caggiole itself; the lavender and rosemary gardens, the vineyards and the wine produced there, and the terrace overlooking the countryside just to list a few.
We live in the heart of the beautiful Finger Lakes in upstate New York, and have been fortunate to travel to many beautiful places in the world, but our trip to Tuscany stands out by far. It is a trip that we will never forget as a family and hope to have the good fortune to be able to visit again in the fall of 2019.
Montepulciano's position in southern Tuscany is an ideal base for excursions to the major artistic, cultural and recreational resources in Tuscany, Umbria and Northern Latium. Nearby can be found sport/athletic facilities (stables, tennis, golf, hiking), spas and health centres (Chianciano, S. Albino, Bagni S. Filippo, Bagno Vignoni) and some of the best eno-culinary touring in Italy (wine, cheese, local products, restaurants).
Pool opens on May 30th and closes on September 30th. Security deposit of Euro 500 to be paid in cash upon arrival (it will be returned at the end of the stay). Final cleaning fee of Euro 150 also to be paid in cash (200 for rental beyond one week). Guests are expected to arrive after 4 P.M. and to leave before 10 A.M. We suggest you bring beach towels, otherwise they are available for rent for euro 5,00 per person.
