A verdant green secluded hilltop masterpiece of modern-tropical architecture overlooking the blue Pacific in Laguna Beach. Just a 10 to 12 minute stroll to the sand, this is a very private property, with no houses on all sides or traffic on the dead end cul-de-sac. This villa style beach house is built into the side of a hill to obtain a flat area at the top for an exciting indoor/outdoor living experience area, with endless 180 degree panoramic ocean white water views, breaking waves, and a classic northwest view all the way to Palos Verdes Peninsula. This Laguna Beach Villa is molded into the hillside’s natural landscape and creates a unique and modern living environment with panoramic ocean views, some of the best in Laguna Beach.
Three stories of living space are perched on top of the garage. An elevator or koa wood stainless steel staircase carries you up past the two levels of bedrooms to the living/dining/kitchen great room and backyard of the top view level.
The upper story is a giant indoor/outdoor living area. The inside great room includes the gourmet kitchen, sit down bar, dining room and living room with flat screen television. The ten foot tall copper clad koa wood sliding walls of glass open the inside to the outside stone decks and pool/spa areas. Here are planted areas of exotic tropical flora, a rock sculpture, solar heated swimming pool with multiple cascading waterfalls and a large spa plus an outdoor kitchen, barbeque, stainless steel fridge, and eating area with limestone counters. A large wood and hand woven thatch and bamboo palapa imported from Bali covers a floating marble rock eating table with seating for eight outside.
The outdoor area is situated to receive sun all year round for your sunbathing pleasure. There are generous uses of round Bali stones in various colors and shapes to create a beach-like entrance to the pool. Above you sway palm and banana trees in the Shangri-La like setting with tropical plants and flowers of all types.
The modern style kitchen indoors has a large island with a glass surfboard shape sit-down bar suspended over a rainforest stone granite countertop. Also included is a Viking 8-burner cooktop with a stainless steel and glass hood to complete the island. The koa hardwood flooring and custom horizontal grain wood cabinetry in the kitchen accent the carved palm tree scene on pantry doors. Stainless steel Electrolux appliances complement the rainforest granite stone countertops and onyx stone backsplash and complete the large gourmet kitchen. There is also a large gameroom with a professional-size pool table and flat screen television for your enjoyment.
All the doors and windows are custom koa hardwood, and the windows are copper clad on the outside. The bathroom koa doors are carved with different palm trees. The bathrooms have Bali-style zen cabinetry, granite countertops with glass vessels and a generous use of glass and stone tiles throughout.
With few neighbors and no traffic on the dead end cul-de-sac, the tranquility of the setting attracts numerous birds and wildlife. This makes for a picturesque natural setting while watching the waves breaking on the vast Pacific Ocean and enjoying the ever changing sunsets into the sea.
As the hummingbirds wiz by and the bluebirds sing in the natural habitat, your attention is drawn to the ever present panoramic Pacific Ocean. It’s a daily pleasure to watch the waves breaking as the sun sets into the sea, at your own private beach resort.
Light the barbeque and tiki torches, cut up the sashimi, and do a few laps in the pool before Jacuzzi time. Hurry up and slow down this is the real Laguna Beach!

Let me say first off that we have 3 boys, ages 5, 9, and 11. We travel often and have stayed in 5 star hotels, rented condos and also own 2 vacation homes on the East Coast. What attracted us to this house was the photos and description. I am very familiar with the Laguna Beach area and we rented the house hoping the house would be like it seemed in the photos. The house was beautiful...the view spectacular and what I loved most of all was that the house did not look like a typical rental home with cheap furniture and mismatched decor.
The owner, was such a nice person and very easy to deal with. For those of you unfamiliar with the area, Laguna Beach is a great destination...great shops and restaurants, beautiful beaches, and close to Disneyland! It was also a great location for traveling down to San Diego.
My boys loved the pool and the views...my husband and I loved the fact that the Master Bedroom was on a separate floor than the other 3 bedrooms. Great views from the Master Bedroom as well. In addition to all this, we could not see or hear our next door neighbors.
If you are looking for a beautiful house in a great location this is it!
We had a great time in Laguna Beach thanks to our time spent at this home. The location is close to everything (3 mins to to PCH) if you ever need to leave. Entire place is very clean, comfortable and well-stocked with everything needed to make your stay perfect. The landscape, pool, hot-tub and pacific coast views are better than the photos. Owner provides plenty of towels, linens and outdoor seating options for the whole family. The modern kitchen has most kitchen gadgets and appliances work well. The house is well maintained. We rented a Suburban for our family of 7 (parents, kids and infant) and parked it easily in the garage. The elevator was a huge plus especially with luggage and groceries. Overall, we were extremely happy. Great communications with the owner before, during and after the stay. Highly recommend.
This house was AMAZING, the views alone merit it 5 stars. Out every window was gorgeous mountainside or breathtaking views of the ocean. It was spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and well suited to our family of 4 adults and 3 children. Pool and spa were wonderful. Kitchen was stocked with a good assortment of dishes, gadgets, and pantry items. Having many levels to the house was fun, offered everyone privacy, and gave us room to spread out. Showers were wonderful, hot, and good pressure. Pool table was bonus fun for the kids!
I do have some feedback to offer. Some of the matresses were not up to standard. The King and one of the Queens were good quality. The other Queen sank in the middle and was very uncomfortable. The beds in the "kids" room (Full and Twin) were pretty terrible, sunken, creaky, you could feel the springs. Generally, the house could use a little maintenance, like a once over by a handyman. Small stuff like toilet paper holders falling off the walls, cabinet door coming off in the kitchen, some duct tape fixes here and there. If these things were attended to, the house would be truly perfect. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we would definitely come back!!
If we stay in Laguna again it will definitely be the here!
Excellent facilities and location. Hosts could not have been more friendly and accommodating to our needs. A short downhill walk to the beach (almost a private cove) and close to town. Spa view is one of the best I have seen for sunsets!
This was the perfect house for our family of 9. The architectural design is gorgeous and very functional for a large group. The location has a breath taking 180 view that makes you never want to miss a sunset by the gorgeous pool and patio. The house is 5 levels with amazing balcony view from the bedrooms. There is an elevator which was very helpful with groceries and luggage, however we used the stairs mostly and loved it because we were getting exercise while eating vacation food. The kitchen and bathrooms are very nice! There is no A/C but a cool breeze was always blowing through the tall sliding doors on each level. The pool, hot tub and landscaping was so beautiful and it was great to have for relaxing with all of our adult kids after a day at the beach. Noel was an amazing host and was available with anything we needed. He and Katie took the time to recommend great restaurants and fun things to do during our stay. We absolutely loved this home and location and was sad when it was time for us to leave. It is definitely at the top of our list to stay in this home again!
Our group of 5 adults stayed here for a week. Noel was great to work with and it was obvious that he takes great pride in the house. The house was beautiful, spacious and clean. The 180 degree views of the ocean were breathtaking. Even though the houses are close together in this area, it was very peaceful, especially in the pool/spa area. We enjoyed walking around Laguna Beach and found plenty of places to shop and dine. The house is situated perfectly between Anaheim and San Diego and we made several day trips. Be sure to go whale watching and take a day trip to Tiajuana. By far, this is the best VRBO rental we have experienced. We didn't want to leave!
