Blown away!! Do not even hesitate!

  • 5 of 5

It's hard to know where to begin to describe our stay... Let me start off by quickly explaining that although I currently live abroad and travel quite a bit, I am born and raised in Montreal, so have a pretty good lay of the land.

The location is stellar! We did not have a car during our stay and quite frankly, with this location, did not need one. Everything is literally steps away! Public transportation, Jean-Talon Farmers Market, great restaurants, bakeries (yes with an 's'), coffee shops, grocery stores, Little Italy, cute boutiques, banks, dry cleaners, parks, bicycle path and I can go on! Towards the end of our stay, there was an 'end of summer' block party for the surrounding neighbourhood with live music and it was pure magic! I can't stress enough how happy we were with this location.

The listing was precisely as shown, very clean, extremely well maintained and our hosts responded to our every need in a timely and efficient manner. If something needed to be done - which was rare - it usually happened the same day!

Our hosts took such good care of us. Upon arrival there was a printed map of the surrounding borough with cool spots and restaurants to check out. They have a beautiful garden in their flat and would occasionally spoil us with fresh fruits & vegetables! One night a next door neighbour had a party that apparently went late. My husband and and I hadn't heard a thing, but by the next morning our hosts thoughtfully inquired if the music had bothered us & to not hesitate to let them know. Things like this impress me...

Not only would I highly recommend this spot, my husband and I have already reserved again for next year! Solid home run!

A sincere MERCI to our hosts!!

Every Bit as Comfortable As Home

  • 5 of 5

we chose Montreal for a long weekend to celebrate our 25th anniversary. we didn't have the budget for Europe, but we wanted to experience a different culture. you do all the planning, reading blogs, etc., but you don't really know if everything is going to live up to billing. well, this flat did and it became THE perfect place for us from which to enjoy Montreal!

located just half a block from the Beaubien Metro, it was tucked into the quaint, welcoming, comfortable, unique neighborhood known as Le Plateau. the pictures on the listing were true to life, and we LOVED being part of a neighborhood with the Jean-Talon Farmers Market and other great dining just steps away from the flat! we were just minutes away from great dining (St. Viateur Bagels, Le Express, Au Pain Dore, Chocolat & Juliett, Patati & Patata (BEST POUTINE--skip the wait at La Banquise!!) not only in the 'hood, but also off Ave de Mont Royal, Rue Saint-Laurent, and whatever else you can find off the Orange Line. we didn't rent a car and between the 747 bus to the Metro and the efficient STM system, we didn't need it! we were even able to visit Old Montreal from this locale and not feel like we were too far off the beaten path.

the apartment is perfectly appointed--we especially liked the jacuzzi tub after our pedestrian jaunts, and having access to great coffee just steps outside the second bedroom was a great way to start the day! we even took advantage of the full-sized washer and dryer after my husband accidentally spilled red sauce on a brand new shirt.

we had one rainy day and the comfy couch and wifi allowed us to plan {and nap} in the kind of comfort a hotel just can't provide. we didn't eat in, but we could've. the kitchen is spacious and with the market and a regular grocery just three blocks away, we might when we return.

and i do mean "when." Le Chateaubriand II was peaceful, clean, and just all around wonderful! thanks H&M!

Appartement impeccable à tous points de vue.

  • 5 of 5

AJP

Wonderful Montreal

  • 4 of 5

The apartment is as it looks in the pictures on-line. It's very comfortable and nice to have outdoor patios in both the front and rear of the apartment. Just remember, you walk up 2 pretty steep staircases, so pack light. Unfortunately, the Berbien metro station which is literally down the block was closed for renovation. But the walk to the Rosemont or Jan Talon stops were convenient and easy to find. Definitely do the free walking tour of Old Montreal - Marc , our guide, was really knowledgeable and we went back to many places he suggested we investigate further. Montreal - a delightful city with excellent cuisine right in the neighborhood. We'd return to this apartment again and recommend it to others.

A lovely residence in a convenient location

  • 5 of 5

We all enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. It was just as presented in the photographs. The owners were very helpful and responsive to any questions we had. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and that we were comfortable and happy for the duration of our stay. Their recommendations for places in the neighbourhood were appreciated and accurate. We would certainly stay here again.
