|Minimum Stay||7 nights|
'Villa Yaiza' is a 4 bedroom and 2 bathroom detached property situated on Fuerteventura's Championship golf course. Set-up as a ‘home from home’ the villa is fully equipped and is furnished to a high standard. It has TWO private heated pools (1 especially built for smaller children) in a fully landscaped garden, with sun-bathing areas and a large roof terrace. Our PERGOLA has been professionally covered (not the norm) for that all important break from sun. Also RARE a side door into our en suite from the pool area has been built, great with kids and guests with less mobility. The villa is 15 minutes from the airport, near good restaurants, hotels and shops. As a mum of one small and two big kids its a great place, I feel safe and everything is at hand you will have a relaxed time.. heaven!!
Family orientated: Villa Yaiza is owned by people with a young family and has been set-up with this in mind as a 'home from home'. It is, therefore, particularly suitable for families with children who will be delighted with the two heated pools (please ensure that children are supervised in the pool area).
The villa has a large first story sun terrace, providing views to the golf course, the sea and the mountains (the sun-sets are superb). The sun terrace around the pools and on the roof provide a special and private place to catch those rays and vitamin D!
Local Beaches: There are a number of excellent beaches in Caleta de Fuste. These are particularly suitable for children, with clean sand and a gently-shelving entry to the sea (as well as toilet facilities and restaurants and bars in the local vicinity). The beaches are protected by man made breakers and are not susceptible to the high energy / red-flag waves in the north of the island (Corralejo). The beaches are a 20-25 minute walk from the villa (or a 5-10 minute drive).
Had a wonderful time here with our two children 9 and 7 in August 2008. Very spacious and clean and had everything we needed. A true home from home. The kitchen was well stocked with all plates, glasses etc. It was lovely having air conditioning as we definitely
The pool area was also lovely and clean and it was nice to sit out in the morning having breakfast in peace and quiet.
The weather was great, sometimes to hot so it made all the difference having somewhere to sit in the shade when it got all too much.
We cooled off in the pool which the kids loved and had plenty of play things to keep them amused! They also loved the paddling pool as did I...great for sitting in with book in one hand and glass of wine in the other!
We don't play golf but there's plenty to do near by with literature in the villa about the local area. Great beaches, restaurants and shops.
Thank you for a great two week holiday. See you in 2009!!
I have submitted this review after the owners contacted me and asked whether I would be happy to leave one after they had received a spam/bad review out of the blue. They have asked me to be honest and so this is how our holiday went. My family and I stayed at villa Yaiza this summer and I can honestly say we had a fabulous time. We went with our children and their grandparents. We hired a car so we could see some of the island. Try Cicar as we thought their cars were good and safe and based at the airport. We were met on time by the property manager who showed us around the villa, gave us the keys and left. The kids jumped straight in the pool which was lovely and clean and warm! The villa was very clean and had all we needed as a family. The kids loved the towel art left on the beds! We ate out most nights in town, walking down early evening and then getting a taxi back approx 4 euros. Fado rock was our fav for food and atmosphere. We went to the zoo during our stay which is quite expensive but a good day out and then we went to the sand dunes in the north. Andrena was so helpful and everything was as stated on the advert so do not worry there. The review that has been left is either as stated spam or a bitter guest as I can honestly say the villa is clean and perfect for a family holiday and also the price is amazing for what you get considering what we would pay at a hotel for the 6 of us. Please feel safe in choosing this villa, you wont regret your time here.
This is a lovely villa; very clean, well equipped and properly looked after.
The pool is a perfect temperature, the area quiet and the supermarket so cheap!
We had a great holiday and would love to come back. Thanks!
Had a wonderful time at Villa Yaiza. Villa is well equipped and have everything you need for a stay. Both pools are clean and water is very warm. Would highly recommend it to anyone choosing to go to this part of the island.
This was our first time booking a villa instead of a hotel and we found the process really easy, Andrena is so friendly and sent out helpful info which was great! We stayed in February and I was so impressed at how warm the heated pool was, far warmer than any hotel pool at that time of year. We enjoyed the walk to Caleta but when we were feeling lazy we caught the free bus from the Elba Golf hotel nearby. Taxis were also cheap and easy. Wifi in the villa was excellent too. Hoping to return in the future. We travelled as 2 adults plus a 14 year old, 8 year old and 5 year old, all are now saying they like villas more than hotels :-)
Our second stay in this lovely Villa, the location is superb with the very well stocked Supermarket 20min walk away with either a 3Euro taxi ride or the courtesy bus back to the golf hotel which is 2 miniutes from Villa Yaiza.
As we are a family of mixed ages a bonus this year for us was the wifi (included in the rental) and the English television channels !!
There are plenty of new sunbeds to laze around the lovely pools and the much welcomed covered area to escape the hot sunshine. The side door to the en suite is great for access to the loo to save walking through the villa when wet from the pool.
The villa is so well equipped and modern with lovely furnishing and décor, Andrena was a pleasure to deal with during the booking process.
The only disappointment for the 5 of us is that Villa Yaiza was already booked for the same dates in 2015 whilst we were there this year as we were intending to book for our 3rd stay !!

Sun, sea and sand: Fuerteventura offers them all in abundance.
Villa Yaiza is located on the Championship Golf Course in Caleta de Fuste and is close to a number of superb and family friendly beaches. At the entrance to the golf course is the Atlantico Centre, which is a modern shopping mall with a high quality food supermarket. There are many high-quality restaurants in Caleta to suite all tastes (Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Indian, fish, steakhouses, etc) as well as snack bars, coffee shops and relaxed and friendly bars. The Caleta harbor provides for sea related recreational activities (scuba diving, wind-surfing, etc) or just 'people watch' in one of the harbor bars!
Further afield newcomers to the island should certainly visit the sand dunes in Corralejo (not quite so family friendly but stunning nevertheless). Also, take a trip south to Jandia for some alternative beaches. For the children there is the Baku water-park in Corralejo and also the zoo in Lalajita.

Although we only take £100 per one of two week booking. Please also remember that this is a villa on a golf course.
